Abstract

This article discusses the history of the formation of the city of Tarutung. This article answers the problem of how the city of Tarutung developed after the arrival of Western colonialism in the form of religion, military, administration and economy which encouraged the development of Tarutung City. This study uses the historical method through four stages: heuristics (collection of historical sources); verification (source criticism); interpretation (historical analysis and interpretation); and historiography (writing history). Sources as historical data obtained from a number of documents and literature from the colonial to post-colonial period. This study found that the existing Tarutung city was formed into a traditional city which was used as a trading center from a durian tree that grew in the middle of the village with the Batak Toba socio-culture that was implemented before the arrival of Western colonialism. The arrival and colonial influence made the identity of Tarutung City begin to develop both in terms of social, economic, and cultural aspects while maintaining the traditional cultural elements that still exist.

Abstract

Islam is a religion of rahmatan lil'alamin, in which various kinds of religious laws have been regulated, ranging from social issues to spiritual issues, where legal issues relating to humans are wrapped in a scientific discipline, namely the science of fiqh. This phenomenon can be seen clearly from the works of previous scholars, in which one of the problems of Islamic law is worship, mu'amalat munakahat and jinayat or in fiqh it is called rubu 'systematically structured science, this paper discussing the science of fiqh and the factors for the occurrence of differences of opinion among the imams school, the author uses a qualitative methodology using a historical opproach approach in order to provide data validity about the development of fiqh science. History records that fiqh has appeared since the time of Rasulullah SAW (fiqih waqi’ amali) and the time of the Companions. Fiqh developed gradually and preodised until it became a discipline rich in its ushul fiqh methodology. The main factor in the emergence of differences of opinion among the Imam of the Schools was due to their differences in translating Nash Al-Qur'an and Hadith as well as legal issues that were not contained in the Nashnya in the Al-Qur'an or Hadith by focusing on one discipline of Ushul Fiqih through the istimbat methodology through the Ijtihad of each Imam School. The relationship between fiqh and human deeds is always contaminated and cannot be separated from the problem of worship, because humans began at the time when they were subjected to the law of syara ', like it or not, humans have to deal with legal issues (khitabullah). The essence of human need is to get a life that is truly holy in the world and the hereafter, when viewed from the real side of life, humans need a life that is safe, peaceful, prosperous, just and safe. This can be felt and enjoyed if the human has knowledge.

Abstract

The onomatopoeia discussed in this article is specifically those of the Javanese words, such as the words used in Javanese magazines, Djaka Lodang (DJ), Panjebar Semangat (PS), and Jaya Baya (JB). The described Javanese onomatopoeia words were adjusted to the formation process according to Brandstatter's theory, the onomatopoeic elements can, therefore, be identified. The Javanese onomatopoeic words were analyzed based on qualitative methods, by referring to two techniques of data analysis (Sudaryanto's method), namely the technique of directly comparing the linguistic elements (which Sudaryanto termed agih), and comparing the elements of language with elements outside the language (‘padan’ equivalent), such as utterances or articulators. The onomatopoeic elements in a number of words can be explained based on the formation of root words derived from sound imitation, the type of sound moving objects and its phonestemic aspects, such as the opposition of the size of the sound, and so forth. In this study there are several types of sound imitation, such as sounds of bursting, friction, rounding, rolling, throwing, falling, slapping, opening-closing sounds, coming out- coming in sounds, absorption sounds, etc. This article provides an evidence for the richness of the Javanese words in terms of the sound imitation. Therefore, not only Japanese and Korean are identical to onomatopoeia, the Javanese language spoken in the Island of Java, Indonesia is quite rich with onomatopoeia, especially the secondary one. In addition, the results of this study will hopefully be beneficial for those doing similar studies.

Abstract

The agricultural sector is one of the potential commodities in business at domestic and abroad, local farmers in the West Java area are trying to run the best farming system that is adapted to market needs. Conventional farming systems that require large tracts of land, the availability of farmer labor and the length of time for harvesting are obstacles for local farmers to expand their businesses and increase their production yields. A concept in the agricultural system that is different from conventional agriculture yet can be used by local farmers at this time is hydroponic farming. Hydroponic farming that uses water as a planting medium can be implemented anywhere such as urban areas because it does not require large tracts of land. One of the hydroponic techniques that is currently developing is the NFT or Nutrient Film Technique which can be applied in the highlands and lowlands. This system can provide quality harvests. The NFT system provides added value for farmers by increasing farmers' knowledge about the hydroponic farming system and increasing agricultural commodities produced, through this system the farmers can run their farming business on land that is not extensive in urban areas. The commodities produced are of high quality because they are environmentally friendly, with efficient fertilizer, water and the use of non-pesticide ingredients. In fact, this hydroponic system requires a large enough cost to purchase material, regardless of the greater quantity of harvest and shorter harvest time. Increasing the quality and quantity of agricultural products encourage local farmers to run a hydroponic system in meeting market needs so that they have high economic value and can improve the welfare of local farmers.

Abstract

This study aims to see the relationship between job satisfaction and employee commitment at PT. Barumun Agro Sentosa. The subjects in this study were employees aged 30-40 years with a length of work 4 to 10 years totaling 44 employees. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using two scales, namely the scale of job satisfaction and the scale of employee commitment. Data analysis uses the product moment correlation technique (rxy) which is 0.424 with P = 0.000 <0.05, meaning that there is a positive and significant relationship between job satisfaction and employee commitment, which shows that the higher the employee's job satisfaction, the higher the employee's commitment. On the other hand, the lower the job satisfaction, the lower the employee commitment. Employee job satisfaction in this study is high because (empirical mean = 108.53.> hypothetical mean = 90 where the difference exceeds SD= 2.050). And employee commitment is also high, because (empirical mean = 102.28.> hypothetical mean = 92.5 where the difference exceeds SD = 3.110). The coefficient of determination from the correlation is R2 = 0.331. Job satisfaction contributes to employee commitment by 33.1%. The results of this study are in accordance with the hypothesis with the results of research in the field.
