Abstract

Purpose: This research aims to analyze the effect of organic and inorganic fertilizer packages on the growth of Tejakula tangerine plants and changes in soil chemical properties after being given organic and inorganic fertilizer packages. Research methods: The method used in this research was a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with 1 (one) factor. The treatment tested was the fertilizer package dose (P), consisting of 3 levels, namely organic fertilizer/cow manure (Po), organic cow manure + 22.6 g Urea fertilizer + 4 g KCl fertilizer + Phonska Plus 15 fertilizer -15-15 dose 84 g (Ph), and organic cow manure fertilizer + Urea fertilizer dose 22.6 g, KCl fertilizer dose 4 g, Phonska Plus fertilizer 15-15-15 dose 84 g + mycorrhizal biofertilizer + liquid organic fertilizer (POC) probiotics (Pc). Each treatment was repeated 8 times to obtain 24 treatments. Findings: The response to the fertilizer package had a significant to very significant effect on plant growth, such as increasing plant height, increasing the number of primary branches, increasing stem diameter and number of leaves. The fertilizer package that gave the highest response to plant height, number of leaves, while the increase in stem diameter had the same effect. Primary branch augmentation is the most influential Ph package but is not significantly different from PC. The effect of fertilizer packages on changes in soil chemical properties is that pH is neutral, DHL is classified as low to very high, C-org is classified as high, N-tot is classified as medium, P-available and K-available is classified as very high. Implication: The effect of mixed organic, inorganic and biological fertilizers and probiotic POC provide the best response to plant growth and increase DHL in the soil.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to identify and analyze problems in 3R-based waste management in Badung Regency. Research methods: This study uses a quantitative descriptive method with secondary data from the Profile of the Badung Regency Environmental Service and the Badung Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in 2024, which was carried out for four months (June–October 2024) covering 33 TPS3R locations. Findings: Badung Regency has 39 TPS 3R, with 33 actively operating and 6 not optimal. Eight TPS 3R still apply the traditional collect-transport-dispose system. The obstacles faced are weak enforcement of sanctions, inter-agency coordination, and community participation. In addition, there are obstacles to coordination between agencies as well as limitations in human resources, infrastructure, and funding. As many as 56% of TPS 3R experienced equipment damage (shredding machines, sifting), inadequate capacity, and unsuitable buildings. On the other hand, household waste sorting is low due to minimal education and incentives. Compost products are not SNI certified so they are difficult to market competitively. Implication: A strategy is needed to strengthen regulations, ongoing training, infrastructure and funding support, and cross-sector collaboration. Increasing community participation through education and incentives is also the key to the success of sustainable waste management in Badung Regency

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the development of Aan Tourism Village in Klungkung Regency, Bali, using the Tourism Area Life Cycle (TALC) approach from Butler (1980). Research methods: A qualitative descriptive approach was used with direct observation techniques and in-depth interviews with key informants to understand the dynamics of tourism that occur. Findings: Aan Village is in a transition period from the development stage to consolidation. This is indicated by an increase in the number of tourist visits, community involvement in tourism activities, development of supporting infrastructure, and the implementation of formal regulations. However, several challenges have begun to emerge, such as uneven community involvement and expectations of economic benefits that have not been fully achieved. Implication: Strategies for strengthening institutions, tourism product innovation, and increasing digital promotion are recommended to encourage sustainability. These findings contribute to the formulation of sustainable tourism village development policies that are oriented towards a balance between economic, social, and environmental aspects.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this research is the demand for popular patisserie products in Bali, which prompted The Mulia, Mulia Resort & Villas, Nusa Dua, Bali to establish Cannelé as their additional dining outlet to offer exquisite patisserie offerings. Research methods: The study employs a POAC-based approach (planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling) supported by theories in Gastronomy, Menu Engineering, and Gastronomic Culinary. This study employs a qualitative approach, collecting data through observation, document study, interview, and focus group discussion. Findings: The Mulia, Mulia Resort & Villas develop and manage Cannelé through POAC management cycle. Menu management was conducted rigorously through menu engineering and trend analysis to classify items based on sales performance for operational analysis. The model that can be designed and applied is the operational management cycle. The comparison of menu categories shows a strong foundation for items in the Star and Plow horse and potential to the Puzzle. A significant number of items fall in dog categories. Patisserie/cake product line, ice cream, and coffee show the strongest performance. Meanwhile, the savory menu/main dishes and kids’ menu demonstrate low sales. Implication: This study contributes valuable applied knowledge in culinary management and hospitality tourism, particularly in F&B product strategy within luxury hotel environments.

Abstract

Purpose: Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are an important pillar of the Indonesian economy, including in Badung Regency, contributing 61% to GDP and 97% of employment. However, the adoption of digital technology by MSME is still low due to limited digital literacy, infrastructure, and human resources. This study aims to analyze the implementation of MSME digitalization in Badung Regency and formulate effective digital marketing strategies to increase sales. Research Methods: The study used a quantitative descriptive method with secondary data from a survey of MSME digitalization in 6 sub-districts in Badung Regency. The sample consisted of 180 MSMEs selected randomly, with a focus on micro-enterprises. Findings: As many as 70% of MSMEs have implemented digitalization, especially in the fields of financial administration (77%) and marketing (75%). Instagram (48%) and websites (36%) are the most popular marketing platforms. The positive impacts of digitalization include increased turnover (70%) and market expansion (62%), but challenges such as low digital literacy (66%) and poor internet quality (37%) still hinder. Implications: Digitalization has the potential to improve MSME performance, but requires holistic support. Priority programs include providing non-HR intensive application platforms, improving internet quality, and digital literacy training and MSME management.

Abstract

Purpose: The research aims to analyze the growth and effectiveness of budget realization at the Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency (Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Tata Ruang) of Buleleng Regency during the 2020–2024 period, as well as identify the factors that influence it and the efforts made to improve performance. Research methods: The study employed a descriptive quantitative method using growth and effectiveness ratio analyses based on the Budget Realization Report, supported by interview data. Findings: The growth of budget realization fluctuated throughout the 2020–2024 period. A significant decline occurred from 2021 to 2023, reaching –49% (a very low category), primarily due to decreases in both capital and operational expenditures. Meanwhile, the effectiveness analysis revealed that the level of budget realization varied across expenditure types. Operational expenditures (employees, goods and services, and grants) were categorized as effective, with an average realization rate above 90%, while capital expenditures showed relatively lower effectiveness, ranging from 51% (ineffective) to 88% (fairly effective). Implication: These findings indicate that the budget management of PUTR Buleleng has been well implemented in operational aspects, but still requires improvement in optimizing capital expenditures. The main influencing factors include: inadequate planning, procurement processes, and delays in tender.

Abstract

Purpose: This study analyzes the ethics and professionalism of government auditors of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency of the Bali Provincial Representative Office. Research methods: The total sample of 65 people. This study employs a quantitative approach, utilizing a questionnaire with a 1-5 Likert scale for data collection. The analysis model uses Structural Equation Modeling. Findings: The study results indicate that professional ethics, education, and experience greatly influence the professionalism of government auditors. Suppose the government and institutions can implement measures to prevent fraud and budget irregularities early. In that case, clean, transparent, and accountable budget implementation principles can be implemented properly and comprehensively. Implication: Although public sector control has been largely overlooked in political theory, Aristotle, John Stuart Mill, and Max Weber emphasized the importance of the audit function to ensure that the power of public administration is not too broad, highlighting various aspects to shape its character. The Financial and Development Supervisory Agency will be effective if it carries out its functions and authorities properly and monitors and internally reports any deviations in budget implementation in the government and institutions.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to examine the relationship between compensation fairness and driver switching intention, with empirical evidence drawn from Koperasi Serba Usaha (KSU) Sedana Murti in Bali. Research methods: A mixed-method exploratory sequential design was employed, beginning with qualitative exploration through Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and in-depth interviews, followed by quantitative analysis using multiple regression. Findings: The qualitative phase revealed that drivers’ reluctance to remain on online platforms is shaped by perceptions of external fairness (full income without commission deductions and competitive fares), internal fairness (transparent operations and proportional incentives), and individual fairness (income adequacy to support personal and family needs). Additional non-financial factors such as professional pride, guest satisfaction, and work comfort also reinforced the preference for tourist taxi systems. Quantitative results confirmed that external fairness (X₁), internal fairness (X₂), and individual fairness (X₃) all significantly affect switching intention (Y), with an Adjusted R² value of 0.907. Among them, individual fairness emerged as the most dominant factor. Implication: These results validate the relevance of Compensation Fairness Theory and Switching Intention Theory within the framework of the Theory of Planned Behavior, demonstrating that perceived fairness strongly drives occupational decisions in Bali’s tourism transport sector.
