Abstract

The Ottoman Empire was one of the great powers in Islamic history, wielding widespread influence not only in the Islamic world but also in Eastern Europe. The empire's success in achieving future glory was not solely determined by military and political power, but also by the integrated management of da'wah (Islamic outreach) in various aspects of state life. This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of da'wah management during the Ottoman Empire and to support the empire's development. The research method used is a qualitative method with a literature study approach, examining various primary and secondary sources relevant to the history and da'wah system of the Ottoman Empire. The results of the study indicate that da'wah management during the Ottoman Empire was implemented systematically and structured across the military, government, education, religious, and cultural sectors. Da'wah was not merely a religious activity but also part of the state's strategy to build stability, expand its territory, and shape the character of its people. In conclusion, the Ottoman Empire's success as a major Islamic power was greatly influenced by the effectiveness of da'wah management integrated with the government system and social development.

Abstract

Indonesia struggles with significant food and plastic waste. Restaurants and cafés in Sumedang Regency (KBLI 56) are major contributors but could spearhead the green economy transition. This study examines the awareness and readiness of food‑service SMEs to adopt green practices by integrating the Technology–Organization–Environment (TOE) framework with Pro‑Environmental Planned Behavior (PEPB). A cross‑sectional survey of owner‑managers was analysed using PLS‑SEM; after confirmatory factor analysis, nineteen indicators remained and the model achieved acceptable fit. Results show that access to green finance (β = 0.852, p < 0.001) and institutional pressure (β = 1.598, p < 0.001) significantly enhance SMEs’ digital capability, whereas environmental knowledge and sustainability attitude have no direct effect. Digital capability strongly drives green‑economy adoption (β = 0.769, p = 0.046) and fully mediates the impact of financial access and institutional pressure on adoption; direct paths from knowledge, attitude or finance to adoption are insignificant. These findings highlight an attitude–behaviour gap and underscore the need to build digital capability through funding and normative pressures. Policy implications include bundling green loans with digital training and establishing gentle regulatory norms to prepare SMEs for sustainable operations. Keywords: green-economy adoption; digital capability; institutional pressure; SMEs (KBLI 56); Sumedang

Abstract

The development of digital communication technology used in business has enabled marketing or sales as a form of digital economy that no longer requires face-to-face meetings. The growth of Indonesia's digital economy is largely supported by the e-commerce sector, which is around 34% or equivalent to IDR 1,900 trillion in 2030. As the digital economy grows, the penetration of Internet users in Indonesia is also increasing. The "Digital 2023" report shows that in early 2022, Indonesian Internet users reached 204.7 million. TikTok Shop has become an increasingly popular digital economy platform for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia in the past five years. This study uses a literature review method with a descriptive approach. The results of the study show that Tiktok Shop provides e-commerce features that are useful and easy to use by MSMEs. Likewise, transactions that can be carried out from the same platform allow buyers and sellers to communicate easily before making transactions. Including various features in creating content that supports MSMEs to promote products, sales streaming videos, building followers, and creating events that invite potential buyers. Abstract

This study examines the impact of digitalization on the performance and work-life balance of female workers residing in company dormitories, with a focus on PT Indo-Rama Synthetics Tbk, Spun Yarns Division. In the digital era, while workers in manufacturing environments benefit from increased technological access, those living in dormitories face unique challenges. This research adopts a qualitative approach, involving 20 female dormitory residents and 10 non-dormitory workers for comparison. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis, and analyzed thematically. The findings show that dormitory workers have better access to digital tools and technology, but their performance is constrained by limited opportunities for training and reduced social interaction. To provide a clearer comparison, the study also applied a simple mean score framework to quantify key perceptions across aspects such as access to technology, training, work-life balance, and psychological well-being. The results revealed consistent gaps between dormitory and non-dormitory workers, particularly in flexibility and social connectivity. The study concludes with recommendations for companies to implement continuous digital training programs, flexible work policies, and enhanced social facilities in dormitories. Further research is encouraged to explore inclusive digitalization strategies and comparative studies between dormitory and non-dormitory workers in different sectors. Keywords: digitalization, performance, work-life balance, female workers, dormitories

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are business entities that play a strategic role in the Indonesian economy. Continuously evolving information technology can increase efficiency, productivity, and creativity in business. One information technology that MSMEs can utilize is artificial intelligence (AI). This research was conducted to examine the use of artificial intelligence by MSMEs as an effort to increase competitive advantage in their business development. This research utilized a literature review method as an approach to collect, analyze, and formulate information from various scientific publications, including books, online articles, journals, theses, and other written sources. The study concluded that implementing artificial intelligence in business decision-making in MSMEs offers many substantial benefits, although it also faces specific challenges. AI significantly improves operational efficiency and competitive advantage by processing data quickly and accurately, allowing management to concentrate on strategic initiatives. However, the implementation of artificial intelligence should be carried out gradually through trials and evaluation of results, so that the technology adaptation process is more efficient and minimizes the potential for resource waste. Abstract

A cooperative is a form of economic organization that is owned and operated by its members to achieve common goals where the members have similar goals and economic interests. One reflection of the cooperative's success in achieving its goals can be seen from the SHU produced. The importance of SHU for cooperatives is not just a number in a financial report, but is an indicator of the cooperative's success in achieving its goals. This research aims to analyze the influence of funding sources consisting of own capital and loan capital on the ability of cooperatives to produce SHU at Credit Unions in West Jakarta City for 2022. This research uses quantitative research methods with multiple linear regression analysis. The total data sample are 44 credit unions that carry out and report RAT from 210 active cooperatives in West Jakarta City. Data source comes from the Online Data System (ODS) application of the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs. The research results show that simultaneously (together) Own Capital (X1) and Loan Capital (X2) have a positive effect with a contribution of 0.306 or 30.6% to the acquisition of SHU (Y). However, partially Own Capital has a more significant influence on SHU acquisition compared to Loan Capital. Increasing the own capital can be done by inviting cooperative members to actively pay and/or increase the amount of principal savings and mandatory savings as well as inviting outside members to join the cooperative in order to increase the amount of their own capital in the cooperative. Abstract

This study examines the implementation of marketing mix strategies in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) from a sharia marketing management perspective. This research method uses a qualitative approach based on literature review. The results of this study indicate that MSME products must meet the criteria of halal and thayyib products with appropriate innovation, fair prices without usury or fraudulent practices, inclusive and accessible places and distribution, and honest and educational promotions. Implementing this strategy increases the trust and loyalty of Muslim consumers and supports the ethical sustainability of MSME businesses, while simultaneously empowering the ummah's economy in the digital and global era. The findings of this study emphasize the importance of synergy between spiritual values and business objectives in managing sharia-based MSME marketing.
