Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent to which development strategies have been implemented and in order to determine the inhibiting factors in developing Pelawan beach tourism objects for sustainable tourism areas in Tanjung Balai Karimun. This study uses a descriptive approach with qualitative research methods, then analysis using SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity and Threath), IFAS and EFAS matrices. The results of this study can be concluded that based on the SWOT matrix with internal IFAS factors and external factors EFAS has strengths with a score (0.900), weaknesses with a score (0.885), opportunities with a score (0.915), and threats with a score (0.843). The total strengths and weaknesses are (1,786), the total score of opportunities and threats is (1,758). While the results of the SWOT diagram matrix, it can be concluded that the difference between the internal factors of strength and weakness, the X axis of the horizontal line with a value (0.15) and the difference between the external factors of opportunity and threat, namely the Y axis in the form of a vertical line with a value of (0.072). It can be concluded that Pelawan beach tourism object is included in Quadrant I, namely a progressive strategy. The position of Pelawan beach tourism object is in an advantageous position because this tourist attraction has the opportunity to increase the availability of facilities and infrastructure as an initial reference for tourism development and take advantage of the strengths of Pelawan beach attractions.Suggestions from the results of this study are the IFAS and EFAS factors, namely the availability of facilities and infrastructure as an initial reference for tourism development, so that it needs to be rebuilt and increase the ability of human resources so that the strategies developed are more focused and better.Keywords: Development Strategy; Sustainable Tourism; SWOT Analysis; IFAS, EFAS

Abstract

Tight competition among hotels in Special Region of Yogyakarta requires each hotel to implement its best business strategy to guarantee their business goals as targeted. The hotels, therefore, needs to manage their strategy. Strategy management is a science that learn how to manage a company in a comprehensive and integrated way; it provides reasons what make some companies achieve their glorious time and some companies do not. This research aims to formulate Business Strategic Planning for Hotel Grand Keisha in order to win competition. This research employs analytical methodology of PESTLE (Politic, Economic, Social, Technology, Legal and Environment), SWOT (Strengths, Weakness, Opportunity, Threats) by using EFAS (External Factor Analysis Summary) matrix, IFAS (Internal Factor Analysis Summary) matrix, SWOT matrix, and Grand Strategy matrix. This is qualitative descriptive research. Data collection is conducted through observation, interviews, documentation, triangulation, and literature study. Quality and rating of this research is gained through Focused Group Discussion. This research shows that Hotel Grand Keisha obtains 2.56 of EFAS – 2.52 of IFAS and place Hotel Grand Keisha on Quadrant 1 with alternative strategies of market penetration, market development, and product development.Keywords: PESTLE Analysis, SWOT Analysis, SWOT Matrix, Grand Strategy Matrix

Abstract

Tourism is a large travel industry, because it involves a lot of people in the process and contributing a large mount of foreign exchange for the country. People’s decision to travel is influenced by motivation. Knowledge of regarding tourist travel motivation can assist in marketing and product planning and development. Research were related to the push motivation have been carried out in several countries, so it is necessary to do similar research to understand tourist motivation and reason why they come to visit Yogyakarta. This study is to analyse the influence of push motivation of foreign tourists’ decision to visit Yogyakarta. This research found that mostly foreign tourist who visited to Yogyakarta were female than male. They were dominated by 18-30 year old, travel as acouple, with friends and familly member. Push motivation in dimension seeking relaxation is the most significant influent of foreign tourist decision, than follow by gaining knowledge, sightseeing variety, enhancing relation, escaping daily routine and enhancing social circle.in fact fulfilling spiritual needs and fulfilling prestige doesn’t significantly influence of tourist decision to visit Yogyakarta.Keywords: Push Motivation, Foreign Tourist, Tourist Decision, Yogyakarta

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the development of agrotourism Kampoeng Kopi Banaran and to analyze employee performance in supporting the development of agritourism in Kampoeng Kopi Banaran, in Semarang Regency. In particular the goal is to find out how management efforts in developing agritourism Kampoeng Kopi Banaran, management of human resources, employee performance in supporting the development of agrotourism.The study is mixed methods using 56 respondents as samples. While data analysis in this research using multiple regression analysis using F test and t test. The results of the data analysis of socio-demographic explain that influence on the performance showed that age, gender, education, family status, employment status and work experience positively affect employee performance. While F-test states that jointly age, gender, education, family status, employment status and work experience affect the performance. t test in this research shows there is no significant influence of gender on the performance, no significant influence of the family status on the performance. The conclusions of this study are that there is a positive and significant influence of socio-demographic on emplyoee performance and there is a positive and significant influence between employee performance against agrotourism understanding in Kampoeng Kopi Banaran.Keywords: Merapi Volcano Museum, MGM, tourist perception, service quality

Abstract

Tourist satisfaction in a tourist destination can be created with an optimal service system and improving the quality of tourist destination attractiveness. In addition, it is also necessarygood skills that must be possessed by tour guides in carrying out their duties to provide good and correct information regarding tourist destinations or the surrounding area to be conveyed to tourists. This study aims to evaluate the quality of the Tour Guide in Fort Marlborough in Bengkulu city. The influence of the quality of the Tour Guide on the Fort Marlborough tourist destination in the city of Bengkulu has an impact on tourist satisfaction. The method used is a qualitative descriptive method which is carried out by means of in-depth interviews, participatory observation, documentary materials, and new methods through the study of materials on the internet. The analysis technique used is a fishbone diagram which is used in the process of identifying a problem and determining its cause. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it is found that the lack of Tour Guide is in accordance with the theory of Huang et (2015): professional competence, interpersonal skills and organization, empathy and problem solving. The advice given is that it is hoped that Tour Guides who join the MTG (Manada Tour Guide) must pay attention to the Tour Guide's knowledge of tourist objects and the skills of the Tour Guide. Developments that can be done include doing in-depth problem solving, as well as 5 other factors that must be owned by the Tour Guide to improve service quality performance, namely professionalism, competence, interpersonal skills and organization, empathy and problem solving.Keywords: Guide Effect; Tourist Satisfaction; Fort Marlborough Bengkulu

Abstract

The Climate change in world tourism can change the system of human life and its influence on nature. The development of the global digital tourism climate, selfi tourism is able to change the attitude of individual behavior in response to the demands of competitive life. The development of tourist destinations in the world, primarily from natural factors, the demands of a sharp competitive climate require tourism managers to create artificial innovations that are developed from natural potentials that are more attractive in design so that they become alternative ecotourism idols capable of boosting tourism growth that is more conducive and attractive. This research develops river ecotourism areas which are oriented to aspects of environmental development, nature preservation and local community development. This study uses qualitative research so that it can explore various aspects of the natural and humanity of the region in depth through the empirical phenomena that exist in the field. The real condition of river area which is not well managed is not in accordance with the development of Smart city, community awareness and tourism activists who are less focused. Hence, it needs community empowerment and encouraging the role of tourism activists to play more in the development of urban areas, and the use of river as ecotourism.Keywords: Ecotourism, Waterfront, Natural Resources

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the impact of the application of the concept of nomadic tourism to travel patterns and use descriptive methods with quantitative and qualitative approaches through social media-based surveys on tourist attractions in the Orchid Forest Cikole, Bandung. The pattern of traveling in this 4.0 era, for the most respondents mixed of generations Y and Z, are able to travel twice a year and prefer to travel in low sessions (71.3%). In financial planning, they do not need to save money, because with minimal funds they can take a vacation on an impromptu basis, seeing the review as their main consideration for a vacation. However, the presence of virtual reality or augmented reality facilities will have a negative impact on income for nomadic destinations / attractions. The concept of nomadic tourism, applied in the Orchid Forest Cikole attraction, Bandung has not been very effective, because most tourists who come feel more secure and comfortable using the concept of non-nomadic tourism. And in terms of digital tourism, these attractions can already be accessed through google maps and have been instagramable, as well as reviews of these attractions can already be accessed via Social Media or YouTube.Keywords: Nomadic Tourism, Industrial Revolution 4.0, Impact and Transformation

Abstract

Compared to other ASEAN countries, Thailand excels in terms of tourism growth in 2016. The period of January to October 2016, 27.076.308 Indonesian tourists visited Thailand, while Thailand’s tourists visit to Indonesia only 9.403.614. Why it happened? Whereas Indonesia including the 6 most beautiful country sites version Rough Guides, beating some countries such as the UK, Switzerland and Finland, and was chosen because of the cluster of gathering, cultural diversity, volcanoes, and even Indonesia became the only Asian country in the top 10 Tourism is worldwide. Tourism is currently experiencing a shift in the role. For many cities in Indonesia, travel has become a primary need. Motivational factors are also related to visitor’s satisfaction because different destination may have different factors that attract visitor to the place. The research method used in this study is descriptive with quantitative approach. The research instrument is questionnaire with 5-point likert scale, distributed either directly on the site with 397 respondents who have ever travelled to the locations under study. The aim of research how Indonesian tourist motivation can encourage the desire been to Bangkok Thailand The results showed that the motivation of the traveller physical, the strongest impulse to travel to Bangkok is with the aim to refreshing.Keywords: Tourism, travel motivational

Abstract

Glagah Beach is one of the most potential beaches and has the uniqueness as the charm and excellence of other southern seas. Glagah Beach located in Kulon Progo Regency is the only beach in Java that has a breakwater and has a lagoon on the edge of the sea separated by the sea so that large waves do not reach the lagoon. According to the typology of Glagah beach it self can be included in the classification of marine deposition coast. This is because the beach is formed due to the deposition deposition of river sedimentation material to the sea. This condition can be indicated by the emergence of a barrier coast emerging due to sedimentation from the river that empties into the location, then subject to marine effects that result in the formation of the lagoon. The process of sedimentation that occurs due to the flow and sedimentation of the river mouth that causes sedimentation in the coastal area. Qualitative research methods used with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, documents, and various sources of data so it can be more clearly known geographical aspects of Glagah Beach, tourism profile, tourist visit conditions, tourism potential Glagah Beach, and to know the constraints which faced Glagah Beach tourism object and how the development strategy of Glagah Beach tourist attraction area in the future. Glagah Beach is a natural attraction that has the privilege and excellence compared to other beaches in Yogyakarta that need to keep the sustainability and need to be managed more effectively by the community and the local government as a policy holder so Glagah Beach became one of the leading ecotourism object which is interesting in Kulon Progo Regency Yogyakarta.Keywords: Glagah Beach. Abstract

The bromonilan tourism village is a tourist village that carries the concept of a sustainable tourism village guided by the creation of quality tourism activities. Basically the concept of sustainability through quality tourism seeks to improve the economy and welfare of local communities in particular and tourist satisfaction in general in a sustainable manner. The purpose of this study was to find out how the development of the bromonilan tourism village towards a sustainable tourism village was and what was the right strategy to achieve quality tourism through SWOT analysis. This research was conducted in the first semester of 2021 by implementing a new habit pattern in the village. The research method used is direct observation and through interviews with tourism village managers, as well as local communities. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it can be seen that bromonilan has potential natural and human resources to be developed, such as special interest tourism vehicles through outbound and river crossings managed by experts and professionals, Joglo Parisewu as a culinary and photo centers, a unique medical tour through Fish Therapy and also the campground. Access to villages that are easily accessible and close to public facilities is also an advantage of this tourist village. The existence of this extraordinary potential must also be balanced with the participation of all parties, especially by the local community through Pokdarwis to bring up local communities who are empowered in realizing sustainable quality tourism.Keywords: Sustainable Tourism, Quality Tourism, SWOT Analysis
