Abstract

With the development of nursing science and practice, it is important for nurses to make efforts to control TB, one of the nursing interventions that can be developed in a family-centred TB control programme is counselling and education. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of counselling and education in improving TB treatment adherence in the Puskesmas Ciamis working area. This study is a quantitative study with Quasy experimental design with non-randomised control group design. The population of this study were all TB patients in Puskesmas Ciamis Working Area, a total of 28 patients divided into intervention and control groups. This research was conducted from August 2023 to January 2024. The research instruments used were questionnaires which has been tested for validity and reliability and observation sheets. Data analysis was performed using univariate and bivariate techniques with paired t-test and independent t-test. The results showed that there was an increase in medication adherence before and after the provision of counselling and education in the intervention and control groups. The intervention group experienced a more significant increase in medication adherence p-value 0.027 < 0.05 compared to the control group p-value 0.030 < 0.05, while the comparison of the increase in the intervention and control groups showed a p-value of 0.021 < 0.05. Conclusions: There is a significant effect of the application of counselling and education to improve compliance with the COVID-19 pandemic.

The population in this study amounted to 158 active members of the humanitarian student activity unit and the sample was taken using convenience sampling type (n = 120). Data were collected using a questionnaire containing 30 questions that have been declared valid and reliable with a Cronbach's alpha value of 0.797 and data were analysed using computer software with univariate analysis techniques. The results showed that the level of knowledge of humanitarian UKM members at Unpad regarding basic life support was classified into the good category with a total of 108 respondents (90%). The conclusion in this study is that the level of knowledge of basic life support in members of humanitarian UKM at Universitas Padjadjaran is in the good category, but it is necessary to increase knowledge, especially on procedural topics related to basic life support.

Abstract

High risk pregnancy is a risky pregnancy condition that can cause disorders, disease, and even death in the mother and fetus during pregnancy. Integrated antenatal care education is carried out as an effort to provide information and increase knowledge to pregnant women regarding high-risk pregnancies. This study aims to determine the relationship between level of education and level of knowledge regarding high-risk pregnancies in integrated antenatal care carried out during the Month of Service Program at RSIA Ananda Semarang. This study used a pre-experimental design, One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design, then a correlation test was carried out using the Kendall's Tau statistical test to assess the relationship between the research subjects' educational level variables and their level of knowledge. This study is processed using spearment test rank of SPSS. There were 30 participants who met the criteria. The type of data collected is primary data from questionnaire. This questionnaire is a standard questionnaire adopted from Titi Yulianti's research (2020). Research time is from July - August 2022.: In this study, it was found that the majority of subjects were aged between 21-30 years, namely 23 subjects (77%), the majority had normoweight nutritional status, namely 11 subjects (37%). Most parity status was primipara, 16 subjects (53%). The majority of subjects' education level was high school, namely 13 subjects (43%). The average output result obtained from the N-Gain Score analysis is 63.61% which is included in the quite effective category. There is a significant relationship (p=0.000) between the level of education and the level of knowledge regarding high-risk pregnancies. The majority of counseling participants were in the 21-30 year age group, with normoweight, primiparous nutritional status, and high school education level. Integrated antenatal care education is quite effective in increasing pregnant women's knowledge regarding high-risk pregnancies and the level of education has a significant relationship with the level of knowledge the subject has regarding high-risk pregnancies.

Abstract

Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are conditions that lower productivity, cause discomfort in the form of decreased range of motion or chronic pain and impair function. These can be made worse by the workplace and its surroundings, and they impact the muscles, bones, nerves, tendons, ligaments, joints, cartilage, and intervertebral discs. Exercise therapy is one non-pharmacological intervention that might be helpful in reducing pain complaints related to MSDs. This study aimed to review the literature regarding the efficacy of exercise therapy in mitigating pain associated with musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) in cleaning workers. A systematic review was the methodology employed. Searches for articles published between 2013 and 2023 were conducted using Google Scholar, PubMed, ProQuest, and Science Direct. Using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) approach, the search strategy was conducted. Five of the articles were eligible for inclusion. Four studies employed a quasi-experimental design, and one study used an RCT design. Exercise therapy, which includes aerobic, motor control, functional, ergonomic, and foam roller exercises, was found to be beneficial in lowering musculoskeletal pain in cleaning workers across all studies. This evidence suggests that exercise therapy can be used as a nursing intervention to reduce musculoskeletal pain in cleaning workers.
