Abstract

This article aims to explain more about the background of Said Nursi’s thought, the epistemology of kalam thought, and the results of his kalam thought. This literature study uses a historical (historical), sociological and philosophical approach by extracting data and conducting content analysis. This study shows that: first, the science of kalam must be studied in depth to strengthen beliefs and fortify oneself from the attacks of material thoughts in the modern age, because the highest goal is faith in Allah swt and the noblest degree of humanity is knowledge of Allah swt. Second, Said Nursi’s monotheistic thinking goes beyond the discourse of monotheism and enters the realm of kalam. Therefore, this study uses the term monotheism-kalam. And third, Said Nursi’s tawhid-kalam thinking is closer to Muktazilah theological thinking, because it gives more portion to the use of logic. However, on the other hand, it also looks strong with Asy’ari theological thinking that clings to the text, and is also equipped with the influence of Sufistic thought which he really loves. Another finding is that Said Nursi’s monotheism-kalam thought is considered relevant in the context of diversity in Indonesia because it tends to get out of the kalam debate and eliminate the barriers of fanaticism of certain schools.

Abstract

Online media has a crucial role in the news reporting during the pandemic. Various case issues and changes in people's behavior are easily accessible through online news. This study aims to explain how the structure of the text is displayed in news texts about the implementation of PSBB or social mobility control at the closing ceremony of McDonald's. The research method used is a qualitative method with the technique of critical discourse analysis of the Teun A. Van Dijk model which includes 3 dimensions, namely the dimensions of text, social cognition and social context. The data are in the form of online news published in three different media, namely kompas.com, tempo.com and detik.com which were issued in May 2020 with the main theme "Penutupan McDonald di Gerai Sarinah Jakarta". The result of the study shows that there have been infringements of the PSBB implementation during the Covid-19 pandemic. The infractions are committed in the form of not wearing masks, and not maintaining social distance. Utilization of social cognition and access to influence the minds of readers through discourse are used by the news sources and journalists to build public awareness in supporting the implementation of PSBB. This can be seen in the used of suggestions and persuasive sentences.

Abstract

This research is qualitative in nature using an art history method approach to understand the symbolic visualization of the Cowong Banyumas doll using the iconology-iconography theory of Erwin Panofsky. The methods used are (1) topic selection (2) collection of written, artefact, and oral sources, (3) verification/critique of sources (4) interpretation in the form of analysis and synthesis, (5) writing of research results. The result of the research is a pre-iconographic description related to the textual aspects of the Cowong doll which is a work of art made from materials that exist in the daily environment of the Banyumas people, made with a form stylization technique with a decorative style. In the iconographic analysis related to the theme and concept of the Cowong doll, it is concluded that the Cowong doll is a form of communication media for life problems due to a long drought (prey for famine) so that it has an impact on the lives of the agrarian Banyumas people. In the iconological interpretation related to symbolic value, the Cowong doll is a medium created through the spirit of art with the embodiment of feelings, emotions, and actions to convey communication to the Almighty through objects from nature. In the Cowong doll, there are several interconnected systems namely between humans, ancestral culture, nature, and religion. This can be categorized as syncretism, which is something that is achieved from a process to process, unite, combine and harmonize several existing systems.

The four models are as follows: procedural, hierarchical, horizontal, and combination. By presenting this simple article, it is hoped that teachers can carry out learning activities effectively and efficiently by combining (an effort to combine several strategies in one learning time). So that the use of varied learning strategies will be able to create pleasant learning conditions

Abstract

The   research   examines two epics, one from the East and one from the West with regards to the question of woman and her images in early epic literature. The epics were selected from the literature. The epics were selected from the literature of two cultures, both of which, in different historical periods produced the most advanced civilizations of their time. The Persian epic, The Shahnameh (the book of Kings) was tooted in the ancient Indo-Iranian pagan as well as Zoroastrian traditions, an epic of approximately 60,000 couplets rewritten in the tenth century A. D. in the final, completed from which has reached us today. The Greek exemplar was the odyssey of Homer, epic with which Greek literature begins and widely influences not only the later periods of Greek literature but also the entire Western literature; this epic is also widely known in the East. Central to our study of The Shahnameh and Homeric epics were the themes of dynamism, the individuality of characters and their struggles in the epic world, the resourcefulness of the human mind ascribed to them, the subject of human crises, and irony, all of which are deep-seated components marking the central literary qualities of these epics. Women are indispensable in the early epics of both traditions and more often than not highly regarded by epic heroes in general and the narrators of the stories in particular. In both Eastern and Western example the structure split the female image in two opposite directions: one force is represented by exalted, praiseworthy, and positive images which also endow the women of The Shahnameh and the Homeric poems with powerful characteristics.

Abstract

This paper aims to examine how the development of an integrated criminal justice system in handling cases of violence against women and the role of legal philosophy in it. This research is normative legal research. This study concludes that the Continental European legal system influences the legal system in Indonesia, so procedural law is an administration of justice that provides guidelines for the working of the institutions involved in the adjudication process. Gender equality during the drafting of the Criminal Procedure Code has not yet become an important issue. This has an impact on the absence of an article formulation in the Criminal Procedure Code that accommodates the special interests of women dealing with the law, both as perpetrators and victims, especially women as victims of gender-based violence, even though many women who are victims of gender-based violence generally experience trauma from the events they experience. The concept of an Integrated Criminal Justice System for Handling Cases of Violence against Women (SPPT-PKKTP) was built as an effort to support the state to be able to carry out its constitutional obligations to fulfill women's human rights in conflict with the law, especially women who are victims of gender-based violence. Considering that the operation of the Criminal Justice System (SPP) is generally regulated based on the Criminal Procedure Code, to present the SPPT-PKKTP so that the criminal justice procedure law becomes a victim perspective, advocating the SPPT-PKKTP concept into the Draft Amendment to the Criminal Procedure Code is something that needs to be done. Philosophy of law is the basic foundation of legal science; it can explain that legal philosophy greatly protects the role of human rights, which guarantees the protection of women.
