Abstract

This study aims to develop the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program of PT Borneo Indobara through a case study of the Kenari Jaya Program in Trans Nelayan Angsana Village, Tanah Bumbu Regency, South Kalimantan. The program is designed to empower the fishermen community in economic, social, and environmental aspects through the provision of fish aggregating devices (rumpon), training, and fisheries infrastructure development. This research employs a qualitative exploratory approach by collecting data through in-depth interviews, field observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate positive impacts of the program on increasing fishermen’s income, improving fishing time efficiency, and diversifying family economic activities through home industry groups. The study also identifies challenges such as uneven distribution of benefits, lack of technical training, and limited local economic institutions. SWOT analysis and Fishbone Diagram were used to identify root causes and formulate development strategies to make the program more inclusive, sustainable, and socially impactful. Recommendations include strengthening fishermen’s cooperatives, expanding training coverage, and developing alternative community-based development programs. The results are expected to serve as a reference for developing CSR programs based on coastal community empowerment in Indonesia.

Abstract

This article critically examines the dual judicial system in Indonesia that governs the prosecution of gross human rights violations involving members of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI). While the Human Rights Court has the legal authority to try serious violations, the concurrent jurisdiction of military courts over active military personnel creates significant barriers to accountability and justice. This legal dualism fosters impunity and weakens public trust in Indonesia’s justice system. The article analyzes key cases, institutional dynamics, and the political legacy that perpetuate this impunity, alongside the expanded role of the military in internal security. It argues that comprehensive legal and institutional reforms, coupled with strong political will, are essential to harmonize jurisdiction, strengthen civilian oversight, and ensure equality before the law. Such reforms are critical for Indonesia to reconcile national security with human rights protections and to consolidate its democratic governance.

Abstract

Some obstacles faced by several OPDs, due to the large number of menus that must be filled in the input in SIPD, employees often miss one of the input processes so that the resulting report is different, delayed budget shifts, hampered payroll systems, and also the SIPD network which often errors so that there are obstacles in the preparation of cash budgets, making SPD, SPJ, SPP, SPM and making SP2D. Of the 105 menus available, there are 14,661 problems reported by the local government, of which 9,960 reports can be resolved while 4,701 problems are still in the process of being resolved. The purpose of this research is to identify, analyze and understand the governance of regional government information systems at the Ministry of Home Affairs, as well as to design an ideal model for governance of regional government information systems at the Ministry of Home Affairs. This study uses the theory of policy evaluation proposed by Dunn (2000:610). The research method used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques are carried out by interview, observation and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the Regional Government Information System policy is not optimal due to: There is no Steering Committee specifically assigned to supervise and manage development and implementation. The absence of a special committee causes a lack of cross-echelon coordination in strategic decision-making related to SIPD development. Many technical and policy constraints related to SIPD that require cross-directorate decision-making are not resolved quickly, resulting in delays in implementation. There is no formal mechanism for monitoring, evaluating, and following up on policies that are integrated into one leadership structure. The appropriate model for optimizing the Regional Government Information System Policy is called the SIPD Governance Model. This model refers to 4 (six) SIPD governance, namely: SIPD service catalog, Service management organization, Definition of Level and SIPD Service Operational Support System.

Abstract

The prevalent manual method of replacing ceiling lamps, which often involves climbing on unstable furniture, poses significant safety risks, including potential falls, electrocution, and other severe injuries. This common practice underscores an urgent need for safer and more efficient lamp maintenance solutions in both domestic and commercial settings. This research aims to mitigate these inherent dangers by developing and upgrading conventional ceiling lamp changers into a semi-automatic system. The primary objectives are to enhance the safety, speed, and overall ease of the lamp replacement process, thereby effectively minimizing the risk of user injury. The proposed methodology involves designing a semi-automatic ceiling lamp changer by integrating a control switch mechanism that enables remote rotation of the lamp holder. This innovative approach will facilitate the safe removal and installation of lamps without direct manual contact or the necessity of climbing. Concurrently, comprehensive product cost planning and market-driven pricing strategies will be conducted to ensure the device’s affordability and widespread community acceptance. The successful development of this semi-automatic ceiling lamp changer is anticipated to provide a significantly safer, faster, and more convenient alternative for lamp replacement. This remote-operated design is expected to substantially reduce injury incidents associated with current manual methods. By ensuring affordability and market compatibility, this innovation aims to achieve broad community adoption, ultimately contributing to safer environments for lamp maintenance.

Abstract

In the increasingly competitive real estate sector, firms are required to optimize Market Insight, Business Strategy, and Innovation while simultaneously adapting to dynamic conditions in order to sustain Competitive Advantage. This study investigates the structural relationship between these strategic drivers and examines how Innovation mediates and Adaptability moderates their impact on Competitive Advantage. A quantitative approach was adopted using Structural Equation Modeling based on the Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) technique, with data collected from 185 respondents within the Indonesian real estate industry. The results demonstrate that both Market Insight and Business Strategy significantly influence Innovation and Competitive Advantage, with Innovation serving as a partial mediator. Furthermore, Adaptability strengthens the positive effect of Innovation on Competitive Advantage, highlighting the importance of organizational responsiveness in turbulent environments. The findings indicate that firms integrating market-oriented strategies with innovation and adaptive capabilities tend to outperform competitors in sustaining long-term advantage. Theoretically, this research extends existing frameworks on dynamic capability and competitive strategy by emphasizing the contingent role of Adaptability. Practically, it provides guidance for decision-makers in formulating data-driven and flexible business strategies. Limitations of the study include its industry-specific context and the cross-sectional nature of the data. Future research is recommended to apply the proposed model across multiple sectors and to incorporate additional constructs such as digital transformation, customer engagement, and organizational resilience in order to broaden the theoretical contribution.

Abstract

Indonesian companies are becoming more pressured to schedule, budget, and release sustainability reports, including for companies in the Indonesian logistics and transportation industry. Unfortunately, little empirical evidence exists about the financial value of filing of sustainability reports in emerging markets. The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationship between the contents of sustainability reports and the financial performance of publicly-listed logistics and transportation companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period 2019-2024. This study, utilizing a revised EESG (Economic, Environmental, Social, Governance) evaluation framework, examines the content of sustainability reports. This analysis applied multiple linear regression (MLR) to consider effects on firms’ Tobin’s Q (TQ). Results indicated that, except for the partial significance of the Environmental dimension, other dimensions did not significantly affect market valuation. The findings indicate that sustainability reporting within this industry may emphasize requirements disclosure and environmental disclosure for value addition.

Abstract

This research explores the utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in optimizing the supervision of law enforcement officers handling general criminal cases. The study is motivated by the need to enhance efficiency and reduce procedural errors within the criminal justice system. The primary objective is to evaluate the effectiveness of AI-based supervision in improving key performance metrics. A simulated quantitative research design was employed using a pre-test/post-test control group approach. Two hypothetical groups of 50 officers each were observed: an experimental group receiving AI-based supervision and a control group under traditional supervision. Data were collected before and after the intervention to assess performance changes. The results showed that AI-based supervision significantly reduced procedural errors, shortened case processing time, and increased case completion rates compared to traditional methods. Independent samples t-tests confirmed the statistical significance of these improvements (p < 0.001). The study concludes that AI has strong potential to enhance supervisory effectiveness and operational efficiency in law enforcement.

Abstract

The rise of generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools that transform photos into illustrations inspired by Japan’s Studio Ghibli style has ignited debates about the protection of art styles under copyright law. This situation has prompted concerns over whether Studio Ghibli could take legal action against OpenAI for issues like false advertising, trademark infringement, or unfair competition, particularly regarding the use of Ghibli’s copyrighted works in training AI models. While the Ghibli case does not directly apply to Indonesia, it raises questions about how Indonesian law could protect local artists in similar circumstances. This research aims to analyze comparative strategies for drafting government regulations in response to the challenges posed by AI, focusing on Indonesian copyright law. A normative legal approach is used, relying on library research to examine relevant legal sources and regulations. The study identifies potential gaps in current Indonesian copyright protections for digital creations influenced by AI. In conclusion, it offers recommendations for adapting Indonesian law to safeguard the rights of artists in the age of AI, drawing lessons from international cases like Studio Ghibli vs. Open AI.

Abstract

Indonesia has thousands of national bridges that are vital for the country's mobility and economy. However, a large number of these bridges are in an unstable condition, posing a serious threat to the security and resilience of infrastructure. To keep the bridge safe and in good working order, ongoing maintenance and maintenance efforts are essential. The implementation of Quality Management Systems (SMM) and Knowledge Bases offers significant potential to improve bridge maintenance performance. However, the application of the Knowledge Base in the context of bridge maintenance is still very limited and has not been fully explored. Therefore, more research is needed to understand its impact and benefits in depth. The development of an effective Knowledge Base model and the integration of SMM in bridge maintenance work is a crucial strategic step to improve the performance and sustainability of bridge maintenance in Indonesia. These measures are expected to make a significant contribution to improving the resilience and safety of national bridge infrastructure.
