Project-based learning is one approach used in the Independent Curriculum to increase the active involvement of early childhood children in the learning process. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of project-based learning at Pembina State Kindergarten in Seluma Regency. The method used was descriptive qualitative through observation, interviews, and documentation. The evaluation results indicate that although project-based learning has been implemented, several obstacles remain, such as uneven teacher understanding, limited facilities, and varying parental involvement. Recommendations are provided for improving teacher training, providing learning resources, and strengthening partnerships with parents.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of progressive learning to explore the abilities of 5-6-year-old children at Dharma Wanita Persatuan Kindergarten in Bengkulu Province. The research approach used was descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the application of progressive learning can holistically improve children's cognitive, language, social-emotional, motor, and creative abilities. Children are actively involved in projects, explorations, discussions, and collaborative activities, enabling them to think critically and creatively, collaborate, express ideas, and develop gross and fine motor skills. The application of this method creates a participatory, contextual, and enjoyable learning environment, thus increasing children's motivation and active participation in the learning process. The research findings confirm that progressive learning plays a significant role in developing children's potential in a balanced and relevant way to meet the demands of 21st-century education.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of teachers in managing entrepreneurship-based project learning at Baitul Izzah Kindergarten (TKIT) in Bengkulu City, including the strategies implemented, the challenges faced, and their impact on the development of children's creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that teachers implemented project learning management through the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages, taking into account success indicators, namely creativity, cooperation, independence, problem-solving, responsibility, and understanding of entrepreneurial concepts. The strategies implemented by teachers included dividing students into small groups, using simple media, intensive mentoring, and adjusting activity schedules to address challenges such as limited resources, time, and differences in children's abilities. The implementation of entrepreneurship-based project learning had a positive impact on the development of children's entrepreneurial skills, enhancing creativity, critical thinking, cooperation, independence, and responsibility. This study confirms that the active role of teachers is crucial to the success of project learning and the development of children's entrepreneurial spirit from an early age.
