Abstract

Conflict is an unavoidable phenomenon in nursing practice due to multidisciplinary interactions, high workloads, and the demands of healthcare services. Poorly managed conflict can decrease nurses’ job satisfaction and service quality, whereas effective conflict management can strengthen communication and team collaboration. This study aims to examine various interventions used in nursing conflict management and evaluate their effectiveness through a literature review. Article searches were conducted in the Garuda, SINTA, PubMed, Wiley Online Library, and BioMed Central databases with inclusion criteria consisting of full-text research articles published between 2019 and 2025 and relevant to nursing conflict management. Of the 93 articles identified, six met all inclusion criteria. The findings indicate that conflict management interventions improve nurses’ interpersonal communication skills, self-efficacy, readiness to face conflict, job satisfaction, team collaboration, and perceptions of patient safety. De-escalation training and violence prevention strategies also reduced uncivil behavior, incidents of workplace violence, and the use of physical restraints. Overall, effective nursing conflict management requires a multilevel approach involving individual skill training, organizational support systems, and the application of nursing theory to create a collaborative, safe work environment focused on patient safety and enhanced nurse job satisfaction.

Abstract

The use of digital services via the National Health Insurance (JKN) Mobile Application is an initiative to enhance the quality and efficiency of outpatient services. This study is to evaluate the efficacy of the JKN Mobile online service and its correlation with patient satisfaction at Malahayati Islamic Hospital, Medan. The study employed a cross-sectional design, utilizing accidental sampling to identify 60 respondents. The research instrument comprised a standardized questionnaire that evaluated service speed, convenience, internet network quality, and information. Univariate and bivariate analyses were conducted utilizing the Chi-Square test at a significance level of 0.05. The findings indicated that a significant proportion of respondents assessed the service as effective regarding speed (88.3%), convenience (85.0%), and information (80.0%), but 58.3% deemed the internet network inadequate. Patient satisfaction attained 80.0%. Bivariate analysis indicated a significant correlation between service speed and satisfaction (p=0.002; PR=16.429; 95% CI: 2.655–101.643). The ease of service was also significant (p=0.012; PR=7.857; 95% CI: 1.688–36.569). The information on health services exhibited the most significant impact (p=0.000; PR=22.000; 95% CI: 4.543–106.533). Simultaneously, the internet connection approached statistical significance (p=0.050; PR=4.600; 95% CI: 0.910–23.252) and exhibited a less persistent effect compared to the other factors. The findings affirm that process speed, application usability, and information clarity are pivotal in influencing patient happiness, whereas network quality necessitates focused attention to enhance digital service adoption. Hospitals must enhance the clarity of information and the efficiency of Mobile JKN services while improving network quality and internet availability to elevate patient satisfaction.

Abstract

Pregnancy is a physiological process that begins from conception to delivery. During pregnancy, physiological and psychological changes occur that contribute to sleep quality. Approximately 45–46% of pregnant women globally experience poor sleep quality, with the highest prevalence occurring in the third trimester. One effort to improve sleep quality in pregnant women in their third trimester is prenatal yoga. This study was conducted to examine the effect of prenatal yoga on sleep quality during pregnancy. This study used a pre-experimental, one-group pretest-posttest design, conducted from October to November 2025 at the Erna Wena BPM Padang. The study population consisted of all pregnant women in their third trimester at BPM Erna Wena. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, with 20 participants. The intervention consisted of prenatal yoga. The results showed an improvement in sleep quality for pregnant women after the intervention, with a p-value of 0.004. Prenatal yoga has a positive impact on sleep quality during pregnancy. This study is expected to serve as a reference for addressing sleep quality disorders during pregnancy. Further research with a longer duration and a larger sample size is recommended to strengthen the evidence of its effectiveness.

Abstract

HIV/AIDS is a disease that compromises the immune system and continues to pose a public health challenge, particularly among adolescents. Health education through social media platforms such as TikTok offers an engaging and accessible alternative for disseminating information to younger generations. Preliminary surveys reveal that only 30% of students possess accurate foundational knowledge about HIV/AIDS, while the remaining 70% demonstrate limited or incorrect understanding. This study aims to examine the impact of accessing TikTok as a health education medium on adolescents' knowledge and attitudes toward HIV/AIDS at SMAN 2 Pekanbaru. A pre-experimental design using a One Group Pre-test and Post-test approach was employed, involving 80 eleventh-grade students selected through purposive sampling. The study was conducted at SMAN 2 Pekanbaru ty in May 2025. The independent variable was the use of TikTok for health education, while the dependent variables were students’ knowledge and attitudes regarding HIV/AIDS. Data analysis was performed using the Wilcoxon test. The results indicated a significant difference in both knowledge (p = 0.001) and attitudes (p = 0.001) before and after the intervention, with the average knowledge score increasing from 3.09 to 8.88 and the average attitude score from 51.156 to 81.156. It can be concluded that utilizing TikTok as a social media platform is effective in enhancing adolescents' knowledge and attitudes toward HIV/AIDS. It is recommended that SMAN 2 Pekanbaru and healthcare institutions leverage social media, particularly TikTok, as an innovative medium for HIV/AIDS prevention education among youth.

Abstract

Postpartum depression is a common mental health disorder among mothers after childbirth. Early detection using the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS) is important, but factors contributing to high EPDS scores vary across populations and cultural contexts. This literature review examines studies from 2020–2025 on determinants of elevated EPDS scores in postpartum women. A review search of PubMed and Elsevier (ScienceDirect) using relevant keywords identified 560 articles, reduced to 448 after removing duplicates. Title and abstract screening produced 80 full-text articles, and 22 met the inclusion criteria: original research, publication in 2020–2025, use of the EPDS, participants ≤12 months postpartum, and English language. Findings show that high EPDS scores are associated with several risk factor groups. Psychological factors include antenatal anxiety or depressive symptoms, emotional stress, and a history of mental illness. Social factors involve limited partner or family support, marital conflict, and domestic violence. Obstetric and neonatal factors include pregnancy complications, cesarean delivery, postoperative pain, infant complications, and NICU admission. Behavioral and demographic factors such as not breastfeeding, formula feeding, low education, extreme maternal age, and low socioeconomic status also contribute. Routine EPDS screening and standardized cut-offs are needed to support early detection and prevention of postpartum depression across diverse cultural settings.

Abstract

Nutritional problems in toddlers are still a public health challenge in Indonesia. Factors such as exclusive breastfeeding, maternal employment, and family income contribute to the nutritional status of toddlers. This study aims to analyze the determinants of weight gain in toddlers in Boncah Mahang Village. A type of quantitative  research with a cross sectional design. The population is mothers with toddlers (ages 12-59 months), as many as 114 respondents. Data analysis used Chi square test and Logistic Regression. This research was carried out in Boncah Mahang Village, Bengkalis Regency. This research was conducted in May-June 2024. The method of collecting data through questionnaires, which was previously tested for validates and reliability on the questionnaire, the results of the study showed that there was an influence on education level, employment status, income, knowledge, and exclusive breastfeeding history significantly related to weight gain in toddlers (p < 0.05). The results of the multivariate analysis showed three dominant variables, namely employment status (Exp B = 7,695), income (Exp B = 3,560), and exclusive breastfeeding history (Exp B = 27,210). The predictive model produced showed that in the condition  that mothers do not exclusively breastfeed, have low income, and do not work, toddlers have a 99.99% chance of not experiencing weight gain. Maternal employment status, family income, and exclusive breastfeeding history are the main determinants of weight gain in toddlers. The results of this predictive model can be the basis for nutrition intervention planning and public health policies, especially in improving the nutritional status of children in rural areas.
