Jurnal Shanan bertujuan untuk menerbitkan hasil penelitian dosen-dosen dan para alumni Prodi Magister Pendidikan Agama Kristen serta para pendidik agama di luar UKI. Jurnal Shanan pertama kali diterbitkan pada bulan Maret 2017 melalui penerbit UKI Press dengan nomor ISSN 2549-8061. Jurnal ini dikelola oleh Program Studi Magister Pendidikan Agama Kristen UKI yang dimaksudkan untuk mempublikasikan karya-karya penelitian dosen, alumni, dan para pendidik agama Kristen di luar UKI. Jurnal ini memuat artikel-artikel penelitian yang berfokus pada pengembangan ilmu dan praktik pendidikan agama Kristen di lingkup gereja, keluarga, dan sekolah. Jurnal Shanan ditebitkan secara berkala dua kali dalam setahun, yaitu Maret dan Oktober. Fokus jurnal Shanan adalah Pendidikan Agama Kristen sedangkan cakupannya adalah Desain Program, Strategi Pembelajaran dan Kurikulum, Sejarah dan Filsafat, Teologi, Metodologi Pendidikan, Pendidikan dalam Masyarakat Majemuk, Evaluasi Pendidikan, Psikologi Pendidikan, Etika Profesi Guru, yang semuanya terkait dengan Pendidikan Agama Kristen.

Abstract

In this article, the author doing a study about the role of christian education in the church in dealing with the psychological conditions of the congregation due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The background for writing this article departs from the information data of printed media, online media which suggests psychological conditions such as stress, excessive pressure and anxiety that arise due to the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak in humans. This article examines the Christian faith in Christian education in the church forum, which plays an important role in dealing with the psychological conditions experienced by the congregation. This article analyzes Christian faith in Christian education in the church forum, analyzes the psychological conditions caused by Covid-19. The purpose of this paper is to provide an understanding of Christian faith which is useful for strengthening the human soul when the person experiences pressure, stress, anxiety, and so on. The method that I use in this article is a qualitative research method. The analytical process used by the author is by analyzing the Bible as the main source and various actual and reliable sources of literature related to the title in this article in order to produce an accountable study.

Abstract

Education aims to shape human beings to grow in a better direction, in accordance with what is expected in social life. That is why educational institutions design curricula necessary for this purpose. However, in its development, a big challenge arises behind the good goals that were originally expected, namely from the ideology of humanism which makes humans become autonomous with all their abilities and advantages, so that humans no longer need God in all aspects of their life. This fact is a big challenge for Christian education which leads to the truth of God, so it is very necessary to be addressed. From these problems, the authors conducted research with a literature analysis approach. There are two dangers of humanism for Christian religious education. First, humans become the main center of education so that humans leave the importance of spiritual life and knowledge of God; Second, the misconception about sin, where sin is seen not as a big problem that needs to be resolved. In the midst of these challenges, Christianity must be critical of the curricula in force so as to maintain efforts to internalize Christian values ​​through education.

Abstract

Today's learning has used a student-centered learning model. In this learning, the teacher uses various learning methods which are certainly more interesting and involve students directly. This learning system is in accordance with the education standards and curriculum in 2013. Although the 2013 curriculum has implemented student-centered learning, until now there are still teachers including Christian religious education teachers who still use conventional methods (lectures) which cause the learning process is less interesting and tedious. Therefore, a breakthrough is needed that can improve Christian religious education learning in schools. Thus, the purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of problem solving methods in improving the learning process of Christian religious education in schools. The method used in this research is literature study with literature review using books, journals, dictionaries, and other sources to describe the implementation of problem solving methods in Christian religious education learning. The result of this research is that the implementation of problem solving methods can improve Christian religious education learning in schools because students are actively involved in the learning process.

Abstract

The formation of patriotism in early childhood is very important because this will seriously impact on the welfare, prosperity and progress of family, society, and the nation in the future. In particular, this is a concern for Christian parents in responding to social situations at present, which are marked by the development of unpatriotic attitudes and actions, such as corruption, acts of violence, bullying, hate speech, intolerance, terrorism, efforts to disrupt the unity of the state, abuse of technology, laziness, individualism, lack of respect for the culture and production of his/her own country, and so on. The Indonesian government is also preparing the strong generation to welcome the demographic bonus between 2010-2035. In supporting the government, Christian parents must realize their role in educating their children to have patriotism from an early age. Therefore, this study aims to describe how Christian patriotism is taught to early childhood through Christian religious education in family. The method used is a qualitative research method with the literature review approach. The result of this research is that parents build early childhood patriotism based on Christian values, namely by having an understanding of the theological foundation of patriotism; early childhood development, and the formation of patriotism by setting learning objectives, learning materials and learning methods adapted to early childhood development and Christian values.

Abstract

This study departs from problems that often occur in the industrial era 4.0, where the behavior of young people today causes many negative symptoms in social life in society. One of the characteristics of the younger generation that can be seen in the industrial era 4.0 is the lack of a sense of concern and tends to be individual and live in carelessness that always opposes the values ​​of truth and prevailing culture. The purpose of writing this article is to see how the efforts made by Christian religious teachers in shaping the character of the younger generation in accordance with Christian values. The method used is a qualitative method by examining the extent of the problems caused by the character of the younger generation in the industrial era 4.0. The analysis process is carried out using various sources of literature, both articles, books, interviews and direct observations to support the author's analysis. The results found are significant about the role of Christian teachers supported by various strategies in shaping the character of the younger generation in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. Thus, the responsibility of Christian Religion teachers in educating generations really needs to be realized as a form of concern for the phenomena that exist among young people as explained in this article.

Abstract

The online learning system requires parents to accompany their children more in learning. However, many parents still feel overwhelmed to explain the tasks given by the teacher online. Parents feel overwhelmed because they have to accompany their children and explain the tasks given by the teacher. Because not all parents are able to explain the task well so they are angry with their children. The goal of this study is to describe parental help during the COVID-19 epidemic. The author uses the Oebobo II Elementary School as an example. This research employs a qualitative descriptive-analytic technique. Decomposition of data obtained from informants in accordance with research questions. The study results found that learning facilities and infrastructure became primary sources in the learning process. The form of parental assistance provides learning facilities in laptops, internet quotas, and comfortable study rooms. So there is monitoring and control to help children who have learning difficulties. Smooth communication between teachers and parents is the leading way in a good learning process.

Abstract

Indonesia has experienced religious conflicts and brought about alarming humanitarian impacts. The horizontal conflict has pushed into the joints of destroying the pillars of the nation's integrity. Moreover, conflict destroys harmony, therefore the author's aim was to describe pluralism through the perspective of Christian religious education as an effort to bring generations to continue to build the nation and maintain its integrity. The writing of this article used a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study approach related to the sociology of religious pluralism in the perspective of Christian religious education as an effort to build national unity. The findings of this study are firstly the sociology of pluralism starting from recognizing and understanding the nature of pluralism and understanding all the values ​​of pluralism. Second, all believers, especially teachers and students, see and understand that pluralism in the concept of Christian Religious Education is not contradictory to what is done by people and organizations that promote pluralism, but it needs to be emphasized that pluralism in agreement is only to maintain and build the integrity of the nation. Third, on this basis, Christianity, in this case the role of Christian religious education, must be actualized in social life in pluralism.

Abstract

Youth is the next generation of the nation and the church. However, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, young people did not escape the impact caused by this Covid-19. Some youths experience stress in attending online schools/lectures, stress due to losing their jobs due to termination of employment by the company where they work, bored because they spend more time at home and rarely meet their peers, rarely meet community members church, even they are forced to only worship from home. Not a few youths have experienced a decline in spirituality during this pandemic. The church as a community of believers must be present and answer the needs of the youth who are experiencing the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. In the midst of limitations during this pandemic, churches can attend and maximize service to youth through program designs that can answer their needs. Of course the church can take advantage of the technology that is currently developing so that services to youth, both during the pandemic and post-pandemic, continue to run. Therefore, through this article the author offers a design of a Christian religious education program for youth, in which youth can praise God together, share testimony and pray together. To answer the youth problems mentioned above, in writing this article the author uses qualitative research methods, namely comparing various literatures, be it books, articles, or journals related to the above discussion. The purpose of this paper is to offer a design of Christian religious education programs for youth during the Pandemic and Post-Pandemic. This program is expected to answer the needs of the youth as well as equip them through the light of God's word so that these youths remain rooted, grow and bear fruit in Christ in all circumstances.

Abstract

Children with special needs have a variety of cases. This study will focus on discussing the development of children with special needs based on authoritative parenting. The goal is that parents can understand the types and factors that cause children with special needs in the gifted category, so they can pay attention to child care appropriately. This research was conducted in October 2020 - July 2021 Lopait Village RT/RW 09/01, Tuntang, Semarang Regency, Central Java. The method used is qualitative observation conducted in the form of direct structured interviews and using google form. The data obtained are then combined so that it becomes a descriptive discussion. Based on the results of this study, "GM" parents made efforts to handle it by disciplinary action according to the rules, training to improve development, providing motivation in the form of appreciation, giving limits/rules, bringing "GM" for hearing checks, participating in therapy, entering public formal schools and practice some tips from ABK experts at home. The results of the development of "GM" look significant, for example, being able to pronounce letters and starting to say simple words. Socio-emotional "GM" also begins to develop well, can express thoughts, begin to focus, and is able to look into the eyes of others. Thus, authoritative parenting is said to be appropriate for dealing with children with special needs in the gifted category.

Abstract

Ide dasariah tulisan ini berangkat dari pada bulan Desember 2021, berbagai stasiun televisi dan platform media sosial mengulas maraknya pelecehan seksual yang terjadi baik di tanah air maupun di luar negeri. Berdasarkan laporan Kementerian Pemberdayaan Perempuan dan Perlindungan Anak (KemenPPPA) melaporkan, korban kekerasan seksual mencapai angka tertinggi pada tahun 2020 yakni sekitar 7.191 kasus, sementara pada tahun 2020 jumlah kasus kekerasan pada anak dan perempuan mencapai 11.637. Di dalam menguraikan topik ini, peneliti menerapkan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi literatur untuk menjawab dua inti utama pertanyaan penelitian pada topik ini, yaitu bagaimana gambaran penderitaan korban pelecehan seksual? dan bagaimana kontribusi pengajar pendidik agama Kristen (PAK) untuk membantu pemulihan traumatik korban? Temuan pada pembahasan pada topik ini, mereka yang pernah mengalami pelecehan seksual, mengalami penderitaan fisik, finansial, psikis serta spiritual. Kontribusi yang dapat dilakukan oleh pengajar PAK dengan menggagas dan melakukan PAK berbasis konseling dan mentoring. Tujuan penerapan dilaksanakan, pengajar hadir serta menemani korban sampai mengalami tahap pemulihan dari trauma yang dialami. Pendidikan seks yang terintegrasi dalam agama juga dapat dilakukan untuk mencegah agar tidak ada yang menjadi pelaku pelecehan seksual. Hal tersebut akan membantu jumlah pengurangan kasus pelecehan seksual.
