Abstract

ABSTRACT (Inggris) This research discusses the importance of developing multicultural and pluralistic curricula in Islamic religious education to address challenges in today's ethnically, culturally, and religiously diverse society. Using a qualitative methodology with a literature-based approach, the study emphasizes education's vital role in character formation, particularly in building tolerance and coexistence among different religious adherents. The study notes a shift from a one-size-fits-all religious education approach toward an inclusive curriculum that incorporates different religious education curriculum models, fostering mutual respect among students of different faiths. This transition suggests several curriculum reform strategies: how educators, curriculum developers, and stakeholders can collaborate to design an environment that values diversity and enables positive engagement among students from various backgrounds. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of religious tourism visits to the graves of Islamic figures in Aceh, particularly in Peureulak, on students' understanding of the history of Islamic education. The method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and questionnaires filled out by students after the visit. The results indicate that this visit significantly enhances students' interest in learning and their understanding of the history of Islamic education. Students reported profound spiritual and educational experiences, contributing to their awareness of the importance of Islamic education history within the cultural context of Aceh. Direct interaction with historical sites provides new perspectives, strengthening the connection between the theories learned in class and real-life practices. This research concludes that religious tourism can be an effective method for improving students' understanding of the history of Islamic education. It is hoped that these findings will encourage the integration of religious tourism experiences into the educational curriculum, enriching the learning process and inspiring the development of similar programs in other educational institutions to enhance the quality of education based on local cultural contexts.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to explore the integration of Islamic education management with digital technology to enhance the quality of Islamic educational institutions. The issue raised in this research is the challenge of implementing technology in Islamic educational institutions, particularly in improving teaching and institutional quality, while maintaining a balance between Islamic principles and technological advancement. The method used in this study is a literature review and content analysis with a descriptive qualitative approach. The results of the study indicate that the integration of digital technology can enrich academic, moral, and spiritual aspects of Islamic education. However, challenges such as low digital literacy and infrastructure disparities still hinder the optimal implementation of technology. This research also highlights the importance of visionary leadership in managing technology and human resources in Islamic educational institutions. Overall, this study contributes to the development of technology-based learning strategies that remain grounded in Islamic values to create a modern, intelligent, and character-driven generation.

Abstract

Tata busana guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) merupakan salah satu aspek penting dalam pendidikan karakter islami di sekolah. Tata busana yang mencerminkan nilai-nilai keislaman diyakini dapat memberikan pengaruh positif dalam membentuk karakter siswa yang islami. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh tata busana guru PAI dalam membentuk karakter siswa yang islami di MTsN Pidie Jaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis secara deskriptif untuk menggambarkan dan memahami keterkaitan antara tata busana guru PAI dan pembentukan karakter islami siswa. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tata busana guru PAI yang sesuai dengan nilai-nilai syariat Islam menjadi teladan konkret bagi siswa. Hal tersebut turut memperkuat pemahaman dan kesadaran siswa dalam menerapkan nilai-nilai islami dalam kehidupan sehari-hari serta membentuk karakter yang religius dan berakhlak mulia. Tata busana guru PAI di MTsN Pidie Jaya memiliki peran signifikan sebagai media pendidikan nonverbal dalam membentuk karakter islami siswa, sehingga perlu mendapat perhatian khusus dalam upaya pengembangan pendidikan karakter berbasis agama Islam.

Abstract

The development of Islamic religious education faces increasingly complex challenges due to social change, technological advancement, and globalization. Dayah, as a traditional Islamic educational institution, holds a strategic role in preparing students to compete in an increasingly competitive educational environment. This study aims to examine the role of dayah in shaping students’ academic foundations, enhancing their competitiveness, and identifying the challenges and solutions encountered in equipping students for the religious education sector. The research employs a qualitative field study approach, utilizing in-depth interviews with dayah administrators, students, and community leaders. Thematic analysis was conducted to explore the role of dayah in knowledge formation, learning strategies, and responses to various obstacles. The findings reveal that dayah plays a crucial role in building students’ foundational knowledge through mastery of classical texts and traditional learning methods such as sorogan and halaqah. Strategies to improve competitiveness include integrating religious and general sciences into the curriculum, character development, and the use of information technology. Despite these efforts, challenges such as limited technological infrastructure, outdated curricula, and negative perceptions of traditional religious education persist. Solutions involve curriculum adaptation, improved technological access, soft skills training, and community support. Thus, dayah serves as an agent of change capable of producing graduates who are not only religiously grounded but also competitive in the global landscape of religious education.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education is an important component in the formation of character and morals of students in higher education. However, students' understanding of the concept of Islamic religious education still faces various obstacles influenced by the learning methods applied. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of learning methods and their impact on students' understanding of the concept of Islamic Religious Education. The research method uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews with a number of students taking the Islamic Religious Education course. Data analysis was carried out thematically to identify obstacles and the effectiveness of the learning methods used. The results of the study showed variations in students' understanding influenced by the type of learning method, where interactive methods such as group discussions and project-based learning were more effective in increasing understanding than traditional lecture methods. The obstacles encountered included social environmental pressure, lack of practical understanding, limited time management, and the influence of a modern lifestyle that did not support the practice of religious values. The role of lecturers as facilitators and role models is very influential in increasing students' motivation to learn and practice religious values. Therefore, the implementation of varied and contextual learning methods is very important in helping students understand and internalize the concept of Islamic Religious Education. This study emphasizes the need for the development of innovative learning methods and the provision of conducive learning environment support to improve the effectiveness of religious education in higher education.

Abstract

This study aims to implement peace education in instilling tolerance and empathy values ??in Elementary Schools. This study uses a participatory and reflective School Action Research (PTS) approach. The subjects of this study were fifth grade students of Cot Keh Peureulak Elementary School, East Aceh. The sample was selected based on considerations of the need for the implementation of peace education at the grade level that is appropriate to the level of children's social and emotional development. Based on the results of the school action research conducted in two cycles, it can be concluded that peace education is effective in fostering tolerance and empathy values ??in students at Cot Keh Peureulak Elementary School, East Aceh. The learning process designed in a participatory, reflective, and contextual manner is able to create a classroom atmosphere that supports peaceful behavior and mutual respect. In cycle I, students showed low tolerance and empathy attitudes (65% and 62% respectively), while in cycle II, the score increased to 84% for tolerance and 81% for empathy. This proves that the peace education approach that is implemented in a planned and gradual manner can have a real impact on changing students' social attitudes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine one of the important foundations of the independent curriculum, namely how ethics are integrated into the independent curriculum policy and to find out the supporting and inhibiting factors along with problem solutions. The method used is a qualitative approach and the type of research emphasized is literature study. Through the post-positivism paradigm which provides data interpretation based on facts sourced from scientific journals and books associated with ethical theory. The results and discussion show that the integration of ethics is urgent to be applied to independent curriculum learning at elementary, secondary, and higher education levels by looking at the characteristics of each student. Findings of internal supporting factors were obtained, namely (a) Support from leaders; (b) Commitment of students, students, teachers, and lecturers; (c) Positive orientation of education policy makers. External supporting factors include: (a) Collaboration between parents and the community; and (b) Development of the times. In addition, internal inhibiting factors were found: (a) Limited facilities and infrastructure; and (b) Lack of teacher and lecturer training, while the external factors were: (a) Existence of SARA conflicts; and (b) The influence of media and technology.
