Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the average growth rate in the value of total regional levies in Waropen Regency, the efficiency level of collecting total regional retributions in Waropen Regency, the effectiveness of collecting total regional levies in Waropen Regency during the period 2014 - 2020 and projected total receipts of Regency Regional Levies. Waropen in the future. The analytical tools used in this study include; Relative growth ratio, efficiency level, effectiveness and projection level. The data used are primary and secondary data. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that the realization of the total revenue of regional levies shows a positive growth ratio, with an average growth of 13.31% per year. Overall, the regional financial performance with respect to the total collection value of Regional Levies in Waropen district is included in the Efficient category, with an average efficiency level of 62.08% per year. The results of the measurement of the effectiveness level show that when compared to the total potential of regional levies in Waropen district, on average the percentage of realization of total regional levies during the observation period is only 63.22%. Referring to the financial performance criteria, the average percentage of 61.11% indicates that the level of management of total regional levies in Waropen district is in the "Less Effective" category. The average annual growth rate of the total target of regional levies in Waropen district is 13.97% per year, which is comparatively greater than the actual growth rate of the total revenue of regional levies which is only 10.90% per year. The gap is allegedly due to the regional prudence in setting the annual revenue target, which tends to be below the potential levy value. This is influenced by several determining factors such as: geographical conditions, the low level of public awareness in order to fulfill their obligations towards regional levies, the system and mechanism for collecting regional levies have not been optimally coordinated, and there is no application of strict sanctions against service users who do not pay off its obligations towards the payment of various components of the Regional Retribution.

Abstract

Barelang is an abbreviation of Batam Rempang and Galang. Areas with rapid economic growth by utilizing a strategic location, namely international shipping lanes. The development of the city which has the issue of the availability of raw water sources is a special concern for the central government in developing this area later in the future. Sources of water that come from rainwater feds are then accommodated in reservoirs that have been built in several areas. BP batam's efforts in building this infrastructure are still continuing by collaborating with the central and regional governments, namely the Batam city government so that this problem can be solved together for the sake of the progress of barrelang in the future. The indicators that measure the availability of raw water in the Barelang Region are reservoirs that have been built by the government until 2022, including: Baloi Reservoir, Sei Harapan Reservoir, Muka Kuning Reservoir, Duriangkang Reservoir, Tembesi Reservoir, Sei Ladi Reservoir, Monggak Reservoir and Sei Gong Reservoir. Although these reservoirs are already available, the need for water for the survival of the city is still not sufficient. BP Batam's strategy to address the need for clean water takes the following steps: Normalization of Existing Reservoirs, Construction of new reservoirs, Seawater Desalination, Recycle domestic waste treatment, Supply of raw water from surrounding areas namely Bintan Island, Lingga Island, Siak River and Kampar River.

Abstract

Environmental awareness is an issue that has never ended until now, both in the natural environment, social environment, and artificial environment. Global warming and crime rates that continue to increase are clear evidence that there are still many people who are not aware of the critical role of humans in protecting the environment. The film "Spirited Away" is one of the Japanese animated films that discuss environmental issues and won various awards, one of which was the Oscar award. This study aimed to determine the denotative meaning, connotative meaning, and the myth of environmental awareness in the Spirited Away film. This research is qualitative research with an interpretative paradigm. The results of this study show that seven scenes have the meaning of environmental awareness, such as globalization, the loss of cultural identity, destruction of the natural environment, global warming, capitalism, and human morals. Hayao Miyazaki's Spirited Away is a work inspired by actual events that happened to him. This shows that this Japanese animation conveys a message based on the reality of human life that is packaged using a Japanese cultural approach that can be used as an example for the world of cinema, especially animation in Indonesia, to produce original works that have deep meaning.

Abstract

Among several literatures that discuss organizational justice, research by Tjahjono et al. (2019) is a quite interesting study because it analyzes individual factors, namely social capital in the relationship between organizational justice and satisfaction and commitment. Based on a search through the publish or perish software, the Scopus-indexed research linking organizational justice and social capital from 2019 to 2020 is only research by Tjahjono (2019). Therefore, research related to organizational justice and social capital needs to be developed and explored again. This research is a critical review that specifically provides notes and reviews in articles written by Tjahjono (2019). The results of this study provide several notes that include recommendations for measuring variables that can be carried out by further researchers in discussing organizational justice, social capital and satisfaction. Furthermore, this study provides notes on research methods to be more in-depth as well as notes related to research results. It is hoped that this research can deepen discussions related to organizational justice, social capital and satisfaction and commitment. This research is also expected to be a reference in further research related to organizational justice and social capital.

Abstract

Every part of our work and lives has been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Companies, organizations, and institutions encouraged their employees to work remotely from home in response to national and local containment policies. This study analyses the impact of the employees’ job productivity and their ability to balance their work with their personal life during work from home (WFH). Most countries have made WFH a policy priority. The policies must be created with the practicality of both employers and employees in mind. However, the current situation offers a unique perspective on how well working from home may be done. Working from home has an impact on employee productivity, according to the findings of the study. While some of the factors have a positive or negative impact, the impact of others is depending on the employees' characteristics and attitudes, as well as the circumstances they face in their own home. This study uses primary data by gathering questionnaires from Indonesian telecommunication employees especially especially those that focus to manage the Corporate or Business to Business (B2B) segment, in order to understand their perspectives on working from home. The findings are assessed using SPSS Statistics and Partial Least Square (PLS) Smart software based on the 156 questionnaire sets gathered.
