Abstract

This research aims to improve the writing ability of text descriptions through learning by using the mind and map method in 25 students of the VII-F MTs Negeri 4 Bantul Semester in the year of the 2019/2020 course. The study uses class action methods, consisting of two cycles covering the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data collection techniques using writing tests, observations, field records and photo documentation. The results showed that learning with the mind map method can improve the activity and skills of students writing the description text, both in terms of process and product. It is demonstrated by the enhancement of students in intensified student interest, kekondusifan the photo observation process to create mind map, student intensified in doing independent task, kekondusifan students when a student is presenting, and kekondusifan students during reflection activities. Quality improvement of the process positively impacts the product quality improvement. It is seen in the test results writing the description text from the pre-action stage until cycle 2 increased by a pre-action of 52%, I cycle 76%, and cycle II 96%. The mind map method is one of the learning method of writing that is able to improve the activity and skills of the student writing the description text.

Abstract

This research aims to obtain empirical descriptions and evaluate the implementation of boarding school program at MAN 1 Gunungkidul. This research is an evaluation study that uses a qualitative approach. The evaluation model used is a formative evaluation model developed by Scriven. In this study, evaluation criteria were set before data collection, which was developed through library review and based on the guidelines for organizing boarding school program compiled by the Management Team of Boarding School MAN 1 Gunungkidul. The data analysis techniques used are qualitative analysis techniques according to Miles and Huberman that include four main activities, namely: data collection, data presentation, data reduction and conclusion drawing. The results showed: (1) The selection system of boarding school program participants is carried out objectively and transparently using the procedures specified by madrasa, (2) Funding for boarding school program is largely the responsibility of the committee and zakat funds, only a small portion of which is a burden on parents of the parents of the student guardians, (3) Dormitory facilities are still not ideal, need to be built adequate dormitories to maintain the boarding school program, and (4) The learning achievement of boarding school students in both academic, religious and non-academic fields is still lacking.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the motivation of learning Islamic Religious Education subjects which refers to the application of problem-based learning models. This study uses a class action research method consisting of two cycles, including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection activities. The subject of the study was grade XI mipa-1 students of SMA Negeri 1 Mlati Year 2019/2020. Data on the implementation of the learning process by teachers is carried out through the observation sheet of the learning process, the data of the student's response process is carried out through the student's response questionnaire sheet, the student's learning motivation data is carried out through the student's motivational motivational observation sheet, while the data on changes in student learning motivation behavior is implemented through a questionnaire of changes in the motivational behavior of learning. The results showed that in cycle I, the implementation of the learning process, the student's response to the learning process, the motivation of the student's learning, and the changes in the motivation of the student's learning are in the category has not been successful. While in cycle II, the activity is in the category of success.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role of content mastery services in helping students determine their secondary school. An approach to counseling guidance services in this case is necessary to assist students in determining and planning for the future. This research uses a method of action. The subject of the study was grade IX-B students at MTs Negeri 7 Gunungkidul. The results showed an increase in students in establishing advanced school choice in cycle I by 77.6% increasing to 89.4% chest cycle II. The results of the content mastery service approach in two cycles successfully assisted students in establishing advanced school choice in MTs Negeri 7 Gunungkidul.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic affects all areas of life, including education. The Covid-19 pandemic prompted the government to issue a distance learning policy. Online learning is one of solution to solve this problem. The objectives of this study were: (1) to compare the differences in science learning outcomes between offline learning and online learning, and (2) to determine the effectiveness of online science learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research is a quasi-experimental study using the comparative method. Science learning outcomes before the Covid-19 pandemic (offline) were compared with science learning outcomes during the Covid-19 pandemic (online). The findings of this research were (1) there were differences in students 'science learning outcomes in offline learning with students' science learning outcomes in online learning, and (2) offline science learning was more effective than online science learning.

Abstract

Islamic education aims to realize muslim people who believe, are godfearing, and knowledgeable who are able to devote themselves to God with an attitude and a complete personality submit themselves in all aspects of life in order to seek the pleasure of God. These objectives can be achieved through students' understanding of PAI materials. Optimizing the preparation of learning models is one of the main factors that can help improve learning outcomes. Thus, to improve the learning outcomes of PAI subjects among students, the innovation of learning models in schools needs to pay attention to the characteristics and needs of students according to the related materials. A systematic and interesting learning model is one of the things that can support the achievement of expected competencies. Synectic learning model becomes one of the strategies that can improve pai learning results. The rationale of this model is that metaphorical activities that include personal analogies, direct analogies, and compacted conflicts can help students understand abstract concepts of PAI material, especially about beliefs.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the application of drill learning methods in improving the ability to memorize prayer readings in grade V students at Elementary School Tancep 1 Ngawen. This research uses action research methods with qualitative data analysis. The results of this study showed improved ability to memorize prayer readings in each cycle. The average class increase of 14.09, from a grade average of 75.13 in cycle I increased to 85.38 in cycle II. The success percentage reached 52%, from 48% in cycle I increased to 100% in cycle II. The ability to memorize mandatory prayer readings in students of Tancep 1 Ngawen State Elementary School will show better results if the application of drill methods at the beginning of Islamic studies involves more students, and teachers only as facilitators.

Abstract

The objective of the article is to describe the implementation of character education through school culture, which was exemplified at SD Muhammadiyah Wirobrajan 3 Yogyakarta. The implementation of integrated character education in school culture is one of the alternatives to prevent deviant actions taken by the nation's children today. The method used in this research is descriptive analytic with a qualitative approach. The results showed that the character culture process could be integrated into various elements including; vision and mission of the school, professional leadership management, personnel commitment, utilizing teacher competence, cultivating positive attitudes, exemplary school members, adequate infrastructure, cultivating positive interactions, and building a comfortable atmosphere, and by maximizing school management patterns. Abstract

This research aims to find out the ability of teachers to process the value of students' learning results using microsoft excel. Microsoft excel implementation activities are conducted through group supervision in the form of training and mentoring. This research uses a method of action research and is carried out in two cycles. The results showed that training and mentoring activities can improve teachers' ability to operate Microsoft Excel. In cycle I, of the 18 teachers, 83.33% had poor criteria, 11.11% had enough criteria, and 5.56% had a good criteria with an average score of 62.35 in cycle I increasing to 83.70 in cycle II. Group supervision activities through training and mentoring can improve the ability of MI teachers in processing the value of learning results using Microsoft excel.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of professional method in improving students ' competency in reading Arabic text in class VII-A students at MTs Negeri 8 Karangmojo, in the even semester, school year 2018/2019. The study uses action research methods in two cycles. The results showed increased student reading competence gained through several activities, namely: 1) demonstrating reading, saying letters, words (Mufrodaat), sentences, and phrases aloud and repeatedly; 2) Habituation of reading Al-Quran (Tadarus) with teacher monitoring; and 3) memorization deposits. The ability to read students on Arabic text increases on each cycle with an average of 28 percent of the 26 students; 53.85% in good criteria, 38.46% in very good criteria, and 7.69% in less good criteria. Qiraah method can improve the students ' ability to read Arabic text.
