Abstract

At the beginning of 2020 the world was shocked by the Corona virus, information circulating about the Corona virus came from Wuhan, China. The Corona virus has caught the public's attention and caught the attention of the mass media. Many people do not know Covid-19, therefore they seek information on Covid-19 through the media.The purpose of this study was to determine the Tanjung Rejo community’s perception of the mass media coverage of the Corona virus. The theory used in this research is theory of perception and theory of uses and effect. The method used is a qualitative approach and face-to-face interviews with the people of Tanjung Rejo to collect the data. The data analysis technique used in this research is a qualitative approach. This research is descriptive, and describes the object of research as it is based on facts. This research is an attempt to reveal news issues related to the Corona virus or the circumstances of events that actually occurred. The results of this study indicate that the Tanjung Rejo community's perception of mass media reporting about the Corona virus is that some people are very afraid of excessive reporting that is informed by the mass media because media is reporting too much about the Corona virus

Abstract

The Non-Cash Food Assistance Program (BPNT) is an assistance that is distributed non-cash from the government to Beneficiary Families (KPM) each month in the amount of Rp. 110,000/KPM through an electronic account mechanism in the form of a Prosperous Family Card (KKS) which aims to improve economic conditions. family. The purpose of this study was to find out how the role of the village government in the distribution of Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) in Simpang Empat Village, Bebesen District, Central Aceh Regency and to find out what factors became obstacles in the distribution of the Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) program in the village. Simpang Empat Bebesen District, Central Aceh Regency. The method used by researchers in this study is a descriptive qualitative research method. The results of this study indicate that the distribution of the Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) program in Simpang Empat Village, Bebesen District, Central Aceh Regency has not gone well, this is because the population administration is still incomplete.

Abstract

The title of this research is Counselor Interpersonal Communication Pattern on Drug Users at Bahri Nusantara Rehabilitation Center, Medan City. Abuse of narcotics and dangerous drugs (drugs) in Indonesia. In recent years, drugs have become a serious problem so that it has become a national problem. The method used in this study is a qualitative method, collecting data using interviews, observation, and documentation. Based on the results of the research conducted, it is obtained: That the communication pattern is carried out face-to-face between counselors and addicts, so that a more familiar feeling arises to be able to find solutions to problems that occur, related to narcotics. Then the obstacles that occur in counselors where narcotic addict patients are less open, explain the problems they are experiencing, so that the counselor cannot find out what causes the actual patient to happen. Meanwhile, in addicts, there is still a lack of confidence in expressing their problems. So that it has not been maximally disclosed to the counselor.

Abstract

The coffee trend is currently global and the rise of coffeeshops in various regions including the city of Medan, the interest of researchers in conducting this research is that the Medan Terasore Coffeeshop is one of the most popular coffeeshops among young people today. The Medan Terasore Coffeeshop is always crowded with young people, especially on weekends. The objectives of this research are as follows: To find out what strategies are carried out by Coffeeshop Terasore Medan in utilizing Instagram as a digital marketing communication medium. To find out what factors are the obstacles in carrying out the Instagram utilization strategy carried out by Coffeeshop Terasore Medan. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Qualitative descriptive research method is a research method used to conduct research naturally. The results of the study show that the strategy of using Instagram social media through the from of posting photos, stories and video content has been successfully carried out by Coffeeshop Terasore Medan, with success being able to increase visitors who are increasing every day, especially at night. The inhibiting factor in carrying out the Instagram utilization strategy carried out by Coffeeshop Terasore Medan is that it does not have obstacles, it can be seen that with the uploads made by the admin of the Instagram account, Coffeeshop Terasore Medan is able to attract every visitor or follower to uploads that are in accordance with the topic being discussed. served on Instagram @terasore__.

Abstract

The title of the research is the Effect of General Manager Interpersonal Communication in Improving Employee Work Motivation During the Pandemic Period of The Crew Hotel Medan. This study examines how much influence the general manager's interpersonal communication has in increasing employee motivation during the pandemic. The method used is by using quantitative research methodology. Sampling using a random sampling formula with a population of 110 and a sample of 28 employees. This study uses simple linear regression analysis. (1). The results of the hypothesis test obtained that the value of T arithmetic T table (3.228 2.055) which is Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This states that there is an effect of general manager interpersonal communication in the higher employee motivation. (2). The simple correlation coefficient R is 0.535, indicating that there is a powerful interaction between general manager interpersonal communication and work motivation and p= 0.003 0.005 explaining that there is a significant relationship between general manager interpersonal communication using work motivation. (3). The value of the coefficient of determination R square of 0.576 indicates the contribution of interpersonal communication variables is 57.6% while the remaining 42.4% is influenced by other factors. (4). Based on the results of simple linear regression there is a positive impact between the Interpersonal Communication variable and the Work Motivation variable, this can be shown based on the equation: Y= 28.996 + 0.311 X.

Abstract

This research entitled Social Media Twitter as a Means to Access Information of Sexual Harassment (Netnography Study of Harassment Victim’s Thread "Fetish Kain Bungkus"). This research aims to determine the activities and motives of using Twitter as a means of accessing the information about sexual harassment "Fetish Kain Bungkus". In this research, four students became informants then the researcher chose @collegemenfess, which is the auto base account as one of the accounts for finding informants. The method used is descriptive qualitative with the Netnography approach, by collecting data through observation and interviews. The results showed that the activity of using Twitter for accessing the information on cases of harassment "fetish kain bungkus", such as replies of negative and positive comments, threads created by victims, Twitter users who created threads of victim confession threads, and artist responses from their personal Twitter account against the case. Then the activities of all informants in accessing sexual harassment information are reading threads, share the thread with the like, retweet, and copy link the thread to be shared via other social media. Motives of Twitter users for accessing sexual harassment information based on the uses and gratifications theory were information motives, personal identity motives, integration and social interaction motives, and entertainment motives.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the beginning of the Communication Conflict of PERSIJA’s Football Club Lovers (Jakmania) in Medan and to found out how to overcome the communication conflict of PERSIJA’s Football Club Lovers (Jakmania) in Medan. This research used qualitative research methods. The results showed that the communication conflict that occurred in The Jakmania Medan is started from hateful comments made by other supporters to PERSIJA on social media and then caused a sense of revenge in the members of The Jakmania Medan. This led to differences of opinion between members of The Jakmania Medan, members who approved of to take revenge in social media comments and members who did not approve of it. This difference of opinion can even caused fights among fellow members of The Jakmania Medan while arguing to convey each of their opinion. The role of the group Leaader related is efforts to overcome communication conflicts that occur in The Jakmania Medan is by mediating and sanctioning. The form of sanctions that will be given is the revocation of member identification cards (KTA) and sanctions in the form of legal forms.

Abstract

The focus of the research is the communication style displayed by the Head of the Subulussalam Municipal People's Representative Council (DPR-K) in establishing relationships with the people of Subulussalam City. This research was conducted in the City of Subulussalam. Data collection was carried out by means of observation, direct interviews and documentation related to research. As for the resource persons in this study, namely the key informants, the researchers chose the people of Subulussalam City, while those who became additional informants were the Chair of the DPR-K, the Secretary of the Council and Public Relations of the DPR-K Subulussalam. To get valid information in accordance with the author's research needs. The results of the research interview on the communication style presented by the Chairperson of the DPR-K Subulussalam dominate the Equalitarian style and structural style communication styles. This communication is considered effective because it is able to make it easier for the public to receive good information from the Chairperson of the DPR-K Subulussalam. It's just that the communication style possessed by the chairman of the DPR-K Subulussalam as a leader has not been found in all employees or fellow members in the DPR-K Subulussalam office so communication with the community is not very good.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the process of sending persuasive messages in the promotion activities of Grand Batang City by the Ministry of Investment through the Indonesia Investment Webinar Series 2021 event. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with research subjects consisting of the Ministry of Investment promotion division team, Grand Batang team City and the technical team. Data collection was obtained through interviews, observations and documentation conducted online and offline. The results of this study show that how the process of sending persuasive messages carried out in the Indonesia Investment Webinar Series 2021 event is said to be successful when viewed from how potential investors respond when receiving persuasive messages that have been delivered. Persuasive messages are conveyed with the intention of influencing, inviting and persuading from the rational and emotional side of potential investors with both verbal and non-verbal language so that persuasive messages can be conveyed properly. Although there were obstacles due to the tight timing of the event, the team was able to successfully complete the Indonesia Investment Webinar Series 2021 event well.

Abstract

Simplification of the Bureaucracy into 2 (two) echelon levels, and replacing the positions of Administrator (echelon III) and supervisor (echelon IV) with functional positions (JF) that respect expertise and competence so that the bureaucracy is more effective and efficient in overcoming ASN issues that often get the spotlight on performance that looks bad or is still less than what the community expects. To describe and analyze as well as to find out what are the supporting and inhibiting factors How to implement the Regulation of the Minister of Empowerment of State Apparatus and Bureaucratic Reform of the Republic of Indonesia Number 17 of 2021 concerning Equalization of Administrative Positions into Functional Positions in Trenggalek Regency. Qualitative methods and policy implementation of George C Edward III's model. Based on 4 variables that determine the success of implementing a policy, namely Communication, Resources, Disposition, and Bureaucratic Structure, it is still not going well. In order to be able to carry out socialization, training, and technical guidance, then increase the number of competent policy implementers in accordance with functional position education.
