Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of the discovery learning model assisted by iSpring presenter media which is greater than the conventional model on students' chemistry literacy HOT abilities and aspects of developed HOTS literacy abilities. Three classes of class X pupils from SMAS Imelda Medan made up the study's population. Thirty students each from classes X MIA 2 and X MIA 3 made up the research sample. Nineteen multiple-choice questions made up the test instrument used in the study Hypothesis testing used the right-hand t test with the research results obtained by the value tcount > ttable (2.243 > 2.002) meaning that Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected, which means that the influence of using the discovery learning model assisted by iSpring presenter media on students' chemical literacy HOT abilities had a greater impact than using the conventional model. on redox reaction material with an N-Gain value of 0.75 (75.03%). Besides that, the HOT literacy skills acquired through the iSpring presenter media-assisted discovery learning paradigm were demonstrated in C5 reasoning with an 87.94% percentage in the redox reaction material.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of  application of Cycle 5E learning model with animation media at learner activities and learning results. The sample was taken by random sampling of 32 learners at experiment and control room. The research was carried out by providing pre-check, after which learning material by nonelectrolyte and electrolyte solutions were applied with the Cycle 5E learning model with animation media at experiment room and the Conventional model at control class, then the posttest. From statistic processing, the following results were obtained: the average activity of learners at the experiment room was 89.76 and the control room was 80.55 with > or 4.59>1.67. The average learning outcome of learners at the experiment room was 81.71 and the control room was 72.96 with > or 5.57>1.67. Correlation between learner activities and learning results of experiment room learners at the calculation rcount Retrieved rcount=0.583 While rtableat α=0.05 (N = 32) is 0.349. With an index determination of 0.33 with a percentage of 33%. This means that there is a correlation between learner activities and learner learning results learned by the Cycle 5E learning model with animation media at material by nonelectrolyte and electrolyte solutions.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in students' high-order thinking skills after the application of the discovery learning model integrated with generic science skills on chemical equilibrium material in class XI of SMA Negeri 5 Tanjung Balai. The sampling technique was carried out using the random sampling technique, namely taking one class randomly by drawing lots. The design of this study was a one group pretest-posttest design. In learning, the test instruments used were cognitive levels C1 to C6, namely multiple choice questions. Through hypothesis testing using one sample T-Test, data significance was obtained < 0.05 so that it can be concluded that Ha is accepted, which means that the average value of students taught with the discovery learning model integrated with generic science skills on chemical equilibrium material reached a minimum of 75.

Abstract

This study aims to develop teaching materials based on the IBL STEM model using the Wordwall application to improve students' critical thinking skills. The development model used refers to the ADDIE model with 30 students of the Chemistry Education Study Program, UNIMED as research subjects. The research instrument used an expert validation sheet and a test of students' critical thinking skills on stoichiometry material as many as 25 questions in the form of multiple choices. The results of the study indicate that teaching materials based on the IBL STEM model using the Wordwall application are feasible and effective in improving students' critical thinking skills in Stoichiometry learning. The feasibility is met qualitatively based on the assessment of material expert validators with an average total score of 4.36 (valid) and the assessment of media expert validators with an average total score of 4.32 (valid). Effectiveness is met based on the results of product implementation and evaluation results and is proven by statistical hypothesis testing (p < 0.05) with an average achievement of increasing students' critical thinking skills of 40.067 ± 9.318.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to ascertain how problem-based online modules affect students' learning results in acid-base chemistry and to determine the correlation of e-modules with motivation and student learning in acid-base materials at SMA Negeri 11 Medan. This research took a sample consisting of 1 group, namely the experimental group in class XI MIPA 6. Tests for normality, homogeneity, hypothesis, and correlation are used in data gathering procedures. After testing, the prerequisite is that the experimental data is normally distributed, for the homogeneous test the experimental class is homogeneous. To test the hypothesis, test is used One Sample T Test, and to test the correlation test is used Product Moment then the data results are obtained for the value hypothesis tcount > ttable, then Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected with the pret-test value in the experimental class, namely X and the post-test value in the experimental class, namely X, correlation test rcount > rtable, then Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. The findings indicated that learning results were different before and after receiving media therapy in the form of problem-based e-modules. Additionally, the relationship between students' motivation and the chemistry learning results in problem-based e-modules.

Abstract

The era of Industrial Revolution 4.0 encourages universities to utilize information technology. Learning industrial chemistry courses in maritime education is still conventional, with little time allocation. Apart from that, no digital-based learning resources comply with the IMO 7.04 standard. This research aims to develop a SETS (Science, Environment, Technology, and Society) based e-module Website for the Industrial Chemistry course according to IMO 7.04 standards, as well as analyze the feasibility of the product. This research method is R&D (Research & Development) using the ADDIE model but is limited to the development stage. Quantitative data is processed into interval data using a Likert scale. The research results show that the validation of material experts is 87.89% in the very valid category, and media experts are 91.67% in the very valid category. Limited trials on students showed a positive response 90.13% in the very good category. It is hoped that the development of this e-module can improve the quality of learning in maritime education.

Abstract

This research and development (R&D) aim to produce valid, practical and effective animated video learning media. The research subjects are divided into two parts, namely the first part of the product design validation subject or expert test conducted by 2 material experts and 1 media expert and the second part of the product trial subject conducted by testing the learning media in class XI IPA 3 and 2 class XI teachers of SMA Negeri 1 Gowa as observers. This learning media has been validated, has been tested limitedly and revised. The results of this study are: (1) validation by media experts of 3.4 with very valid criteria and (2) validation by material experts of 3.79 with very valid criteria. Animated video media based on the implementation test, teacher and student responses with an average percentage score of 88%, 86.11% and 86% respectively. For animated video media, the effectiveness criteria are in the very high category, with student learning outcomes meeting the effective criteria (≥80%), where the class completion percentage is 88.8%. Animated video learning media developed using the ADDIE model is suitable (valid, practical and effective) for use in learning.

Abstract

A Bibliometric analysis is essential to comprehensively evaluate the progress and impact of chemical education research. The purpose is to analyze the visualization of bibliometric mapping on the network between keys, the most frequently discussed topics, and recommendations for research opportunities on the topic of Chemical Education. This research is quantitative descriptive research with a bibliometric approach. The stages carried out include the data collection process, checking and refilling bibliographic attributes, then bibliometric analysis using VOS viewer software. Data collection is done by searching for Scopus indexed journal articles through Publish or Perish (PoP). Data from Publish or Perish (PoP) is filled in and completed in the author keywords section manually using desktop Mendeley software then integrated into the VOS viewer software for mapping. The results of the analysis of keyword mapping in Scopus indexed scientific articles from 2019-2024, it is known that in the last 5 years, in Scopus indexed journals there are 462 different keywords and form 2072 connecting lines and 35 clusters. The keywords with the strongest links based on VOS viewer include: chemistry education (27), first-year undergraduate/general (25), curriculum (22), general public (20), green chemistry (18), systems thinking (18), high school/introductory chemistry (16), upper-division undergraduate (14).
