Abstract

Kemampuan seseorang dalam apresiasi foto menjadi lebih baik bila menguasai banyak aspek teknis dan non-teknis fotografi. Sisi artistik saja belum cukup kuat untuk membuat foto tersebut menjadi menarik. Tanpa kemampuan teknis, seorang fotografer menghasilkan foto tanpa kualitas maksimal. Sebaliknya, tanpa sentuhan seni, foto yang dihasilkan tentu tanpa rasa. Kekuatan sebuah foto dibangun oleh sejumlah unsur, yakni, pilihan objek, cahaya, komposisi, angle dan momen. Fotografer perlu untuk mengkaji obyek, menyeleksi, memilih dengan mendekatkan atau menjauh, mencari posisi untuk mendapatkan angle yang baik serta menunggu momen. Obyek studi penulisan ini adalah karya fotografi fine art karya Hengki Koentjoro dengan teknik long exposure. Secara umum, fine art photography didefinisikan sebagai gabungan karya seni dan fotogarafi yang dilakukan dengan kecermatan, ketelitian, presisi, dan perhitungan matang. Dimulai dari ide, konsep, pra-visualisasi, pengambilan gambar, penerapan teknik, termasuk keahlian mencetak gambar. Teknik long exsposure mengacu pada shutter speed yang lama, yakni teknik khusus untuk mengambil foto dengan membuka shutter kamera untuk waktu yang lama. Hal ini memungkinkan lebih banyak cahaya memasuki kamera sampai shutter tertutup. Secara teknis, kamera membaca lebih banyak data dari subjek, mengumpulkan detail-detail, dan menciptakan efek blurring pada subjek yang bergerak. Ada banyak cara membuat efek blurring yang dapat digambarkan dalam fotografi, hanya praktek dan eksperimentasi yang memungkinkan untuk memahami dan memprediksi efek long exposure dalam kaitannya dengan waktu dan gerak.Kata kunci : fine art, long exposure, fotografi, lansekap, Hengki Koentjoro AbstractA person’s ability in appreciating a photo  tends to be better when using many aspects of technical and non-technical photography. Sometimes the artistic side is not strong enough to make a photo looks interesting. Without technical ability, a photographer produces images without maximum quality. Without a touch of art, the resulting picture is certainly without taste. The power of a photo is built from different elements, such as  the choice of objects, light, composition, angle and moment. A photographer also has to examine and select an object,  find a good position and angle, and wait for the moment. This research focuses in studying Hengki Koentjoro’s fine art photography with long exsposure technique. Like a piece of art, fine art photography was done with precision, precision, precision, and mature calculations. Starting from idea, concept, pre visualization, shooting, application of technique, including the skill of photo printing. Long exsposure is a special technique to take photos by opening the camera shutter for a long time. This allows more light to the camera until shutter is closed. Technically, the camera reads more data from the subject, a collection of details, and the effect is blurring on a moving subject. There are many ways to create blurry effects in photography, only practice and experimentats that allow viewers  to understand and predict the effect of long-exposure shoots, in its relation with time and motion.Keywords : fine art, long exposure, photography, landscape, Hengki Koentjoro

Abstract

The development of the advertising world is now increasingly innovating in creativity. Advertising is a reflection of the image of a company, of course, the concept of creativity refers to the character of the company so that the delivery of messages can arrive according to the positioning of the mind of the audience. Various products and services have their strategies to strengthen their positioning. One of them is an application-based company called GO-JEK.GO-JEK  in its advertisement carries the theme of floral arrangements with the slogan #AnakBangsaBisa. In commemoration of the 73rd independence day of the Republic of Indonesia, GO-JEK  expressed its gratitude to the sons and daughters of the nation who had inspired and succeeded in bringing Indonesian names to the ends of the world, even into space. This was revealed through the site and billboards themed flowers.This study aimed to study the GO-JEK floral arrangement advertising design as a creative element of speech culture through floral arrangements in the advertising world. The method in this study is descriptive qualitative, which will examine the concept of visual strategy design in the advertisement applied by GO-JEK by reviewing the visual appearance related to color, the shape in the form of fields, illustrations, typography, icons/symbols, and layouts used. Output targeted in the study, the results of the research can be published in national-level journals.Based on the above, the research reviews the GO-JEK advertisement version of the visual strategy of GO-JEK, to appreciate the development of contemporary advertising content, especially developments in the advertising world.

Abstract

Ringkasan Rumah adat Cikondang di kampung Cikondang desa Lamajang Kec.Pangalengan Kabupaten Bandung. dibangun sekitar abad ke-16, dan mengalami kebakaran di tahun 1942. Rumah adat ini hanya satu-satunya yang tersisa dicikondang, sehingga dilindungi dan telah menjadi situs cagar budaya arsitektur khas sunda. Pada berbagai paparan data menjelaskan rumah adat cikondang dan kehidupan masyakatnya,  namun paparan secara terukur dan detail bentuk fisik arsitektur belum ditemukan. Menurut data dan narasumber bahwa rumah adat yang hanya tersisa satu inipun tidak akan dibangun kembali.  Bahasan bertujuan menggambarkan bentuk sirkulasi udara dari bumi adat Cikondang berupa sketsa gambaran detail seperti jendela, jalosi dan kisi-kisi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan analisis deskriptif yang didukung dengan observasi studi di lapangan dan studi literatur. Pada bangunan rumah adat Cikondang ini adalah menggunakan cross ventilation . Tiap sisi bangunan menjadi udara masuk dan keluar. Jendela kayu bisa mengatur besar-kecilnya volume udara dengan buka-tutup jendela. Material bangunan yang berbahan alami yang diambil dari hutan keramat. Bangunan yang berbentuk panggung mampu menjaga suhu di dalam ruangan. Abstract Cikondang traditional house in Cikondang village, Lamajang village, Pangalengan district, Bandung regency. was built around the 16th century, and experienced a fire in 1942. This traditional house is the only one left dicikondang, so it is protected and has become a cultural heritage site typical of Sundanese architecture. In various explanations, the data describes the cikondang traditional house and the life of the community, but the measured exposure and details of the physical form of architecture have not been found. According to the data and informants that the traditional house that is left only this one will not be rebuilt. The discussion aims to describe the form of air circulation from the Cikondang customary earth in the form of a detailed sketch of a picture such as a window, jalosi and grid. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with descriptive analysis that is supported by observations of field studies and literature studies. The shape of circulation in cikondang traditional house is using cross ventilation. Each side of the building becomes air in and out. Wooden windows can adjust the volume of air with open-close windows. Building materials made from natural materials taken from sacred forests. The building in the form of a stage is able to maintain the temperature in the room.

Abstract

Nowadays, the government is trying to improve the quality of the tourism sector in Indonesia. The government has built a lot of supporting facilities for tourists both local and foreign. However, the case of lost mountain climbers is still common. In this research, there will be a discussion about the sign system that provides people with information in Gunung Gede Pangrango Nationa Park. This study is also discussing a little about the natural conditions on some of these mountains.The study was conducted by direct observation of the climbing site to see and analyze directly the existing sign system. In addition, a number of statistical data will be collected from the management by means of a short interview which will be used as supporting data or secondary data in the study. This research is a qualitative study by conducting a literature study. This literature study was carried out during the sign system analysis process.Placement of signs, legibility and the durability of materials in extreme mountain weather conditions are the aspects to be analyzed based on the science of Visual Communication Design. This research was conducted so that the manager, both local and government, are able to give more attention to the application of the sign system along the climbing track so that it can help reduce the possibility of a climber getting lost.

Seiring dengan semakin meningkatnya  pariwisata di daerah Bali melahirkan banyak berkembangnya property bisnis perhotelan.Salah satunya pembangunan Rosemoon Boutique Hotel Bali yang masih dalam tahap perencanaan Interior.Kajian Estetika Pengolahan Kain Gringsing sebagai elemen dekoratif pada Perencanaan desain Rosemoon Boutique Hotel bali merupakan penelitian yang membahas tentang penerapan estetika motif kain gringsing yang bertujuan bagaimana penerapan motif tenun gringsing baik dari sisi motif , fungsi maupun arti simbolik ditransformasikan implementasinya pengolahan motif kain gringsing   pada  berbagai elemen dekoratif perencanaan interior Rosemoon Boutique Hotel Bali . Penerapan transformasi bentuk motif harus melalui pendekatan estetis sesuai dengan kaedah estetika desain. Dari hasil penelitian ini sesuai dengan kaedah perencanaan desain interior yang menyatakan bahwa keindahan memiliki tiga unsur, yaitu komposisi,proporsi dan warna pada material.

Abstract

Identity is a characteristic or to the repertoire of a place, which makes someone recall and wants to visit again where they are intended because it has differences with other places because it has character and uniqueness. Identity is a very important fundamental thing. This is because identity is something that is used to recognize, distinguish a place from another place Kevin Lynch, good city form (1984; 131). According to RI Minister of Home Affairs regulation No. 4 years old 1980, the City is a place that has administrative boundaries such as municipalities and administrative cities. The city also means an urban living environment that has non-agrarian characteristics, for example, the district capital, the capital of the sub-district which functions as the center of growth. One that has these characteristics is the city of Bandung, the city of Bandung is one place that has its own uniqueness and character, both in places of tourism, food, and other foods. One of the places visited by many local and foreign tourists in searching for souvenirs or souvenirs is Batik. One of the famous Batik venues in Bandung is Komar Batik, Batik Komar is one place that produces Batik with Bandung City motif. Therefore the author wants to examine the Bandung City motif made by Batik Komar with the theory of Kevin Linch so that the history of the Bandung Batik can be maintained. After producing the Bandung Batik analysis, it can be concluded that Batik Komar as a batik maker reflects the identity of Bandung City.

Abstract

Kajian strategi visual pada media promosi motion graphic stasiun penyedia listrik umum (SPLU) merupakan sebuah kajian yang dilakukan untuk mengungkap kegagalan strategi visual yang terjadi pada media promosi tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. PT PLN meluncurkan motion graphic berjudul ‘PLN Disjaya SPLU’ pada tanggal 7 september 2016. Motion graphic ini tentunya bertujuan untuk mempromosikan fasilitas SPLU yang disediakan untuk masyarakat umum. Motion graphic ini diunggah pada sosial media youtube. Namun sampai pada November 2017 ini tercatat bahwa video ini baru ditonton sebanyak 378 viewer, dan 1 like, dan 0 dislike. Angka yang sangat rendah untuk sebuah tontonan yang telah tayang selama 1 tahun 2 bulan. Perbandingan jumlah like dengan viewer pun hanya 1 orang dari 378 viewer. Dengan berdasarkan perbandingan waktu, viewer dan likenya dapat dikatakan bahwa motion graphic ini gagal dalam mengkomunikasikan layanan fasilitas SPLU ke khalayak umum. Kegagalan fungsi motion graphic tersebut menjadi kasus yang mengherankan bagi penulis sendiri, mengingat bahwa secara tampilan visual dan materi yang ada dalam motion graphic ini tersusun dengan baik dan menarik. Untuk itu, kajian ini dilaksanakan untuk mencari tahu letak kesalahan dalam proses sosialisasinya. Dengan demikian, analisa terhadap strategi visual motion graphic ‘PLN Disjaya SPLU’ sangatlah dibutuhkan demi keberhasilan proses kampanye fasilitas SPLU yang disediakan pemerintah kedepannya.

Abstract

Mosque design based on the universal design principle is a design concept for a mosque architecture that can be used by a person with disability users. Mosque as the center of religious activities is ‘Allah’s house’ where the congregation conducts praying. Shalat is essential to worship in Islam done at least five times a day and cannot be abandoned unless very specific condition happens (as explained in Al Qur’an). But in fact, hearing disability users still find difficulties in accessing mosques, most mosques are not accessible. This study aims to describe of study of universal design application at the Manarul Amal mosque on the Meruya campus at Mercu Buana University for a person with disabilities. The universal design principle is chosen based on the possibilities it provides to explore each potential tool to reduce or even eliminate the physical barrier for its users. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive method. The instrument of this study was researchers who were assisted with observation guidelines, interview guidelines and documentation guidelines based on the grid Minister of Public Works Regulation No. 14 / PRT / M / 2017. The steps of data analysis carried out include: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that the interior elements in the Manarul Amal mosque were in form of circulation, guiding paths, ramps, prayer rooms, sermon rooms, ablution rooms, shelves for footwear (shoes and feet) and supporting facilities attributes that didn’t meet the standard. While the walls of a room aren’t equipped with handrail, lighting, and colors are sufficient to meet the standards and audiovisual that is around the prayer room without a TV text, visual alarm (sound calling when praying).

Abstract

Dua hal yang menjadi pegangan dalam adat istiadat masyarakat Bugis adalah siri’ na pesse’ (malu dan solidaritas) yang biasanya dalam bahasa Makassar siri’ na pacce. Makna yang terkandung dalam falsafah Bugis tersebut mengandung arti bagaimana Masyarakat Bugis menjunjung tinggi harga diri dan kebersamaan. Dari falsafah tersebut, Salah satu hal yang menarik bagi saya ungkapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah pesse (solidaritas) yang merupakan nilai kebersamaan. Ungkapan Pesse’ dalam masyarakat Bugis merupakan analogi simbolik yang berarti kesamaan rasa (solidaitas) sebagai pegangan dalam setiap tindakan,  baik itu tutur kata, bekerja, maupun dalam membentuk pemerintahan. Salah satu aktualisasi pesse (kebersamaan) Bugis yang kuat dapat dilihat pada tindakan interaksi mereka baik kerjasama maupun berbahasa.Dalam penelitian ini mencoba mengungkap bagaimana analogi pesse (pacce) atau “rasa pedas” menjadi simbol dan analogi sebagai prinsip suku Bugis dalam bertindak. Tidak hanya melihat bagaimana simbolisasi tesebut, namun juga mengungkap bagaiman implementasi simbolisasi pesse dalam setiap interaksinya.

Abstract

Indonesia is famous for its cultural diversity starting from the diversity of tribes, languages, religions, and others. One of the ethnic groups in Indonesia is the Betawi ethnic group, which is an Indonesian ethnic group whose residents generally live in Jakarta. The Betawi tribe is a descendant tribe of residents who lived in Batavia since the 17th century. One of the cultures owned by the Betawi tribe is ondel-ondel, where ondel-ondel consists of 2 giant dolls in red and white that make one of the cultural icons owned by the Betawi tribe. Ondel-ondel at this time is easy to find around us or in the capital city of Jakarta, we often see ondel-ondel walking around the street accompanied by music that is surrounded by several people as driving music carts and there are also those who hold a container to get a purse coffe rupiah. Given this, some people assume that the cultural value of the Betawi people has decreased, the use of the method used is a qualitative method. The desired results can determine the right media for the ondel-ondel art preservation campaign as well as knowledge to the public about the importance of ondel-ondel art.
