Abstract

Introduction: Passive lifestyles carried out by community groups, such as among students, can cause health problems in the future, such as the emergence of degenerative diseases and endocrine diseases. Certain lifestyles that are carried out can be influenced by internal factors such as sociodemographic factors. The research was conducted in June 2022, involving 127 respondents from Malang city. The population in this study were students in the town of Malang; the research sample was some students who lived passive lifestyles. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with the criteria that students were living a passive lifestyle, as evidenced by a score of less than 36 (inactive lifestyle) obtained from screening using a questionnaire. The International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) is used to identify the passive.Furthermore, the data were analyzed by bivariate analysis with chi-square and multivariate with odds ratio. Results: the results of the study show that the education factor triggers a passive lifestyle among students, with a value of 13.625 or 13.6%, meaning that 13.6% of the trigger for an inactive lifestyle is from the education factor. Conclusion: based on the study's results, it can be concluded that a person's behaviour is determined mainly by their attitudes and understanding. So it is essential to give massive educational efforts to teenagers about the impact of a passive lifestyle to change their behaviour.

Abstract

Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus that attacks the respiratory system, Oxygen saturation (SpO2) is one of the indicators of the severity of COVID-19 infection. Prone position is given as a nurse's self-intervention in COVID-19 patients which can evidently increase oxygenation in patients characterized by increased oxygen saturation. This study aims to determine the effect of prone position for increasing oxygen saturation of COVID-19 patients. This study used a pre-experimental design with a one-group pre-post test design without a control group. Researchers measure oxygen saturation before (pre-test) and after (post-test) to perform prone position in COVID-19 patients. The study population was all COVID-19 patients treated in the Isolation Room of a hospital in Bali. The sample in the study was 30 people who met the research criteria using purposive sampling techniques. The results of the study were obtained before prone position the average oxygen saturation was 94.90% while after being given the intervention prone position became 98.40%. Based on the Wilcoxon test analysis obtained p-value = 0.001. It concluded that there was a significant effect of prone position for increasing oxygen saturation of COVID-19 patients. Nurses are expected to provide education about prone position for COVID-19 patients, and the patients is recommended to practice prone position exercise to accelerate healing and reduce mortality

Abstract

Self-efficacy in nursing students can affect the clinical and academic learning process. Self-efficacy is an assessment or belief that a person has about their ability to organize and carry out an action. This study aims to describe the self-efficacy of nursing students. The research design used was non-experimental with a descriptive approach. The population in this study were professional students of the Faculty of Nursing, the University of Jember, with a total sampling technique of 236 respondents. The results showed that the respondents' self-efficacy obtained the mean and standard deviation (60.75 ± 8.296). In the results of the self-efficacy indicator, the mean and min-max results for levels 23.96 and 9-32. The mean (18.79) and min-max (7-24) results are obtained on the strength indicator. The generalization indicator's mean (18.02) and min-max (10-24) results are obtained. The conclusion of this study shows that the value of student self-efficacy is still not optimal because students do not fully state that they often and very often have confidence in carrying out and completing the nursing professional education process. Students' self-efficacy needs to be improved by having good relationships with clinical and academic supervisors as role models, asking for verbal persuasion from those closest to them, and practicing activities independently to achieve a certain level of competence.

Abstract

Background: Stunting is a condition where a person's height is shorter than the height of other people in general (of the same age). Factors that influence the incidence of stunting are the mother's knowledge about stunting prevention and feeding patterns. Knowledge results from knowing after people have sensed a particular object. The feeding pattern is the mother's way of giving food to children aged 0-24 months. Objectives: This study aims to determine the effect of the simulation games puzzle on increasing mothers' knowledge about stunting prevention and feeding patterns in children aged 0-24 months. Methods: The research design was quasi-experimental with a non-equivalent (pretest and post-test) control group design. Results: There was a significant difference in mother's knowledge about stunting prevention in the simulation game puzzle and booklet group after education (p=0.032), and there was a significant difference in feeding patterns for children aged 0-24 months in the simulation game puzzle and booklet group after education (0.043). Conclusion: Simulation puzzle games and booklets can effectively be used as educational media in increasing mothers' knowledge about stunting prevention and feeding patterns in children aged 0-24 months.

Abstract

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) grade V is a condition that requires the patient to undergo hemodialysis for the rest of his life. Often hypervolemia occurs between two times of dialysis. Hypervolemia can lead to emergency conditions such as pulmonary edema and cardiac arrest. Interdialytic Weight Gain (IDWG) is an indicator of fluid intake during the interdialytic period. Calculating fluid balance per 24 hours helps patients with CKD grade V in controlling fluid intake. The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of using a fluid balance application on IDWG status in grade V CKD patients undergoing hemodialysis. This study used a quasi experiment, with one group pre and posttest design. 24 respondents were selected by consecutive sampling technique. Statistical analysis using a paired t-test showed that there was an effect of using a fluid balance application on IDWG status in grade V CKD patients undergoing hemodialysis (p value = 0.000). The application of fluid balance can be applied to patients with CKD grade V because it is effective in controlling hypervolemia
