Abstract

Social studies and social sciences are interconnected. Both are related to basic human needs, then these basic needs can be achieved by basic human activities. Basic human activities include education, production and consumption, organization and government, protection and maintenance, aesthetics and recreation. All of them build social sciences. In the social sciences, it is classified into fields of science which include, among others, history, economics, political science, law, geography, anthropology, and social psychology. And in it there are facts, concepts, generalizations that were developed to build Social Sciences (IPS).

Abstract

The principal's leadership is very effective in increasing teachers' work motivation in carrying out their responsibilities and impacting the quality of education. The study aimed to determine the principal's leadership in improving teacher professionalism and the supporting and inhibiting factors at SD Nitikan Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. This research is descriptive qualitative, data collection through interviews with purposive sampling technique, observation, and documentation. Sand sources of data from school principals and teachers amounted to 25 people. The results of the research on the principal's strategy to improve the quality and professionalism of teachers are to motivate, encourage and organize seminars/training related to knowledge and understanding of the development of information technology, reward, and punishment for teachers. In addition, school principals strive to meet content standards, process standards, graduation capacity standards, facilities and infrastructure standards, management standards, funding standards, teacher and staff standards, and teacher education standards and standards. While the supporting factors are providing equal opportunities for teachers to develop their pedagogical and professional capacities by participating in various teaching and training activities, based on knowledge and adapted to needs and budget allocations. The inhibiting factor is the lack of internal motivation due to busy teaching time for priority reasons.

Abstract

This journal reviews the Diagnostic Analysis of the Phenomenon of Sexual Violence in Schools. This study aims to describe the portrait, analysis, and prevention of sexual violence in schools. Library research or library research is the method used. Using the literature as a kind of data collection, the materials sought are pre-selected and checked. To collect data in this study from journals, books and other sources about sexual violence against minors in schools. The results of this study are portraits, analysis, and prevention of sexual violence against children. Sexual violence in the world of education is currently being hotly discussed, sexual violence that occurs ranging from violence perpetrated by educators against students, violence perpetrated by students against teachers, and violence among peers. The occurrence of sexual violence is caused by two variables which include internal variables and external variables. Internal variables consist of psychological, biological, moral and revenge factors. Then external variables include cultural, economic, and mass media factors. Prevention of sexual violence against children in schools, namely prevention of sexual violence in schools by providing sexual violence psychoeducational outreach programs to teachers, students and parents. What the government must do to handle sexual violence in schools is to establish strict regulations governing violence against children, imposing sanctions.

Abstract

From empirical facts, it is stated that the majority of students in Indonesia do not like mathematics. This is based on literature studies from various journals that new methods for understanding mathematics continue to be developed to improve the quality of education in Indonesia, one of which is the application of realistic mathematical methods. The research method used is qualitative by accumulating various literature studies to obtain comprehensive data. In general, understanding mathematics is only based on memorizing formulas and practicing questions. This is different from the concept of applying realistic mathematical methods which will quickly build understanding of mathematics lessons. The systematic application of realistic mathematical methods will then be discussed in this paper.

Abstract

The impact of the Covid-19 outbreak on the education sector is the learning process that must be carried out online during the outbreak. However, over time, the Covid-19 outbreak began to subside and the learning process began to be carried out face to face. In this study, it discusses student perceptions of face-to-face learning after online learning. The research design used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques using interviews and observation. The results of the study showed that offline learning is more attractive to students because it is easy to implement and offline learning gives them a wider space so that they are more flexible in discussions and ask questions of educators and peers.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether or not there is an influence of the zoning system on the learning motivation of students of SDN 002 Aralle. This type of research is classified as quantitative non-experimental research. The population in this study were students of SDN 002 Aralle with a total of 160 students and the sample used was students of SDN 002 Aralle. (slovin formula). The research method used in this study is to use non-experimental quantitative. The data collection technique used is to use a questionnaire with measurements using a likert scale. The data analysis techniques used are (1) Descriptive test (2) Normality Test (3) Hypothesis Test. The results of this study show that (1) The implementation of the zoning system for admission of new students at SDN 002 Aralle is in the moderate category (2) The level of learning motivation of students of SDN 002 Aralle is in the good category (3) The zoning system has a negative and significant effect on the learning motivation of students of SDN 002 Aralle

Abstract

In an effort to boost the learning motivation of high school elementary school students, the teacher's efforts to leave this learning open at the end of the PKN semester. Understanding and improving student learning outcomes in PKN learning can be supplemented by increasing learning motivation. The aim of this study was to identify teacher tools to increase the learning motivation of high school elementary students during PKN classes. This study uses a qualitative case study methodology. The method used to gather information for this study is called objective sampling. In this research instrument, the researchers themselves collected data using observation techniques, questionnaires, and document analysis. Data analysis techniques use data collection, editorial, display, and conclusion steps. The guarantor of the validity of the data in this third study combines the method of collecting data by combining triangulation. The results of the study indicated the need for greater motivation to teach high grade students during Internship classes. One of the factors that causes students' learning motivation to be lower than it should be is their exposure to less than ideal learning environments and less than ideal teaching methods. Therefore the advice given by the teacher to increase student learning motivation is to use teaching strategies that can do this. This includes offering counselling services and using ice-breaker activities such as games and ice hockey.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to find the influence of Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (GLS) towards students’ reading interest in fourth grade of SDN 2 Landungsari. By applying 15 minutes reading before learning, this research was expected to increase students’ reading interest which was still categorized as low. The research method used was descriptive quantitative with associative approach. Fourth grader students of SDN 2 Landungsari was the population of this research consist of 17 students. This research was using population study which the subject was the whole population of fourth grader students of SDN 2 Landungsari. The data collected by distributing multiple choice and essai Pre-test and Post test questions. The data was analyzed by using ANOVA simple linear regression analysis in SPSS 25 for Windows. The result shows that there was a significant effect from Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (GLS) on increasing students’ of fourth grade reading interest at SDN 2 Landungsari, Dau, school year 2022/2023.

Abstract

This article aims to determine the relationship between numeracy literacy and learning outcomes in schools, especially in elementary schools. The method used in this research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The results of the study show that numeracy literacy has a relationship that influences each other on student learning outcomes, because with students understanding and being able to use skills in managing numbers and symbols properly, learning outcomes especially in mathematics can be further improved than before. In addition, numeracy literacy skills can also improve the ability to solve problems related to numbers, tables and symbols in everyday life. Thus, it can be concluded that numeracy literacy has a very influential relationship with student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study has the objective of explaining the relationship between parental divorce and the learning motivation of elementary school students. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study approach. Data collection techniques are carried out by gathering sources related to the topic raised. Data analysis was carried out by reducing data, analysing and synthesizing linkages and interpretations according to the research objectives. So that the results obtained are that the divorce of parents has a negative influence on elementary school students, namely: 1) giving less affection from both parents, 2) achievement and low enthusiasm for learning, 3) low self-confidence and social skills, and 4) Self-regulation is also low. Divorce has a bad influence on the social environment, life and motivation and student achievement. Children's emotions are so influential on children's learning activities, such as feelings of joy, security, fear, anxiety, anger and sadness.
