Abstract

In the digital era, Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) face challenges in managing transactions and stock items that are still done manually using Microsoft Excel. This method is less efficient, prone to errors, and time consuming in data processing. To overcome these problems, this research designs and develops a web-based cashier application using the Extreme Programming method. This method was chosen because of its flexible approach in handling changing user needs and improving the efficiency of software development. This application has main features such as recording transactions, managing stock items, and real-time sales reporting. Testing is done using the Black Box Testing method to ensure that the system runs according to its function. The implementation results show that this application can improve efficiency in recording transactions, reduce errors in data processing, and provide stock information and sales reports more accurately and quickly.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze risks and develop mitigation strategies in the supply chain of CV Kopi Biji Palembang using the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method. The research was conducted through direct observation, interviews, and data analysis covering procurement, production, storage, and distribution processes. Each identified risk was evaluated based on Severity, Occurrence, and Detection, then calculated into the Risk Priority Number (RPN). The results showed that the highest risks were related to delays in raw material supply and errors in the production process. Mitigation strategies were formulated to reduce the impact of these risks and improve operational efficiency. This research is expected to provide practical contributions for medium-scale coffee businesses in systematically managing supply chain risks.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the supply chain efficiency of CV Kopi Biji Palembang using the Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) model. The research is motivated by the challenges faced by local coffee companies in managing inventory, distribution, and resource utilization effectively. This is a quantitative descriptive study, with data collected through field observation, Likert-scale questionnaires, interviews, and literature review. The analysis focuses on the five core SCOR processes: Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, and Return, supported by the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) to determine performance weighting. The findings indicate that the main weaknesses lie in distribution and inventory management, while production planning is relatively efficient. Recommendations include optimizing distribution flow, implementing data-driven inventory control, and strengthening supplier collaboration to enhance overall supply chain efficiency.

Abstract

This study is motivated by unpredictable demand fluctuations at CV Kopi Biji Palembang, which often result in the risk of both overstock and stockout. The research aims to improve inventory management efficiency through the application of the ARIMA (Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average) model for coffee demand forecasting. This quantitative study utilizes six months of historical demand and inventory data, with steps including parameter identification (p,d,q), stationarity testing, and model evaluation using AIC, BIC, and MAPE. The results show that the ARIMA (1,1,1) model provides highly accurate predictions with a MAPE of 0.65%, effectively reducing overstock and stockout risks, lowering storage costs, and supporting more precise procurement planning. This study recommends integrating ARIMA forecasting results with EOQ and safety stock calculations to optimize inventory decision-making.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the sales performance of two e-commerce platforms, Shopee and TikTok Shop, using sales data from Flora Store, a home-based perfume business located in Lamongan, East Java. In the face of increasingly fierce competition between digital markets, businesses such as Flora Store are utilising online platforms to reach a wider consumer base and increase sales. Sales data from April 2024 to March 2025 were analysed using Tableau software. The results of the analysis show that Shopee occupies the cash cow position due to its stable and dominant sales performance, while TikTok Shop is in the question mark position, as it has high growth rates but unstable sales. This study provides a strategic overview of the use of digital platforms in developing home industries and suggests the need for a more aggressive content marketing approach.

Abstract

This study aims to design an automatic seed sorting device for G-0 potato seeds using a load cell sensor as a solution to the limitations of manual sorting systems commonly used in the field. The system detects the seed weight through a load cell sensor connected to an Arduino microcontroller, enabling precise and automated sorting. The Exponential Comparison Method (MPE) was applied to evaluate four design alternatives based on functional, technical, and operational criteria. The results indicate that Design B is the most optimal, achieving the highest preference score. Financial feasibility analysis further supports the project's viability, with positive NPV, a high IRR, a B/C Ratio above 1, a short payback period, and a low break-even point. Therefore, the tool is considered feasible both technically and economically and shows strong potential for broader implementation in the agricultural sector.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Economic Production Quantity (EPQ) method in scheduling ground coffee production at CV Kopi Biji Palembang. A quantitative approach was employed using primary data from observations and interviews and secondary data from production documents. The EPQ model considers annual demand, setup cost, holding cost, and production rate. Results show that the optimal production quantity is 39,683 kg per cycle, with three production runs annually. This significantly reduces inventory costs and minimizes the risks of overstocking and stockouts. The EPQ implementation improves operational efficiency and capacity utilization. This study recommends adjusting the cycle during seasonal demand peaks.

Abstract

Earned Value (EV) is a control method to measure the performance of a project from a time aspect in a sustainable manner and make cost estimates required until the project is completed and the project completion time. This method is one of the appropriate methods to be used in analyzing the Assakinah Medika Hospital Medical Building Construction project where the realization of the progress of the ongoing work on the project does not meet the plan, which only reaches 33.077% where the progress of the ongoing work should have reached 41.795% so that the project experiences a deviation of -8.718%.

Abstract

The Public Relations (Humas) Division of Politeknik Negeri Bengkalis has an essential role in external relations and publications, including documenting campus activities. However, the documentation storage process remains scattered across various members’ devices, lacking a centralized storage medium, which poses risks of data loss and makes shared access difficult. This study aims to develop an integrated Network Attached Storage (NAS) system that is secure, cost-effective, and accessible from anywhere. The system was built using an Orange Pi Zero 3 Single Board Computer (SBC) as an alternative to the Raspberry Pi 4 to reduce costs, along with the nextcloud software and the Fail2Ban security mechanism. Testing results show that the NAS can be accessed via both local networks and the internet, with an average transfer speed of 27.5 MB/s (220 Mbps), sufficient for document and archive storage needs. The system proved to be secure against brute force attacks and provided centralized data access convenience. This implementation successfully meets the research objectives by offering a flexible, secure, and affordable storage solution for institutions, while serving as an effective alternative for digital data management.

Abstract

Indonesia is recognized as the world's leading producer of palm oil (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.), which contributes to a substantial accumulation of oil palm biomass waste. Among these, oil palm fronds present a promising potential as low-cost and eco-friendly adsorbent materials. Concurrently, the repeated use of cooking oil generates used cooking oil, a waste product that poses significant health risks due to the accumulation of harmful compounds. This study explores the application of oil palm frond-based adsorbents for the purification of used cooking oil through an adsorption mechanism. Experimental results revealed that the optimal adsorbent performance was achieved using 4.5 grams of adsorbent with a particle size of 100 mesh, which successfully reduced the turbidity of used cooking oil to 28.5 NTU, with a total adsorbed turbidity value of 95.5 NTU. Kinetic modeling indicated that the adsorption process followed a pseudo-second-order model, supported by a high correlation coefficient (R² = 0.9983), suggesting that the adsorption mechanism is dominated by chemisorption involving chemical interactions between the adsorbent surface and the contaminants in the oil.
