Abstract

Detecting sarcasm in English tweets on social media platforms like Twitter is a complex task due to its subtle and ambiguous nature. This study explores the use of ensemble machine learning techniques, including Logistic Regression, Naive Bayes, Decision Tree, and Support Vector Machine (SVM), to effectively identify sarcasm. A dataset containing sarcastic and non-sarcastic English tweets was collected and preprocessed. Features representing lexical, syntactic, and semantic information were extracted to train and evaluate the ensemble models. The Support Vector Machine method demonstrated the highest performance among the techniques employed, achieving an accuracy of 80% and an F1-score of 80% for sarcasm detection. This highlights the efficacy of Support Vector Machines in capturing complex patterns and differentiating between sarcastic and non-sarcastic tweets. By leveraging the strengths of multiple machine learning algorithms, the ensemble approach enhances the overall performance of the sarcasm detection system. It provides a more robust and accurate detection of sarcasm, thereby improving the understanding of user sentiments and opinions in online conversations. This research contributes to sentiment analysis and natural language processing, offering valuable insights into sarcasm detection in social media. The findings have practical implications for interpreting user-generated content on platforms like Twitter, enabling a better understanding of user sentiments and facilitating more meaningful interactions.

Abstract

The need for the internet affects the growth in the number of website visitors and increases the server's traffic load. The increasing number of visitors often causes the website to overload due to an excessive number of requests despite the website still using a single server. So, it is necessary to apply Load Balancing techniques. The implementation requires an algorithm, specifically the Load Balancing method, which is responsible for dividing traffic as a workload among multiple servers. This research utilizes the Weighted Round Robin (WRR) algorithm, which considers server load based on device specifications. The scenario tests optimal performance load sharing among the WRR 1:1:1, WRR 2:1:1, and WRR 3:1:1 configurations then measures Response time and CPU Utilization. Testing is performed 30 times in each test scenario, and then the average value is taken. Giving traffic loads of 1000, 2000, and 3000 Requests using H2load Benchmark. The results of the WRR 2:1:1 ratio show that it is the most optimal, as the Load is evenly distributed among the three web servers. Reading the average CPU usage for 1000-3000 Request traffic, it reaches 71%-79% on Server 1, 47%-56% on Server 2, and 48%-56% on Server 3. Then, the average Response time is 223.77ms at 1000 Requests, 233.13ms at 2000 Requests, and 235.37ms at 3000 Requests.

Abstract

Crickets have various types, one of which is Gryllus Mitratus. Gryllus Mitratus crickets in Penolih village are cultivated by 16 cricket breeders, with individuals having at least 6 boxes with a size of 200 x 120 x 65 cm and a cage foot height of 25 cm. Cricket cultivation in Penolih village, Kaligondang sub-district, Purbalingga district, is still not optimal due to several factors, such as temperature, humidity, and light intensity, which are not suitable for crickets and cause stress and death. The temperature that crickets can accept is 20 o C to 32 o C, humidity is 65% to 80%, and light intensity is 0 lux. A tool is needed to monitor temperature conditions using DHT11, humidity using BME280, and light intensity using BH1750, which is installed in the cricket cage to determine its value and be followed up by cricket breeders. These sensors will send the input data to NodeMCU to be sent to the cloud so that it can be displayed in the Android application. The research method used is waterfall, namely the development of a systematic and sequential information system. Based on testing for 7 days, the average temperature of the cricket cage was 28.26 o C, the humidity of the cricket cage was 74.72%, and the light intensity of the cricket cage was 5.1 lux.

Abstract

SMP Negeri 3 Watukumpul is a junior high school located in Bongas Village, Watukumpul District, Pemalang Regency, Central Java. This school has implemented website-based technology as a medium for conveying information, but the website is no longer usable. The data obtained from the interview results indicate the need for an academic information system website as a medium for disseminating information and managing academic data digitally. Based on the existing problems, researchers will re-create a website-based Academic Information System for SMP Negeri 3 Watukumpul as a medium for delivering information and managing academic data. This research uses the Extreme Programming method, which is one of the development methodologies of Agile Software Development Methodologies. The Extreme Programming method has several stages: Planning, Design, Coding, and Testing. The system uses black box testing on student, admin, and teacher accounts. Blackbox testing on student accounts includes login, register, profile, news, wall magazine, course material, grades, contacts, and logout menus. Blackbox testing on teacher accounts consists of login menus, course materials, grades, and grade page details. Black box testing on admin accounts consists of login menus, school profiles, teachers and employees, news, wall magazines, extracurriculars, and lesson schedules. In testing this system, researchers use black box testing to test its functionality. The black box test from the student's account got a result of 100%, the black box test result from the teacher's account got 100%, and the black box test from the admin account was 98.57%. Thus, the average black box test result from the three users was 99.52%. With the existence of this school website, it is hoped that information dissemination activities and academic data management activities will become more effective and efficient.

Abstract

The implementation of Learning Vector Quantization (LVQ) to classify the ripeness of oil palm fruits is investigated in this study. In addition, this study provides a comprehensive set of procedures ranging from data collection and pre-processing to training and testing of the LVQ model, and finally, the proposed method has been validated by testing it on previously unseen data. Three feature extraction methods, specifically Gray-Level Co-occurrence Matrix (GLCM), Hue, Saturation, and Value (HSV), and t-Distributed Stochastic Neighbor Embedding (t-SNE), were assessed for their performance. The results show that the chosen feature extraction method strongly influences the classification performance. The accuracy of the model employing t-SNE features is notably the highest at 50%, indicating its efficacy in identifying the ripeness level of palm fruits by extracting pertinent features. On the other hand, the GLCM feature has a 40% accuracy in the test data, suggesting that although it captures information on texture, it may not comprehensively encapsulate ripeness characteristics. Additionally, the HSV feature achieves an accuracy of 45%, which is less precise than that of t-SNE. To conclude, this study elucidates the appropriateness of various feature extraction techniques in categorizing the degree of ripeness in palm fruits. The t-SNE feature extraction model stands out as the most efficient option, exhibiting greater precision in comparison to other methodologies.
