Abstract

This study aims to determine how student’s perceptions in the implementation of limited face-to-face learning (PTMT) and also the use of learning technology at STAI Al-Musdariyah Cimahi. The population and samples were taken from Arabic students at STAI Al-Musdariyah Cimahi city with a total number of 29 students. This research was qualitative research with descriptive method and the data were analyzed using data source triangulation technique. The findings of this study: 1) lectures were carried out online and offline based on the results of distributing questionnaires as many as 58.6% of students determine that the implementation of learning was carried out online & offline or blended learning, 34.5% of students preferred offline learning and as many as 6.9 % set for full online. 2) learning technology used as a means of online learning, namely WhatsApp as learning monitoring, Zoom as face-to-face learning, YouTube as a media for learning Arabic. While offline learning uses projector and language labs as learning support. Based on the results of learning Arabic, it can be seen that STAI Al-Musdariyah has implemented some of the government's recommendations to facilitate learning by applying limited ace-to-face learning (PTMT) and learning technology

Abstract

Having religious diversity is a big challenge for people in Indonesia. Welcoming a moderate attitude in religion is currently an important role for every educational unit to create a religiously tolerant society. For this reason, this research was conducted with the aim of measuring and seeing how religious moderation among millennials and millennials' perceptions of the important role of education in creating religious moderates are. To measure and obtain data, researchers conducted a survey of millennial respondents with various professions as many as 80 respondents representing the millennial generation. Data was collected by distributing a questionnaire using the google form platform as many as 14 questions were asked according to the indicators. Then the data is analyzed using triangulation of data sources, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and then draw conclusions. The findings in this study indicate that religious moderation from the perspective of the millennial generation in Indonesia is quite good. This is indicated by several indicators of religious moderation, the millennial generation has shown a commitment to nationalism, tolerance, anti-violence and can accept the local culture.

Abstract

Technological capabilities in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 can facilitate the learning process. However, some Arabic language education students at Jambi University still find it difficult to learn Arabic and decide to change majors. This study  finds out how the problems, opportunities, and roles of the Arabic language during the industrial revolution 4.0 in the Arabic language education study program at  Jambi University. This research is a descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques: a) observation; b) interviews; and c) documentation. Meanwhile, data analysis techniques include: a) data reduction; b) data presentation; c) conclusions. Triangulation and discussion has been use to validate the data. The results show that: a) the problems of learning Arabic, such as: 1) differences background for the students; 2) students are less interested in learning Arabic; 3) no Arabic speaking environment; and 4) lecturers have not mastered technology; b) opportunities: the ability to speak Arabic provides an opportunity to get or create jobs not only in the education sector, but also in other sectors; while c) the role of Arabic is one of international language, diplomatic communication between countries in various fields, and learning knowledge from original Arabic sources.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the contextual teaching learning (CTL) method through zoom in improving Arabic speaking skills during Covid-19. This type of research is quantitative research with an experimental approach using a series of research the one-group pretest-posttest design. The object of this research was the 3rd-semester students of Islamic Education at the State Islamic Institute Kerinci. The research technique was carried out using tests and observations. The results showed that the significance value of 0.000 <probability 0.05 then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Also, there is a significant difference in the mean learning outcomes between the pretest and posttest with the mean paired differences of -18,500. These results indicate the average learning outcomes between pretest and posttest 59.56 - 78.06 = -18,500 and the difference between these differences is between -20,618 to -16,382. From these results, it was explained that the contextual teaching learning (CTL) method through zoom was effective in improving the Arabic speaking skills of 3rd-semester students of Islamic Education at the State Islamic Institute Kerinci.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

This research aims to determine students' processes and perceptions of Arabic learning skills using the role-playing method. The population in this study was 18 grade 10th students at MAS Mamba'ul Ulum Jambi. This research is qualitative research with a descriptive method. The data was collected by observation, interview, and documentation. The researcher analyzed the data using triangulation techniques. The process is a teacher appoints 2 or 3 students to a group, divides the roles, and instructs other students to pay attention. The advantages are: a) students enjoy learning using the role-playing method, b) students easy to memorize vocabulary, and c) there is an increase in students' Arabic-speaking learning outcomes with a score of 62.77 increasing to 84.72 after learning using the role-playing method. However, the researcher also finds a drawback, namely that it takes a long time to implement and disturbs other classes because the class becomes noisier.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation, supporting, and inhibiting factors for the MBKM program in the Arabic Language Education Study Program, Jambi University. The Ministry of Education and Culture has initiated a new university program, namely Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) to prepare superior and competitive human resources in the 4.0 revolution era. The research method employs field research, which includes qualitative research. Research data collected from primary data and secondary data sources and the data collection techniques using documentation, observation and interviews. This research uses the process of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions to analyze the data. The finding shows that: 1) the implementation of MBKM at the Jambi university is still not going well because it still finds confusion in the process, so it is necessary needs adaptations related to the curriculum and facilities, 2) the supporting factors are the willingness and enthusiasm of the educators and students as seen from their cohesiveness in preparing for the establishment of MBKM, while 3) the inhibiting factor is the need to get a lot of MoU from various institutions. In addition, there are other challenges, namely the readiness and skills of students to teach and guide in schools. This means that students must be part of strengthening learning and numeracy.

Abstract

Singing and deep talk are essential in learning because they stimulate emotions, strengthen social bonds, and deepen understanding and retention or the material. This study aims to discover strategies to motivate students to learn Arabic with singing and deep talk at the OCEAN Pare course institution. This study used a descriptive qualitative research method. The data were collected through classroom observation, semi-structured interviews with two purposively selected teachers and two students involved in the learning process, and analysis of relevant documents such as lesson plans and student assignments. Furthermore, the researcher analyzed the data through several steps, namely a) data reduction, b) data presentation, c) describe conclusions, and d) verification. The findings showed that singing and deep talk motivated students in learning Arabic. The increase in learning outcomes from an average of 30 to 80 indicated that there was improvement in learning. The benefits of integrating singing and deep talk: a) Increases learning motivation, b) Strengthens long-term memory, c) Develops listening and speaking skills, d) cultural understanding, e) Builds confidence in speaking Arabic, and f) Makes the learning process more fun and dynamic. The increase in learning outcomes from an average of 30 to 80 showed that  there was improvisation learning. This study contributed to understanding innovative strategies in language education by highlighting the unique combination of singing and deep talk as effective tools that enhanced student motivation, engagement, and proficiency in learning Arabic an approach that had been rarely explored in previous studies.
