Abstract

Routine health checks, especially anthropometric measurements such as height and weight, are very important for the prevention and early detection of stunting in early childhood (1-5 years). Stunting caused by long-term malnutrition can inhibit physical growth and brain development in children, thus affecting their productivity in the future. However, manual measurements that are still widely used have various obstacles, such as low accuracy, potential bias, and long implementation time. Conventional measuring instruments are often not optimal due to limitations in accuracy, safety, and comfort, especially in Posyandu. Therefore, it is necessary to design a height and weight measuring instrument that is integrated, ergonomic, lightweight, safe, and attractive for children, to make it easier for Posyandu cadres and health workers to detect stunting more accurately and efficiently.

Abstract

Optimization of work methods is a key step to improving operational efficiency, particularly in the manufacturing industry which faces high cost pressures. This research was conducted at PT XYZ, a company specializing in processing cooking spices and sauces, located in the strategic industrial area of Jababeka, Cikarang. The study focused on the packing line of the filling machine ML6 with the aim of identifying, analyzing, and optimizing work methods using the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) approach. The results showed that implementing the DMAIC method successfully reduced idle time, balanced the workload among operators, and increased packing line productivity. These improvements led to annual cost savings of Rp244,674,216 and a workforce efficiency increase of 25%. Thus, the DMAIC approach has proven effective in addressing operational problems and significantly contributes to cost reduction as well as increased production process efficiency

Abstract

The construction industry in Indonesia continues to grow, yet projects often face deviations from initial plans, particularly concerning cost overruns and schedule delays. This study evaluates the cost and schedule performance of the Revitalization of Pasar Gembrong Sukasari Market using Earned Value Analysis (EVA), a quantitative method for monitoring project efficiency. Data were derived from weekly progress reports, S-curve projections, and the project’s budget plan (RAB). At week 35, the Planned Value (BCWS) was IDR 55,052,769,527.00, while the Earned Value (BCWP) and Actual Cost (ACWP) both amounted to IDR 49,830,463,809.67. The Cost Variance (CV) of IDR 0 and Cost Performance Index (CPI) of 1.00 indicated precise adherence to the budget. However, a Schedule Variance (SV) of -IDR 5,222,305,717.33 and a Schedule Performance Index (SPI) of 0.905 revealed significant schedule delays. These findings demonstrate that while the project maintained financial efficiency, critical time management inefficiencies led to schedule overruns. The study underscores the effectiveness of EVA in identifying performance gaps and highlights the need for improved scheduling strategies to align time and cost objectives in construction management.

Abstract

The manufacturing industry plays a crucial role in the process of transforming raw materials into finished products. Quality is an aspect that influences the level of consumer purchases. This study aims to examine the fineness of flour and the criteria that impact the selection of alternatives in the optimization of the production process. The Mamdani Fuzzy Logic approach is used to evaluate the fineness of flour based on parameters affecting product quality, namely 14% moisture content, drying time of 5 hours, and drying temperature of 55°C. The processing of input variables involves 27 fuzzy rules and utilizes the defuzzification process, resulting in an output of 15 µm. The application of the AHP method aims to identify weight values to determine priorities for the selection of alternative decisions. The mapping of weight values produces a Consistency Ratio of 0.69959 (Temperature and Humidity), 0.66050 (Quality Consistency), 0.50211 (New Drying Technology) which becomes the selected alternatives. The results of the study indicate that the combination of both methods significantly influences the fineness of flour and production optimization at CV. Tepung Tapioka XYZ.

Abstract

Jalan Raya Taman is located in Taman Subdistrict, Sidoarjo Regency, East Java Province, which has a section length of ±8KM with a 4/2 T type which is the main route for traffic flow. Along Jalan Raya Taman there are business, commercial and densely populated areas which affect traffic flow and are prone to vehicle build-up. The U-Turn facility on Jalan Raya Taman cannot fully overcome the problem of conflict, because the more vehicles that use the U-Turn facility at the same time or close together will cause a queue of vehicles making the U-Turn and cause traffic jams. in the same or opposite direction. The aim of this research is to determine the average volume of vehicles using the U-Turn facility on Jalan Raya Taman. This research method was carried out quantitatively using the 2023 Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines (PKJI). The results of this research concluded that the highest Skr value for the volume of vehicles making a U-Turn at the U-Turn facility on Jalan Raya Taman, Sidoarjo was obtained by U-Turn 1 on Monday. with a value of 1188.00 Skr/hour and U-Turn 2 on Tuesday with a value of 1089.50 Skr/hour.

Abstract

XYZ Company is a company engaged in fertilizer production in Indonesia. Fertilizer producers are faced with a number of challenges, namely demand fluctuations caused by seasonal factors or changes in consumption trends that often make fertilizer production difficult to predict. The company currently has inaccurate forecasting on fertilizer production as a result of which there is an excess or shortage of fertilizer production. This research aims to solve the problem of forecasting calculations and selecting the best forecasting method to be used in the amount of fertilizer production at XYZ Company. The methods used are the Single Exponential Smoothing method and Holt's method. Data processing will be carried out with Excel software using sales data in the previous period at XYZ Company. Based on the data processing that has been done, it can be seen that Holt's method is the best method to be used to forecast the amount of fertilizer production at XYZ Company. This is evidenced by the results of forecasting calculations and also the results of forecasting error tests that have been carried out where the Holt's method has the best results

Abstract

PT XYZ is a company engaged in the production of fertilizers. With the monthly targets that must be met. The phonka IV unit has several categories of machines such as the Rotating category, the Instrument category, the Electrical category, each category has several problems with its components. So that it can reduce the production that must be achieved and financial losses due to Downtime. Therefore, Company XYZ must calculate to find out the most optimal time interval to reduce damage to each category of its machines. The method used to solve this problem is to use the FMEA and RCM methods with the help of excel and minitab software to facilitate data calculations. The results of data processing show that the total RPN obtained with a total of 470. After calculating the Company's interval. The Rotation category should be done every 31.61 hours, for the Instrument category it should be done every 2.81 hours, for the Electrical category it should be done every 2.83 hours. Then the Company can find out the planned schedule.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the inventory of urea fertilizer raw materials at PT XYZ using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method to determine optimal ordering, Reorder Point (ROP), and Safety Stock to minimize total inventory costs and reduce the risk of stock shortages. The data used includes raw material requirements, lead time, material prices, and storage costs. The results showed an average monthly requirement of 21,119 kg with a total cost of Rp3.23 billion. Ordering costs reached Rp335 million, while storage costs reached Rp386 million. With a Safety Stock of 2,645 kg and an ROP of 12,501 kg, the company can manage raw materials efficiently, ensuring smooth production without inventory buildup. Recommendations include implementing EOQ for cost efficiency and more optimized stock management.

Abstract

This study aims to optimize the tensile strength of woven melinjo tree bark fibers in noken bag products as a superior regional product based on local wisdom. The research method used is an experimental approach with stages of literature study, material selection, determination of test parameters, creation of woven patterns, and tensile strength testing. Melinjo tree bark fibers were woven in three different patterns: 1-1, 1-2, and 2-2. The results showed that the weaving pattern significantly influences the mechanical properties of the fibers. The 2-2 weave pattern performed best in terms of tensile strength, with tensile stresses ranging from 24.8-25.2 N/mm². The 1-1 weave pattern had the highest elasticity and flexibility with 2.8% strain and 2.8% flexibility. The optimal weave pattern depends on the specific application and product requirements. These findings can serve as a basis for future development of melinjo tree bark fiber-based products, particularly noken bags as a superior regional product based on local wisdom.

Abstract

Occupational safety and health (OSH) is an initiative to prevent occupational diseases and accidents. Especially in the warehousing section, the risk of work accidents very prone to happen. Company X's pipe and meter warehouse is a storage and service area for goods such as pipes and meters. However, in the process of supplying and servicing work accidents are likely to occur. So to overcome the risk of work accidents, mitigation efforts are needed by applying the FMEA and FTA methods to assess the level of risk and how to prevent it. The results of calculations using the FMEA method in the preparation stage pipe service are eye irritation with an RPN value of 108, and at the implementation stage is cut by sharp material with an RPN of 432. Then in the service meter the results of the FMEA calculation, namely at the preparation stage is the foot injury with an RPN value of 24, then in the implementation of the work is the hand injury with an RPN obtained of 60. And in the FTA method the causes of work accidents include human error, material, method, and machine.
