Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management system of the Sikasur Savannah tourist destination with special interest. This research is a qualitative study using nonprobability sampling techniques, then the data is analyzed using SWOT. The results of this research can be obtained strategies that can be used to manage this tourist spot. The strategies obtained are: (1) Forming an organization that involves the participation of the surrounding community to be trained especially in the field of language so that they are ready to face tourists from outside the region; (2) Adding facilities that do not exist and completing facilities that are lacking so that promotional activities can run smoothly; (3) Add facilities that are felt to be lacking so that they are not left behind by similar types of tourism; (4) Conducting training for the community to later form a special organization so that they can participate in management so that their development becomes smoother; (5) Packaging Sikasur Savannah tourism objects better so that all tourists are interested in visiting.Keywords: Sikasur Savannah, Special Interest Tourism, SWOT Analysis

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development of MICE tourism and its contribution to employment absorption in the tourism sector and tourist visits in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. MICE activities (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions) held in an area may contribute to various sectors. However, the implementation of MICE activities in an area has not yet been clearly measured for its contribution to employment absorption or number of tourist visits. This research sample uses purposive sampling technique, using primary data and secondary data. Primary data in the form of in-depth interviews and questionnaires. While secondary data in the form of data on the number of MICE, labor in the tourism sector, and tourist visits in 2014 - 2018. The analytical method used in this study is quantitative and qualitative SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities, and Threat) and is supported by descriptive statistics for strengthen analysis. The results showed the development of MICE tourism in DIY over a period of 5 years (2014-2018) had increased. MICE has grown a lot in Sleman Regency and Yogyakarta City, due to the factor of accommodation facilities, location close to tourist destinations and airports. MICE has a contribution to employment absorption seen from the positive quadrant sign between strength and weakness of 144.96. In addition, MICE also contributes to tourist visits as seen from the positive quadrant sign of 119.03.Keywords: MICE, employment absorption, tourist visit.

Abstract

The National Monument is a national symbol to symbol of Jakarta Year 1953-1975. The issues presented in this report is how the historical background of the emergence of the idea or the idea of building the National Monument in Jakarta, and the realization of the construction of the National Monument as a national symbol of Indonesia in transit, and Soekarno role in the development of the National Monument. Also discussed is the view of society in defining post-construction National Monument National Monument. Using the method of writing a critical history that includes four steps namely the collection of primary and secondary sources, which consists of source criticism eksteren criticism and internal criticism that has authenticity and credible source. Interpretation of facts and events of the last re-writing of history by descriptive analysis. After National Monument formed physically, then in 1964 the Government of Andhra Pradesh to use National Monument as part of a symbol of the city. This turned out to cause a shift in the meaning of the National Monument. Society no longer interpret the National Monument as a national symbol but as a symbol of the city. Abstract

In observation of this study the authors are interested in aspects Ecotourism the Ancient Volcano of Nglanggeran, which has the potential of uniqueness nature, mysterious and beautiful landscape as well as regional partner of reservoir Nglanggeran that has appeal. Those interesting places were located at Pathuk Wonosari Gunung kidul in Yogyakarta Special Regency. When the sun set come the panorama were really beautiful and amazing views. Since 2011-up to now that places were not seriously managed by participation from the stakeholder of government and private investor, and being handled by the local community management. In some conditions facilities and security aspects was not well accomodated, for there is no safe guard or guides at the location, only by exception or upon customer request. The ancient volcano sights and Embung Nglanggeran ponds were a pair of specific attractions that have to be developed better. Mostly tourist after enjoy the panorama and hiking track to the top of ancient volcano Nglanggeran, they went to see Embung Nglanggeran ponds. Awfully there is no public transportation, and the visitors have to go by their own transportation. More over the road were badly and dangerous. The local communities and government as stakeholder have to support the area of Nglanggeran district to be more seriously, as well as the collaboration of local community and government being well organized.Keywords: Ecotourism; the Ancient Volcano of Nglanggeran

Abstract

Indonesia was shocked by the entry of the Covid-19 virus that was sweeping the world. The virus, which first occurred in the Chinese city of Wuhan, occurred in early 2020, was so massive and caused many deaths. The calamity of the entry of the Covid-19 virus also coincided with many other natural events that occurred in Indonesia. Starting from the tsunami disaster in Palu, the earthquake in Lombok, landslides and flash floods in West Java, Sumatra and not to mention DKI Jakarta, the handling to prevent the transmission of the corona virus has not been able to run optimally. However, due to the increasingly dangerous corona virus, the government finally created a Task Force for handling the Corona Virus. Destinations in Indonesia have not been spared from the Covid-19 outbreak, as well as tourism in Indonesia, which has been closed for an indefinite period of time. In fact, many tourism businesses eventually went bankrupt and went out of business. That's why this normative research was carried out by the author, to find out how the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic that occurred in Indonesia.Keywords: Covid-19, Destinations, Tourism

Abstract

This study discusses the decision of French tourists on their planned visit to Bali in the new normal era in 2021. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data was obtained by means of online interviews and questions and answers via email to 35 potential tourists. Based on the results of research that has been done, it was found that two decisions of French tourists regarding their vacation plans to Bali, namely: (1) Cancellation of tour trips with the consideration of (a) changes in tourist budgets and financial plans, (b) health reasons for tourists, (c) difficulty in managing time, and (d) the uncertainty of the global situation. (2) Delay or reschedule Tour trips. The factors that influence tourists to continue their travel agenda to Bali with a note of rescheduling, namely: (a) Advances that have been paid to travel agents, (b) the need for post-lockdown holidays during 2020, and ( c) vaccination as an effort to protect the tourists from Covid- 19. The hope is that the exposure of the research results can be a reference for researchers, tourism service business actors, and tourists to work together to implement health protocols in all tourism activities for a better Indonesian tourism.Keywords: French Tourists, Bali Tourism, New Normal

Abstract

This research aims to study the strengths and weaknesses and challenges to formulate strategies and development programs in Troso Ikat Weaving Tourism Village. This study uses a qualitative method. Data were collected by observation, in-depth interviews, documentation and distribution of questionnaires to 100 respondents, then analyzed using Strengths, Weakness, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) Analysis. Based on the SWOT Analysis, the results of the study show that the number of male visitors is 64 people or 64%. Of the many visitors, most are anticipated between 41-50 years, which is 66 people or 66%. Visitors interested from different backgrounds, but participated in the profession as an entrepreneur with a total of 54 people or 54%. From this study also obtained results consisting of alternative strategies that can be applied to develop Troso Ikat Weaving Tourism Village, namely by creating diverse and quality products, making tour packages, combining with various parties, conducting promotional strategies using print and digital media, such as websites and social media.Keywords: Tourism Development, Swot Analysis, Product Innovation, TourismPromotion

Abstract

This research is a study that took @thepotraitjogja instagram account as the research object. This research focuses on how instagram @thepotraitjogja accounts promote the city of Yogyakarta to tourism. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The results of the study it is known that instagram accounts @theportraitjogja image use a variety of language styles in their caption to influence readers' feelings. The feeling that you want to cause is a feeling of love and missing to Yogyakarta. Therefore, through the style of the language used, the instagram seeks to bring the image of a lover who is warm, charming and longed for in the city of Yogyakarta. The emotional closeness that is expected to be difficult after reaching the image is expected to strengthen the readers' desire to come to visit the city of Yogyakarta, just like coming to visit a lover. There are three styles of language used to bring up the image, among others: (1) comparative language style consisting of litotes, personification, metaphor, hypocorism, hyperbole, allegari and simile language styles, (2) affirmation language style consisting of language style repitition, parallelism and silepsis; and (3) the opposing language style consisting of the pardox language style.Keywords:Ā promotion strategy, language style, tourism destination

Abstract

Due to the growing demand of french need in tourism industry and the need for analysing the appropriate materials for Tourism Undergraduate Students in Yogyakarta, the subjective needs and objective analysis are primordial in developing french curriculum. This study is an attempt to analyze subjective and objective language learning needs for tourism undergraduate students of STIPRAM. This study was a qualitative descriptive study using questionnaire method for gathering the data needed. The questionnaire was arranged in multiple–option question pattern. The results of the data analysis revealed there are some differences concerning the theme choices, the belief about the focus of French language learning skills. But there is no difference betwee subjective and objective learning needs of students related to the reason studying french, the importance of french, the future domain of french use and the teaching approach and methode applied in the class.Keywords: Subjective needs, French Course, French for Tourism

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic changes the pattern of life in the world of tourism by promoting healthy, clean, safe living habits and protecting the environment. The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy has regulated a protocol for handling Covid-19 in tourism objects through CHSE (Cleanliness, Health, Safety and Environmental Sustainability). One of the tourism objects that have obtained the CHSE certificate is the tourist area of Dlingo sub-district, Bantul Regency. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, with data collection through observation, interviews with tourism object managers, and documentation. The data were then analyzed using Miles and Huberman which included data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the tourist areas in Dlingo District, especially the Pinus Pengger Forest, Bukit Lintang Sewu, Pinus Sari Forest, Becici Peak, and Seribu Batu Songgo Langit have implemented the protocol for handling Covid-19 tourism objects that have been announced by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy the concept of CHSE (Cleanliness, Health, Safety and Environmental Sustainability). This is shown by obtaining a CHSE certificate which proves that the tourist area is safe and worth visiting because it has implemented hygiene, health, security and environmentally friendly protocols.Keywords: CHSE; Tourism; Dlingo; Tourism Object; Covid-19
