Abstract

One phenomenon that often occurs in residential areas is the night market. Night markets offer lively and affordable entertainment for the community with various game rides such as carousels, Ferris wheels, and mini trains. The existence of various night market toys is certainly inseparable from the existence of manufacturing industries that produce night market toys and mini trains. One of the fairly large ones in Madiun is CV. XYZ, which is engaged in the manufacture, trade, services, supply, and sale of various kinds of mini trains and children's toys. Every industry certainly faces competition, so CV. XYZ is no different, so analysis is needed to determine the company's competitive position and the strategies needed to remain competitive with its competitors. SWOT analysis and the CPM matrix can be used so that companies can determine the right strategy in business competition and determine the company's competitive position. From the data that has been processed using the SWOT matrix, IE matrix, and CPM matrix, the results obtained are (-0,14 ; 0,375), which is in quadrant II supporting the Diversification strategy.

Abstract

The Indonesian tofu industry faces challenges in the soybean grinding stage, which is still dominated by small-scale machines with limited capacity, poor grinding quality, and low energy efficiency. These constraints reduce the productivity and competitiveness of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). This study aims to design a more efficient tofu grinding machine that meets user needs by applying the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method. Using a descriptive approach with quantitative support, consumer needs (Voice of Customer) were identified, translated into technical responses, and analyzed through the House of Quality (HoQ) to determine technical priorities. Results show that consumers demand large production capacity, smooth grinding results, energy efficiency, durability, and easy maintenance. The highest-priority technical responses include high-power motors, stainless steel piping, and large-capacity grinding tubes.

Abstract

The results of this study aim to help analyze inventory management at the Amanda Brownies outlet branch in Pasuruan City. This research employed a qualitative method by conducting direct interviews with employees of the Amanda Brownies outlet branch to obtain data used in inventory calculations. Based on the interviews, the employees stated that inventory management had never been carried out before. Therefore, this study attempts to calculate ordering costs and identify items that should be prioritized using the ABC method to assist the owner in managing the inventory. The results show that the ABC method can help the Amanda Brownies outlet branch in Pasuruan City determine which items should be prioritized. The ABC method also helps the owner identify the optimal order quantity and frequency

Abstract

CV. Merdeka is a company engaged in the construction of MWC NU REJOSO and MWC NU NGULING buildings. After seeing the demand for branch expansion, this growth can also be seen in an increase in distribution costs. The main goal is to find the route with the shortest total distance for analyzing this data using the Traveling Salesman Problem method. Based on the results and discussion, it is concluded that manual calculations provide optimal results, namely paths A to B is the shortest route that can be taken with a distance of 14.3 kilometers

Abstract

PT XYZ is a company engaged in the field of packaged drinking water (AMDK). The system used in this company has a very good system, aimed at meeting consumer demand. The implementation of preventive conveyors is very important to maintain the performance and reliability of the conveyor system in the long term. By taking preventive measures regularly, we can avoid damage and disruptions that can stop production or cause high repair costs. Through preventive maintenance, we can ensure that conveyor components continue to function optimally, reduce the risk of failure, and extend the life of the equipment. Preventive Maintenance is a maintenance and care activity carried out to prevent unexpected damage and find conditions or conditions of the conveyor that are damaged when used.

Abstract

Construction work is one of the highest-risk sectors for musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) due to awkward working postures, repetitive tasks, and heavy workloads. This study aims to identify the level of MSD complaints and ergonomic risks among workers in the forklift classroom construction project at CV Ghalea Elka Persada. A quantitative approach was used with a sample of 10 male workers through the Nordic Body Map (NBM) questionnaire and posture analysis using the Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) method. The NBM results showed that 60% of workers were at low risk, 30% at medium risk, and 10% at high risk, with the most common complaints occurring in the lower back (30% very painful) and left upper arm (50% painful). Meanwhile, REBA results indicated that 20% of workers were at very high risk, 50% at high risk, and 30% at medium risk. These findings emphasize the need for ergonomic interventions to prevent further musculoskeletal problems.

Abstract

Inefficient production scheduling is still a major challenge in job shop manufacturing systems, especially in industries with high complexity such as PT Propan Raya. Inaccuracies in resource allocation and work order often lead to long turnaround times, low machine utilization, and failure to achieve production targets. This research responds to these challenges by proposing the application of the Hybrid Active-Non Delay Schedule algorithm, which combines the principles of prioritization of critical operations and utilization of work time without delay. With this approach, scheduling is designed not only to avoid idle time, but also optimize the overall production flow. This study shows that the application of the algorithm is able to construct a work order that is more adaptive to the real conditions in the field, resulting in a significant increase in efficiency and productivity. These results demonstrate that the integration of algorithmic approaches in production scheduling can be a strategic solution for industries seeking to improve competitiveness and operational sustainability.

Abstract

Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) is a crucial aspect of the oil and gas industry due to the high potential for hazards arising from unsafe actions and unsafe conditions. This study aims to analyze OHS risks in blasting and painting activities at PT XYZ. The methods employed include HIRADC (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Determining Control) for hazard identification, and the What-If Analysis approach to evaluate various risk scenarios. Data were collected through field observations, interviews, questionnaires, and a review of company documents. The findings identified 30 potential hazards across four main activities, all of which were classified as having a moderate risk level. Following the implementation of risk control measures, all identified hazards were successfully reduced to low to moderate risk levels. These findings highlight the importance of continuous OHS system implementation to ensure workplace safety and operational sustainability

Abstract

The home-based marble processing industry is an informal sector with a high risk of pulmonary function disorders due to uncontrolled dust exposure. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between individual characteristics (age, nutritional status, smoking habits, years of service, working hours, and mask use) and pulmonary complaints among marble craftsmen in Tulungagung. A quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design was employed, involving 32 respondents selected using total sampling. Data were collected using the ATS-DLD-78A questionnaire and analyzed with Pearson’s correlation test. Results showed no statistically significant relationship between individual characteristics and pulmonary complaints (p > 0.05), although a negative correlation tendency was found for nutritional status and mask use. These findings highlight the greater influence of occupational environmental factors over individual factors in informal settings. Community-based interventions are recommended to improve workplace conditions and increase education on the use of personal protective equipment to prevent pulmonary function disorders among workers in the home industry.

Abstract

PT Emitraco Transportasi Mandiri is a company engaged in Trucking, Stuffing, Container Depot, and Warehousing. Therefore, it is closely related to the design of the facility layout. A poorly designed warehouse layout will disrupt the performance of the storage system. This study was conducted to increase the effectiveness and efficiency in warehouse design. Class Based Storage is used to sort goods that are often out or sold with the ABC classification, then propose a layout that is in accordance with the classification. The results of the analysis and evaluation show that the initial layout has a material movement of 22568 m2 and the proposed layout is 22349 m2, this result provides a difference of 219 m2 which has an impact on the level of efficiency and effectiveness of goods movement in the warehouse by 0.97%. the company needs to change the placement of goods in order to reduce the distance.
