The use of teaching materials in schools is one of the supports in the learning process. Modules are teaching materials that students can use in learning. This research aims to 1) Determine the level of validity of the module being developed; 2) Knowing the increase in students' critical thinking abilities taught with the modules developed; 3) Knowing students' responses to the modules being developed. The research method is R&D with the 4D development model. Data collection techniques through BSNP questionnaires, student response questionnaires and N-Gain tests to improve critical thinking. The population was Holy Kids Bersinar Medan High School. Based on material and media expert validators, it shows that 84.7% of material experts, 83.75% of media experts, the modules developed have a validity level of "Very valid". The module was also successful in improving students' thinking abilities through pretest and posttest scores that were carried out and the n-gain was searched for and obtained a score of 0.83% in the "High" category. Student responses to the development of this module received score of 93.05 in the "Very Good" category. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of POE-based chemistry modules has been successful in improving students' critical thinking abilities.

This research aims to find out whether the Guided Inquiry learning model is better than Discovery Learning in improving scientific literacy activities and student learning outcomes on reaction rate material. The research method used is quasi experimental. The sample from this research consisted of two classes, namely experimental class I which was taught using the guided inquiry learning model, totaling 29 students and experimental class II, which was taught using the Discovery Learning model, totaling 27 students. The results of data analysis show that the average learning outcomes of students using Guided Inquiry (80.69) are higher than the average learning outcomes of students taught using the Discovery Learning model (74.63) and the average scientific literacy activities of students using Guided Inquiry (79.15 ) higher than the average using the Discovery Learning model (73.72). Hypothesis results using the right-hand t-test and α = 0.05 obtained tcount > ttable (2.34 > 1.675) for students' scientific literacy activities and tcount > ttable (2.49 > 1.675) for student learning outcomes so that in this study the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H₂) is accepted. Thus, it was found that the Guided Inquiry learning model was better than Discovery Learning in improving scientific literacy activities and student learning outcomes on reaction rate material.

The aim of this research is to find out whether there is an influence of the use of problem and video based learning models on student interest and learning outcomes. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 14 Medan and the research population was all class. In the research, the pretest score was 34.85 and the posttest score was 80.28. Normality and homogeneity tests were carried out and the results showed normal distribution. In hypothesis testing using One Sample T-Test, a Sig.(2-Tailed) value of 0.002 was obtained. Therefore, a value of 0.002< α (0.05) means that the hypothesis is accepted, which shows that there is an influence of the use of problem-based learning models and videos on student learning outcomes in chemical bonding material. Meanwhile, for the results of student interest in learning, the average score obtained was 76.06 in the high category. This shows that there is an influence of the use of problem-based learning models and videos on students' learning interest in chemical bonding material.

This research aims to (1) determine the effect of using the Problem Based Learning model on student learning outcomes in reaction rate material (2) knowing the effect of using models Problem Based Learning on students' learning interest in reaction rate material. The population of this study were all students of class XI MIPA SMAN 14 Medan. The sampling technique was carried out random sampling, namely class XI MIPA 3 as an experimental class with 34 students. The results obtained are the average value of the experimental data class pretest and posttest is 37.50 and 79.85, which means it is higher than the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) value, namely 75. Data from the normality and homogeneity tests obtained normal distribution and homogeneous data. The results of the hypothesis test were carried out using one sample t-test at the significance level α = 0.05, earned value tcount 2.403 > ttable 1.692 with sig. (2 tailed) 0.022 < α = 0.05 so Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. Students' interest in learning in the experimental class obtained an average score of 77.02 with high criteria of 47.1% and medium criteria of 52.9%.

Science literacy in social life is a very important competence for students as it relates to their ability to link problems in science with their perspective as citizens. One of the logical consequences of the need for teacher professionalism in the presentation of chemistry learning is the teacher's ability to create the right learning strategies that fit the problems facing today's education world. The transfer of old learning methods to new ones is one way to solve the problem. The aim of this study is to find out whether the increase in HOTS literacy occurs when the PBL model is integrated with the iSpring Presenter media on the Reaction Speed material in class XI SMA. The research will also explain the most evolving HOTS element of literacy. This study is a Quantitative Descriptive Study using experimental methods with One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The results of the study showed that the literacy ability of HOTS students improved through learning with the PBL model with iSPring Presenter media, this was demonstrated through the t test obtained thitung values > tables (10,55 > 2,032245) with N-gain values of 0.7639 (76.39%).

The aim of this research is to analyze the level of satisfaction with distance learning chemistry during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection through a survey using google form to 449 respondents. The results of the analysis show that the COVID-19 pandemic has an impact on the level of student satisfaction, namely 18% very satisfied, 78% satisfied and 4% dissatisfied with distance learning chemistry. Students participate actively in taking chemistry lessons online. The distance learning system is not limited to being used during the COVID-19 pandemic, but can also be applied in normal conditions as modified learning with face-to-face learning.

This quasy-experimental research aims to determine the effect of Dart Board media in the Discovery Learning Model toward the motivation learning. The research design used was pretest - posttest control group design. The population in this study were students of class XI SMA Negeri 1 Soppeng who studied chemistry totaling three classes. Sampling used was simple random technique so as to obtain class XI 9 as an experimental group and class XI 10 as a control group. Data collection was done by giving motivation questionnaire at the beginning and end of the meeting. The results of descriptive statistical analysis obtained the average learning motivation value of the experimental group pretest of 73,5 and posttest of 80,83, and the control group pretest of 73,90 and posttest of 77,25. The results of the inferential statistical analysis at a significant level of 0,05 obtained Zcount> Ztable (2,62 > 0,65), then H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. Based on the test results it can be concluded that there is effect of Dart Board media in the Discovery Learning Model toward the motivation learning.

This research was carried out on the basis of the dominance of the use of lecture methods and the lack of use of learning tools in learning especially on Acid-Base material at SMAN 1 Purba. This research aims to (1) know significant influence between prior knowledge and LKPD on learning outcomes. (2) knowing the difference in learning outcomes between high initial knowledge and low initial knowledge. The population of this study were all class XI SMAN 1 Purba consisting of 3 classes by determining 1 class as the research sample, namely class XI-1 using purposive sampling techniques. This research uses multiple linear regression test and Independent Sample t-Test. Based on data analysis, values are obtained the average EPA is 78.24; 86.00; 72.62, average LKPD value is 78.82; 87.06; 74.12 and the average EHB value is 79.26; 88.97; 82.47. Observation data from the observation sheet the average value obtained was 82.06; 87.57; 82.50. Based on the multiple linear regression test, there is a significant influence between initial knowledge and LKPD on learning outcomes. Results Independent Sample t-Test There is a significant difference in learning outcome scores between students with initially high ability and students with low initial ability.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of e-LKPD assisted CTL learning on student motivation and learning outcomes. Samples were taken by purposive sampling as many as 2 classes, namely experimental classes and control classes. The instruments used were multiple choice tests and motivation questionnaires. Data on student learning outcomes and motivation were analyzed by right-side t-test and correlation test. Correlation test to see the relationship between learning motivation and learning outcomes. The results of the cognitive t-test obtained tcount > ttable (3.401> 1.668) which shows Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that there is an effect of the CTL learning model assisted by e-LKPD on the learning outcomes of students on acid-base material. The t-test results of learning motivation obtained tcount> ttable (2.191> 1.668) which shows Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that there is an effect of CTL learning assisted by e-LKPD on student learning motivation. The correlation results obtained tcount> ttable (0.495> 0.339) indicate that student learning motivation is positively and significantly correlated with student learning outcomes using CTL learning assisted by e-LKPD.

This research aims to determine the influence of weblog media using the problem-based learning model on student motivation and learning outcomes on thermochemical material. This research was conducted at SMAN 1 Percut Sei Tuan in the 2023/2024 academic year. Sample determination was carried out using a purposive sampling technique. The sample consisted of 2 classes, namely class XI-Matlanko 2 as an experimental class (30 students) which was taught using Weblog media and class The instruments used are test instruments to measure learning outcomes and non-test instruments to measure learning motivation. The results of this research indicate that there is an influence of using a weblog using a problem-based learning model on student learning motivation by testing the sig hypothesis. 0.00 < α (0.05) and there is also an influence of using a weblog using the problem-based learning model on student learning motivation with hypothesis testing sig. 0.00 < α (0.05). Apart from that, there is a correlation between learning motivation and student learning outcomes who are taught using weblog media using the problem-based learning model with sig. 0.00 < α (0.05) and Pearson correlation 0.953 with the high category.
