Jurnal Natural Science ini memuat artikel yang membahas aspek pendidikan Fisika, metode, model pembelajaran IPA Fisika, inovasi-inovasi pembelajaran, perangkat pembelajaran, dan aspek fisika murni. Tim redaksi menerima artikel ilmiah dari hasil penelitian, laporan studikasus, kajian dan tinjauan pustaka. Terbitnya jurnal pendidikan ini menjadikan suatu indikator bahwa prodi Tadris IPA Fisika sangat peduli terhadap perkembangan dan inovasi-inovasi pada bidang sains terutama pendidikan Fisika. Selain itu adanya Jurnal Natural Science menunjukkan bahwa para dosen Tadris IPA Fisika sudah membudayakan meneliti dan mempublikasikan hasil penelitian. Jurnal studi pendidikan fisika juga mengajak pihak lain berpartisipasi dalam penerbitan jurnal baik universitas local maupun tingkat nasional dan bahkan internasional. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to look at the effectiveness of problem solving based e-modules on students' critical thinking skills. The pre-experimental research method used the one shot case study design. The instruments used are tests that are used to see students' critical thinking skills. The research sample was students of class X MIPA 4 SMA N 2 Lubuk Basung. The results showed the e-module was very effective at developing students' critical thinking skills. The acquisition of critical thinking ability scores on IDEALS aspects as follows: I (Identify) 83.33% the category is very effective; D (Define) 86.66% very effective category; E (Enumerate) 85.55% in the highly effective category; A (Analyze) 83.33% very effective category; L (List) 83.33% very effective category; and S (Selt-Correct) 81.81% in the highly effective category. This shows that e-module based on problem solving can be used to develop critical thinking skills of high school class X students on straight motion and parabolic motion material.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of critical thinking skills of learners in the learning process of physics in MTsN IV Koto Aur Malintang. This leads to physics learning outcomes learners are still under KKM set is 75. Among the causes is the lack of an opportunity for learners to develop thinking skills, especially critical thinking skills, students are less active in developing her potential, as well as the learning process used is more teacher-centered. Businesses that can be done to improve the critical thinking skills of learners is to implement a model of hands on activity. This study aims to determine the increase in critical thinking skills of learners by applying the model of hands on activity on learning physics MTsN IV Koto Aur Malintang.This study is a quasi-experimental research (quasy-exsperimental research) research design is randomized control group only design. The population in this study were all students of class VII MTsN IV Koto Aur Malintang Academic Year 2016/2017. The sampling in this class using cluster random sampling technique. Retrieved class as a class experiment VII.1 and VII.2 class as the control class. The instrument used in this study is a test of learning outcomes in the form of an objective test to use traditional indicators of critical thinking. The technique used to test the hypothesis is by using t-test. T tests were performed for normal distribution of data and data group has a homogeneous variance.Based on data analysis averages the critical thinking skills of students in the experimental class was 69.15 and in control group was 62.89. The results of the analysis of data obtained through t test t = 2.63 and 1.66 t table, where t count> t table (2.63> 1.66). His decision is H0 and H1 accepted. This means learning model application hands on activity in the learning of physics can improve critical thinking skills of students in learning physics MTsN IV Koto Aur Malintang. So it can be concluded that the application of the model hands-on activity can improve critical thinking skills of students in learning physics MTsN IV Koto Aur Malintang at level of 95%.

Abstract

This development aims to produce and develop e-book physics learning media using 3D Pageflip Professional on Learning that meets valid, practical and effective eligibility criteria. This research is a type of research development or Research and Development (R & D) with procedural model adapting 4-D models that define, design, develop and disseminate. Data obtained from validated questionnaires were given to 2 media experts, 2 material experts, 1 linguist, 1 commentator, 2 educators and 70 students. Based on the average result of the validation test by 6 validators the average value of 90.3%, very practical for educators with an average grade of 92.8% and is classified as very practical to use learners with an average value of 85%, and Very effective with the average value of 80.62%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the e-book physics learning media using 3D Pageflip Professional is feasible to be used as a medium of learning that meets the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness and can increase learning interest of learners .

Abstract

Research on the development of Creative Problm Solving (CPS) based assessment essays using 4-D models. The stages in the 4-D model consist of define, design, development and disseminate. The results of the analysis from the define stage state that students' creative thinking abilities at SMAN 7 Padang are still low and the development of creative problem-based assessment essay sheets is needed. The next step to do is the design stage. The design is done to get the foundation and conformity of the development of assessment essays with the needs and characteristics of students. The next stage is the stage of development (development) which includes tests of validity, practicality, and effectiveness testing. The validation stage shows the results that the Essay assessment sheet is valid for testing. After the Essay assessment sheet is declared valid by the validator, the next step is to conduct a trial to find out its practicality and effectiveness. The effectiveness of the use of assessment essay sheets seen during limited trials is carried out. The effectiveness of assessment essays is not only seen from the improvement of students' creative thinking abilities, but also from the competencies of attitudes, knowledge, and skills. The results showed that assessment essay sheets based on creative problem solving models were developed effectively to improve students' creative thinking skills (73.08), attitude competence (83.82), and skills competencies (78.93) in learning physics.

Abstract

The laboratory is an academic support for educational institutions that are systematically managed for testing, calibration, and / or production activities on a limited scale in the context of implementing education, research, and community service. In order to function optimally a laboratory needs to be evaluated periodically. This research was conducted in the context of evaluating service to users in six aspects, namely: 1. Tangibles aspects (Laboratory Facilities, Equipment Completeness),2. Reliability aspects (reliability of teaching staff, Academic staff),3. Responsiveness Aspects (Responsiveness / K3 availability in the laboratory)4. Empathy Aspects (Understanding of the interests of visitors) and 5. Aspects of Assurance (treatment of users) and 6. Aspects of Innovation in governance and services. The method used is a mixture of quantitative and qualitative methods using questionnaire instruments, interviews, and document studies. The results showed that the Tangibles Aspect, Reliability, Responsiveness, Empathy and Assurance as well as the Innovation Aspect were in a fairly good condition.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of obtaining a description of the quality of the minithesis guidance process that took place during the covid-pandemic period in Biology Education Department IAIN Kerinci and student satisfaction in carrying out the guidance process during the pandemic. The research method used is a descriptive method with a questionnaire instrument quality process guidance minithesis and written interviews online. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results obtained by the quality of the minithesis guidance process of students during the pandemic are in the good category with an average of 66.4. Media that are widely used during the minithesis guidance process are whatsApp and email. As many as 60% of the sample of students were satisfied with the guidance process they went through during the pandemic. The minithesis guidance process experiences many obstacles, one of which is in terms of guidance time and ineffective communication between the supervisor and students. The solutions provided by students include continuing to carry out offline counseling by paying attention to health protocols.

Abstract

This study aims to apply the cooperative learning model type Pair Checks in SMP Negeri 19 Tanjung Jabung Timur. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK), conducted in two cycles. Each cycle includes planning, acting and observing, evaluating and reflecting. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII.C of SMP Negeri 19 Tanjung Jabung Timur. Data collection techniques in the study were in the form of observation sheets, student worksheets, written tests and documentation. The instruments used in this research were syllabus, lesson plan and observation sheet. The data analysis used is descriptive qualitative. The results showed that the implementation of the Pair Checks type of cooperative learning can improve learning outcomes and learning activities of students. This is evidenced by the increase in the average learning outcomes of students from cycle I to cycle II, where the average pre-cycle final test result was 71.80 in sufficient categories, while the average final result of cycle I was 77.14 good categories. , and in cycle II showed an increase with the average final learning outcomes is 82.17 with very good category. Thus it can be concluded that the implementation of the cooperative learning model type Pair Checks is very good where students look more active in class.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of physics students learning outcomes. The learning process which tends to be centered on teachers lead students do not actively find ideas. Students are less dare argue or ask questions. This study aims to determine whether the results of learning physics students through Guided Inquiry learning model with Mind Map better than conventional learning in class X MAN Linggo Sari Baganti. This study is quasy experiment, with the study design randomized control group only design. The population in this study is a class X MAN IPA Linggo Sari Baganti Academic Year 2016/2017 consisting of 2 classes (X IPA1 and X IPA2). The conclusion shows that physics student learning outcomes by implementing Guided Inquiry learning model with Mind Map better than conventional teaching in class X MAN Linggo Sari Baganti with average physics student learning outcomes in the cognitive domain the experimental class 83.8 and 78.4 the control class

Abstract

Penelitian pengembangan essay assessment berbasis Creative Problm Solving (CPS) menggunakan 4-D model. Tahap-tahap dalam 4-D model terdiri dari define, desain, development dan disseminate. Hasil analisis dari tahap definemenyataan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik di SMAN 7 Padang masih rendah dan diperlukan pengembangan lembar essay assessment berbasis creative problem solving. Langkah selanjutnya yang dilakukan adalah tahap design (perancangan). Perancangan lembar essay assessment dimulai dengan penyusunan standar tes, pemilihan media, pemilihan format, membuat rancangan awal.Perancangan dilakukan untuk mendapatkan landasan dan kesesuian pengembangan essay assessment dengan kebutuhan dan karakteristik peserta didik. Essay assessment dirancang memuat langkah-langkah model pembelajaran creative problem solving untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik.Penelitian yang dilakukan termasuk jenis penelitiandeskriptif kualitatif, yang mendeskripsikan rancangan essay assessment berbasis creative problem solving untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif.Rancangan lembar essay assessment berbasis creative problem solving terdiri dari: cover, kata pengantar, daftar isi, identitas, petunjuk,  tujuan pembelajaran, Tahap kegiatan pada lembar essay assessment disesuaikan dengan tahap-tahap creative problem solving dan memperhatikan karakteristik asesmen autentik. format penilaian, selain itu essay assessment juga dilengkapi dengan RPP dan Penilaian yang berbasis CPS.

Tahap validasi menunjukkan hasil bahwa lembar Essay assessmentvalid untuk diujicobakan. Setelah lembar Essay assessmentdinyatakan valid oleh validator, langkah berikutnya adalah melakukan uji coba untuk mengetahui kepraktisan dan keefektivannya. Data kepraktisan diambil dari observasi terhadap keterlaksanaan RPP, angket respon guru, dan angket respon peserta didik selama mengikuti pembelajaran menggunakan lembar Essay assessment. Penelitian yang dilakukan ternasuk jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, yang mendeskripsikan hasil uji praktikalitas lembar Essay assessment.
