Abstract

This study aims to obtain an overview of the extent of the Relationship Between Muscle Explosive Power and Agility to the Ability of the Sickle Kick in Pencak Silat Athletes of Sekolah Wahana Mitra Bengkulu City In accordance with the problems and objectives of the study, this study uses a Quantitative Research method, namely to analyze the relationship between variables using objective theory by applying it through the correlation method. With a population of 38 pencak silat athletes at Sekolah Wahana Mitra Bengkulu City, the research sample was 22 people with a Purposive Sampling sampling technique. The research instruments used in this study were tests and measurements. Data analysis techniques used product moment correlation techniques and Pearson tests with a significance level of 5% and normality tests. Based on the results of field research and the results of data analysis carried out, the results of the muscle explosive power test (vertical jump) showed no significant relationship between the variable of leg explosive power and the ability of the sickle kick. While the results of the agility test (shtulle-run) there was a significant relationship between the variable of agility and the ability of the sickle kick. However, there is a relationship between the variables of leg explosive power and agility to the ability of the sickle kick with a moderate correlation category. It can be concluded that there is a relationship between muscle explosive power and agility to the ability of the sickle kick in pencak silat athletes at Perguruan Wahana Mitra Kota Bengkulu.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent of the effect of variation training on improving underhand passing skills among volleyball extracurricular students at SMPN 5 Seluma. This research is an experimental study, using a pre-experimental design, which is a development method of the one-group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study consisted of 22 students from SMPN 5 Seluma Regency. This can be seen from the average improvement in underhand passing skills over ten training sessions, measured through pre-test and post-test data. The pre-test results showed the highest score of 13, the lowest score of 7, and an average of 9.81. The post-test results showed the highest score of 18, the lowest score of 12, and an average of 14.95. The initial test average of 9.81 increased to 14.95 in the final test. The t-test results indicate a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores, where the tvalue (28.90) is greater than the ttable value (2.195), confirming that the research hypothesis is accepted. This is further supported by a correlation value of 0.729, indicating a fairly strong and positive relationship between pre-test and post-test results. It can be concluded that the variation training method positively contributes to improving underhand passing skills in volleyball among students at SMPN 5 Seluma Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of game training methods on improving underhand passing in volleyball athletes of PST Bengkulu. This study uses a quantitative approach with an experimental design to measure the effect of game training on improving underhand passing skills of PST Bengkulu athletes. The subjects of the study consisted of 32 athletes who were divided into two groups. the experimental group that followed the drill training program and the control group that did not receive any special intervention. analysis of the initial test data (pre-test) of the game training method training group with a sample size of 32 obtained the highest score of 53, the lowest score of 41, an average of 46.96, a median of 47. the final test (post-test) of the underhand passing drill training group obtained the highest score of 59, the lowest score of 45, an average of 51.81, a median of 51.50, a standard deviation of 3.93. The results of the paired t-test showed a greater t-count value (10.14) compared to the t-table value (2.145), which indicated that the research hypothesis was acceptable. It can be concluded that the game training method has a significant influence on improving the underhand passing skills in volleyball of PST Bengkulu athletes.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the construction of phrases in the novel Santri Pilihan Bunda by Salsyabila Falensia. The purpose of this research, namely: to analyze what types of phrases are most widely used in the novel Santri Pilihan Bunda Karya Salsyabila Falensia and describe the phrase construction in the novel Santri Pilihan Bunda Karya Salsyabila Falensia. The benefits of the research are divided into two, namely practical benefits: providing insight into the construction of phrases in literature, and theoretical benefits: for the author, the results of this research can be utilized as answers to the problems formulated. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The data in this research are quotes containing nominal, verbal, and adjectival phrases contained in the novel Santri Pilihan Bunda by Salsyabila Falensia. The data collection technique of this research is literature study technique. The data analysis technique uses a structural approach. The results of this study are found 760 phrases in the novel Santri Pilihan Bunda Karya Salsyabila Falensia consisting of 418 nominal phrase data, 264 verbal phrase data, and 78 adjectival phrase data. Based on the results of the phrase findings, there is data on the construction of coordinative nominal phrases: 14 data and subordinate nominal phrases structured: N+N 153 data, N+V 52 data, N+A 29 data, Adv+N 38 data, N+Adv 4 data, Num+N 47 data, N+Num 9 data, and N+Dem 72 data. Coordinative verbal phrases: 6 data and subordinative verbal phrases with the structure: Adv+V 94 data, V+Adv 17 data, V+N 108 data, and V+A 39 data. Coordinative adjectival phrases: 2 data and subordinative adjectival phrases: structured A+N 2 data, A+A 18 data, A+V not found, Adv+A 53 data, and A+Adv 3 data.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the types of clauses, the structure of the clause and the function of the clause in the novel of Marveluna Lets Fly Together by Ita Krn. This study used qualitative descriptive method. The data collection technique of this study was documentation technique. The data in this study were sentences containing the types, structures and functions of clauses in the novel Marveluna Lets Fly Together by Ita Krn. The results of this study show that there are 727 data, 642 verbal clauses, 15 nominal clauses, 57 adjective clauses, 4 prepositional clauses and 9 numeral clauses. The types of verbal clauses consist of 396 data incomplete targeted action verbal clauses, 22 data complete targeted action verbal clauses, 196 data non-targeted action verbal clauses and 25 data situation clauses, the verbal clauses that were not found were event verbal clauses. The noun clause consists of a clause that states the type of noun 5 data, states the name of the noun 6 data, states the relationship of 2 data, and states the characteristics or special characteristics of 2 data. The noun clause of the profession is not found. The adjective clause consists of 17 data physical states, 5 data mental attitudes and 34 data internal feelings. The clause structure of this study is S+P, S+P+O, S+P+O+Pel, S+P+O+K and S+P+K. Function. The clauses of this study consist of the function of S as the actor of the activity, the function of P as a verb, O as something that is done or is the target of the subject, K as additional information and Pel as perfecting the predicate but not subject to the subject's actions.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of Multigrade Learning (PKR) at SDN 2 Sumber Harta, focusing on planning readiness, teaching method variation, classroom management, and learning evaluation. It addresses a research gap concerning the implementation of PKR in elementary schools with 221 class models in remote areas, which has been scarcely studied. The study aims to understand teachers’ challenges and strategies in conducting PKR to improve learning quality. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, using interviews, observations, and documentation for data collection. Findings reveal that teachers face limitations in preparing lesson plans and teaching modules, limited variation in teaching methods, and ineffective classroom management. Learning evaluations rely mainly on simple written tests and limited use of student worksheets. Theoretical implications reinforce multigrade learning concepts emphasizing thorough planning and adaptive classroom management, while practical implications highlight the need for teacher training and improved facilities. The study concludes that enhancing teacher capacity and providing adequate learning media are crucial for successful PKR implementation. It recommends increased training and resource support to improve multigrade learning quality in remote areas.

Abstract

Educational infrastructure functions as a pivotal catalyst underpinning the pedagogical dynamic within schools. The sufficiency of such resources not only amplifies learner engagement and comprehension but also elevates the holistic quality of education. This investigation seeks to elucidate how deficiencies in learning amenities influence academic achievement at SMP Negeri 5 Katingan Tengah, an institution currently grappling with inadequate computer labs, scientific apparatus, sports equipment, and internet access. Consequently, students confront challenges in grasping subject matter, relying predominantly on textual content and oral instruction absent of enriching visual aids or hands-on practicum. Employing a descriptive qualitative framework through observations and student interviews, findings reveal that tangible, interactive educational media substantively enhance material comprehension and stimulate active learner participation. Accordingly, the provision of comprehensive educational facilities emerges as indispensable for fostering effective and high-caliber learning environments. It is imperative that local authorities prioritize the augmentation of school infrastructure, particularly in under-resourced institutions such as SMP Negeri 5 Katingan Tengah.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of project-based learning (PBL) on students' interest in learning science subjects at SMP Negeri 5 Katingan Tengah. The background of this study is based on the importance of developing contextual and innovative learning in accordance with the Merdeka Curriculum, which emphasizes student-centered learning through a project-based approach. The research method used is a qualitative approach with descriptive techniques. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation, with the research subjects consisting of the school principal, science teachers, and 18 ninth-grade students. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of PBL has a positive impact on increasing students' interest in learning because the material taught is easier and quicker to understand. Students also become more active, creative, and engaged in the learning process. Additionally, PJBL encourages teachers to continue innovating in designing learning that is relevant to daily life. PJBL also enhances students' critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and responsibility skills when working in groups.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of using Geogebra in improving students’ understanding of relations and functions as well as their learning activities, while also describing the implementation process and obstacles experienced by students during the learning. This learning was designed with a Deep Learning approach contained in Geogebra-based student worksheet (LKPD). This study uses a mixed-methods approach with a sequential explanatory design. The research subject consisted of 25 eight-grade students at Bethel Palangka Raya Junior High School. Quantitative data were collected through pretest, posttest, and questionnaires, while qualitative data were obtained through interviews and students’ work on the worksheets (LKPD). The result showed a significant increase in the N-Gain score of 0,47 (medium category). Statistical tests also showed significant difference in understanding before and after using Geogebra (sig. = 0.008). The results of the positive response were also obtained through questionnaires and interview with three students.

Abstract

This research analyze the forms of Intersectional discrimination experienced by the main character in the movie “Self-Made” inspired by the life Madam CJ Walker. Using Kimberle Crenshaw’s theory of intersectionality, this research show how discrimination based on race, gender, social class and sexuality interact and influence the main character’s experience. It is a qualitative study using the observation method. The results explore the moral messages that can be drawn from Madam C.J Walker’s struggle, highlighting the importance of resilience, solidarity between women and rejection of discriminatory beauty standards. This research is expected to raise awareness about discrimination issues and support the strengthening of women’s position, especially among minority communities.
