Abstract

Commercial vehicles are a mode of transportation that plays an important role of the nation economy, so it is necessary to pay attention to their effectiveness and efficiency factors. Commercial vehicles have high effectiveness if they are able to send as many goods as possible, but the durability of vehicle components must be considered. One way to increase vehicle load capacity is by adding more slots leaf spring. This study aims to determine the effect of adding slot of leaf spring to the static strength of the rear suspension of Mitsubishi FE 71 110 Ps. This study discusses the static strength of three types of leaf spring arrangement, they are original leaf spring arrangement, the addition of a 700mm spring slot and an additional 1000 mm spring slot. The research was conducted by creating 3-dimensional design drawings and simulating static analysis using SolidWork software. The data sought are the stress and strain values ​​for each variation. The result is the maximum stress value of the original leaf spring arrangement of 14.58 x107 N / m2, an additional slot of 700 mm 21.80 x107 N / m2, and an additional slot of 1,000 mm 24.93 x107 N / m2.

Abstract

Currently the development of universities in Indonesia is very fast both in quality and infrastructure. To help increase the security of important items being carried, goods storage devices are needed. Storage tools are designed to help put things in so that they are comfortable and not afraid of loss. The design of the frame on the goods storage device by calculating the strength of the welded joint on the frame. The storage frame for the goods is designed in three levels with a size of 162 cm (length), 56 cm (width), and 168 cm (height). By using NDT analysis and the frame material used is rectangular perforated iron with a size of 30 x 30 x 1 mm. All loads on the frame including the cover plate of the frame are assumed to be 100 kg. Then the theoretical calculation is obtained the weld strength is 0,047N/. The calculation result is still below the safety figure.

Abstract

Scale is a collection of deposits that become crusted and can cover holes, production tubes and valves so as to block the flow of fluid. Scale can reduce the diameter of the production pipe and cause the fluid flow to decrease so that the amount of production is reduced. In addition, the existence of a scale can cause an increase in pressure in the pipe, if the scale is too large it can cause the production pipe to burst. For that we need treatment for the scale case that occurs, how to overcome and reduce the possibility of scale formation on the inside of the pipe. In the production facility, problems that can interfere with the distribution of crude oil (crude oil) are often encountered. This is generally caused by the formation of deposits (scale) along the distribution pipe. Scale is a solid (crust) resulting from crystallization and deposition of mineral formations with bacteria produced together with oil and gas. The scale formation is predicted because the bacteria contained in petroleum are attached to the distribution pipe to form crystal clumps.

Abstract

Teluk Lembu Gas Power Plant (PLTG) is one type of power plant that uses the power of burning fuel and high pressure air. To be able to meet the needs of electrical energy on the island of Sumatra, especially in the Riau region,electricity production must not experience a decrease in productivity due to equipment damage. Obstacles that arise are frequent downtime unexpectedresulting in the production of electricity is interrupted or even to cause derating caused by damage to the operational when the engine is running. This study aims to provide recommendations for equipment maintenance andtime intervals optimal inspectionin the generator system. The research method used is Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) withanalysis quantitative. Where are the stages of implementing the RCM method, namely determining thecomponents criticalin the PLTG generator engine, determining thevalues, determining the Mean Time to Failure (MTTF) and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR)time interval optimal maintenance, and making a table of causes of damage to thecomponents generator engine. After analyzing it, it was found that thecomponent criticalof PLTG Teluk Lembu is the Diesel Motor. This is obtained based on the component with the highest frequency of damage, namely 13 damage during a period of 1 year. From the results of data processing, it is obtained that the MTTF value is 0.92441 hours and the MTTR value is 0.89014 hours. Theinspection time interval optimalis 25 days, so it is advisable to carry out Corrective and Preventive maintenance activities for Diesel Motorcycles periodically every 25 days (PM 25D) in order to increase the reliability of the Diesel Motor

Abstract

The thing that underlies the existence of a website is the development of information and communication technology. This study aims to measure the Usability level of the Student Academic Information System (SIAM) Website at Universitas Muhammadiyah Riau. Some problems encountered were that there was no reusability evaluation of the UMRI SIAM website, as well as complaints from UMRI students when accessing the website. The reusability problem in this study was resolved by conducting usability testing with five dimensions proposed by Nielsen (1993), namely learnability, efficiency, memorability, error & user satisfaction when accessing the SIAM UMRI website and using the thinking aloud method which required 3-5 respondents. The subjects studied were expert users (UMRI students) and novice users (non-UMRI students). Based on the results of the analysis on the learnability dimension, it is found that the respondents have the ability to learn a good website. In the efficiency dimension, the results of the increase in the speed of completing tasks by the respondents are obtained. Furthermore, in the memorability dimension, the results show that the respondents have good memory ability. In the error dimension, there are 38 problems when accessing the SIAM UMRI website, and in the satisfaction dimension, the results of respondents' satisfaction when accessing the SIAM UMRI website are obtained with a score of 70. In addition, in this study there are recommendations for improving the SIAM UMRI website.

Abstract

Advertising services which include the process of creating, producing and distributing advertisements, one example of which is billboards used to help entrepreneurs in promoting goods and services sold in Pekanbaru. In the process of working on advertising media, especially in the cutting process using cutting tools in the form of circular saws and scroll saws. In the cutting process there are several obstacles that are often experienced by operators, cutting edges are difficult to find, the unit is expensive, cutting edges often break, dynamo power can drop dramatically, work takes a long time and operators feel tired, that's why it is necessary to design an acrylic cutting machine which can be used to meet the operators needs at work. The design method uses the Ergonomic Function Deployment (EFD) method. This method is a development of the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method. The stages in this research are introduction, identification, formulation, goal setting, method application followed by analysis and discussion, and finally conclusions, suggestions, and improvements. Based on the research, the variable results obtained from a closed questionnaire and processed using SPSS 16 software.

Abstract

The aircraft can fly as there is a thrust from the engine that causes the aircraft to have speed. The components of the aircraft engines are compressor, combustion chamber, turbine and propeller. High pressure turbine vanes is a component in the Hot section or turbine section that serves to direct the hot gas flow from the combustion chamber to the turbine. The purpose to be achieved in this research is to analyze and find out the cause of high pressure turbine vane damage and know the gas engine efficiency PW127. Cause of damage due to treatment not done according to the schedule until the phenomenon of overtemperature after combustion chamber and the content of impurities in the water laundering results. After the Brayton cycle calculation is obtained the temperature value of the turbine entry 1563oC (1836 K). These results exceed the turbine inlet temperature according to manual maintenance engine. Based on laboratory test, the content of 250 mg/m2 sulfur and 1800 mg/m2 chloride is obtained. This content causes damage by erosion or corrosion of high pressure turbine vane components. The value of gas efficiency is 42% according to the outside Air tempetarure. The thermal efficiency of gases will increase with increasing temperature conditions.

Abstract

The National Land Agency (abbreviated BPN in Indonesian) is a non-ministerial government institution that is under and responsible to the President and led by the Head (in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 63 of 2013). The problems that occur at the Pekanbaru Land Office in determining outstanding employees are only seen based on the results of the work they do, not based on the criteria for each employee. Therefore, this study was conducted to provide application in determining outstanding employees with more detailed results based on the criteria of each employee using several methods, including the Balanced Scorecard method and the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Based on the research results, it is known that based on the Balanced Scorecard method, the criteria to be used are Comprehension, Accuracy, Craft, and Discipline with the same highest value, namely 12.25. After that, each employee was assessed based on the criteria using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method with the highest score being DHEA with a value of 0.301.

Abstract

CV. Bimanda Elektronik is a company engaged in the sale of electronics. Based on a preliminary survey, which is a decline in sales every month in the 2019 period. The marketing strategy used by CV. Bimanda Elektronik at the moment is using word of mouth promotion. This research was conducted to identify and analyze the company's internal and external environmental factors that affect the marketing strategy of electronic product marketing and to design marketing strategies using the SWOT and QSPM methods. Based on the objectives, the company's main strength is the competitive market price with a score of 249 and the company's main weakness is not using a website or database system with a score of 0.092. While the main opportunity that the company has is the high consumer loyalty to the company's products with a score of 0.358 and the company's main threat is the number of substituted products with a score of 0.311. By using the SWOT and QSPM methods, there is a marketing strategy that can be used by companies, namely carrying out promotional and advertising activities to attract potential customers and expand the marketing area with a TAS score of 6.568.

Abstract

DMA (District Meter Area) Pondok Mutiara is the service area of ​​PDAM Kota Pekanbaru which is indicated to have a high level of water leakage due to the age of the pipes and the unstable land contours in the area, the problem now is that the PDAM does not know the actual leakage value, the purpose This study is to measure the value of leakage and look for leakage points with the steptest method, and make strategies to reduce water loss in DMA Pondok Mutiara by performing maintenance assets on a regular basis to minimize leakage in the DMA pipeline network, Making plans to re-arrange pipeline networks based on existing standardization (SNI 7511: 2011), conducts routine steptest activities so that they can monitor the level of real leakage and can be responsive in dealing with leaks. Based on research that has been done, the leakage value at Pondok Mutiara DMA is 2.66 liters / second and found 4 leak points, namely 1 leakage point in area 1, 2 leakage points in area 6, and 1 leakage point in area 7.
