Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of service quality ($X_1$) and sociodemographic characteristics ($X_2$) on patient satisfaction ($Y$) at the Wira Satya Polyclinic of the Mobile Brigade Unit, Yogyakarta Special Region Regional Police. Service quality and patients' sociodemographic characteristics were expected to influence their level of satisfaction with the healthcare services received. This study employed a quantitative method with descriptive and verificative approaches. The population comprised 375 patients who attended the Wira Satya Polyclinic of the Mobile Brigade Unit, Yogyakarta Special Region Regional Police, from August to December. The sample was determined using Slovin's formula with a 10% margin of error and selected through simple random sampling, resulting in 79 respondents. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed through multiple linear regression, t-tests, and an F-test with SPSS version 25. The results showed that: (1) service quality had a positive and significant effect on patient satisfaction ($p = 0.000 < 0.05$), with a partial contribution of 21.5% ($R^2 = 0.215$); therefore, H1 was accepted; (2) sociodemographic characteristics had a positive and significant effect on patient satisfaction ($p = 0.001 < 0.05$), with a partial contribution of 13.3% ($R^2 = 0.133$); therefore, H2 was accepted; and (3) service quality and sociodemographic characteristics jointly had a positive and significant effect on patient satisfaction ($p = 0.000 < 0.05$; $F_{\text{calculated}} = 42.828 > F_{\text{critical}} = 3.09$), with a simultaneous contribution of 53.0% ($R^2 = 0.530$); therefore, H3 was accepted. The remaining 47.0% was influenced by variables outside this study. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that improving service quality and understanding patients' sociodemographic characteristics can increase patient satisfaction at the Wira Satya Polyclinic of the Mobile Brigade Unit, Yogyakarta Special Region Regional Police.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of instructional videos on the ability to sew kasab thread in the Fashion Design course of Semester IV students of the Performing Arts Education Study Program. The background of this study focuses on the need for innovation in learning media in the era of globalization, where lecturers are expected not only to deliver material, but also to function as innovators in the field of education. Instructional videos are considered an appropriate solution because they can present visualizations of sewing steps that are clear, structured, and can be repeated according to student needs. The approach applied in this study was a quasi-experimental with quantitative methods, involving two classes with 24 students each. The experimental group used a learning video, while the control group used a traditional learning module. Data were collected through practical tests of sewing kasab thread with assessments on aspects such as technical accuracy, neatness of results, creativity, timeliness, density, and stitch strength. Data analysis was performed using t-tests and ANOVA with the help of SPSS version 21 software. The results of the study showed a significant difference in kasab thread sewing skills between students who received instruction with learning videos and without learning videos. The recorded significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 indicates that the null hypothesis must be rejected, which means that the use of learning videos has a real impact on improving kasab thread sewing skills. These findings prove that video-based learning media is very effective in improving students' practical skills and also contributes to the preservation of Acehnese culture through traditional clothing creations.

Abstract

Human trafficking is a form of crime that threatens human rights and negatively impacts social life (UNODC, 2024; IOM, 2023). Prevention efforts are not only carried out through law enforcement but also require the role of education in building legal awareness, humanitarian values, and the community's ability to recognize various forms of human trafficking (UNESCO, 2023; Kemendikbudristek, 2022). This study aims to analyze the role of education in preventing human trafficking in Indonesia and identify challenges in implementing prevention education in schools and communities. This study used a library research method with a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were obtained from laws and regulations, books, scientific articles, and other relevant documents. The results show that education plays a strategic role in improving legal literacy, shaping students' character, and instilling awareness of the dangers of human trafficking from an early age (Lickona, 1991; UNESCO, 2023). Integrating material on human rights, child protection, and the dangers of human trafficking into the learning process can increase students' awareness of various crime modes (UNICEF, 2023). However, the implementation of preventive education still faces various obstacles, such as limited teaching materials, a lack of educator competence, and minimal collaboration between educational institutions, the government, and the community (Kemendikbudristek, 2022). Therefore, curriculum strengthening, educator capacity building, and cross-sectoral collaboration are needed so that education can function optimally as a preventive strategy in preventing human trafficking in Indonesia.

This research employed a quantitative approach with an associative research design. The data used were secondary data obtained from the annual financial statements of food and beverage sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sampling technique applied was purposive sampling, resulting in 10 companies with a total of 50 observations during the research period. Data were analyzed using panel data regression with the assistance of EViews 12 software. The findings reveal that tax planning, deferred tax expense, and current tax expense simultaneously have a significant effect on earnings management. Partially, tax planning has a significant effect on earnings management. Deferred tax expense also has a significant effect on earnings management. Likewise, current tax expense has a significant effect on earnings management. These findings indicate that tax planning, deferred tax expense, and current tax expense are important determinants of earnings management practices in food and beverage sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2020–2024 period.

Abstract

A company website plays a crucial role as an information medium that provides profiles , services , and the latest information to the public . This study aims to evaluate the quality of the Galesong Group website (galesong.co.id) as an information medium using the GTmetrix and Google Lighthouse methods . The study used a quantitative descriptive approach by testing the website's homepage using both tools to obtain performance scores and Core Web Vitals metrics . The test results showed that the Performance score on Google Lighthouse was 58 ( moderate category ), while GTmetrix recorded a grade F with a Performance score of 25 % . Both tools consistently identified Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) and Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS) as the most critical issues , with LCP ranging from 2.5–4.5 seconds and CLS reaching 0.367, both exceeding the recommended threshold . The main factors causing these issues included excessive total page size ( 7.79 MB ) , unoptimized images , CSS resources that hinder rendering, and long- duration JavaScript tasks from third - party scripts such as live chat widgets . This study concludes that although the website scored well in the Best Practices category (92), significant optimization is still needed in image compression , JavaScript management , and layout stability to improve user experience and search engine visibility . These findings confirm that automated audit tools such as Lighthouse and GTmetrix are effective and complementary methods for evaluating the quality of a website as an information medium .
