Abstract

Crime is behavior that violates the law and social norms so that people oppose it which can occur due to environmental factors, namely the imitation of criminality and individual economic factors, can be prevented by criminal policies, and can increase in certain situations, one of which is the economic crisis. The mathematical model of the spread of crime is built by considering individual economic factors which are implemented as work and non-work compartments, crime imitation factors which are implemented as the rate of crime affected, and criminal policy factors as an obstacle to crime. Based on the model that has been built, the equilibrium point and its stability, the basic reproduction rate, population dynamics, and conditions that can describe the influence of criminal policy and the economic crisis on the crime rate are determined. The model has one non-endemic equilibrium point and one non-negative endemic equilibrium point which can reach a stable condition. Numerical simulations show that population dynamics using parameter values and initial compartments obtained from various sources are stable towards an endemic equilibrium point, criminal policies can reduce crime rates, and economic crises can increase crime rates.

Abstract

Covid-19 has become a global epidemic since it first emerged in late 2019. Indonesia has made various efforts to prevent Covid-19, both through government policies and mass vaccination. Vaccine availability in mass vaccination policies is not sufficient because vaccines must be well accepted by the general public. One way to gain public trust is to make the impact of vaccination transparent by modeling its impact on the proportion of Covid-19 positive cases. In this study, we performed modeling using two main data sets. The first data is the number of people who received the first or second vaccine between July 1, 2021 and January 1, 2022. The second data is the positive rate (%) from July 15, 2021 to January 15, 2022. The results of this study show that increasing the proportion of the population vaccinated against Covid-19 with both 1st and 2nd doses can reduce the prevalence of Covid-19 cases in Indonesia. Moreover, increasing the proportion of second vaccinations further reduces the prevalence of Covid-19 cases compared to increasing the proportion of first vaccinations

Abstract

The determination of the shortest route can be done using various methods, one of which is the Dijkstra algorithm. This algorithm is often used in routing problems with minimum weight in computer networks, communication networks and transportation networks. There are several applications of the Djikstra algorithm, namely solving the problem of the shortest path of neutrosophy, mapping tourism potential, and developing geographic information systems in the health sector. In this research, Dijkstra algorithm will be applied to optimize the mileage of the delivery of goods packages. Data and information namely the address, weight and number of customer packages carried by a courier in one delivery trip are obtained from the drop point of PT. J&T Express in Sarijadi area of Bandung City. Meanwhile, data about mileage is obtained from the Google Maps application. All this data is used to construct an initial model graph that is a connected weighted graph, where the location of a drop point or a customer is a vertex and a road connecting two locations is an edge on the graph. The weight in this graph is the mileage from the drop point to the customers or from one customer to another. Then, the Djikstra algorithm is run on this graph where the drop point is the starting point of the route, so that the courier visits all customers and returns again to the drop point. The resulting route is a cycle in the graph which is the shortest closed route at 1890 meters.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Everyday Mathematics (EM) Learning Model on Students' Critical and Creative Thinking Ability. This type of research uses the Quasi Experiment method. Data collection is done through tests. Data analysis used the Ancova test. The sample of this research is students of SMPN 01 Lebong class VII.4 and VII.6. The results showed that: There is a linear influence of initial ability covariates on students' critical thinking skills with an effect of 62.6%. There is a linear influence of initial ability covariates on students' creative thinking abilities with an effect of 22.7%. There is an effect of applying the Everyday Mathematics learning model to students' critical thinking skills with an effect of 82.9%. There is an effect of applying the Everyday Mathematics learning model to students' creative thinking abilities with an effect of 6.5%. the achievement of critical thinking skills taught through learning using the Everyday Mathematics learning model is better than that taught through conventional learning. the achievement of creative thinking skills taught through learning using the Everyday Mathematics learning model is better than that taught through conventional learning

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Rigorous Mathematical Thinking learning on Students' Mathematical Literacy ability. This type of research uses the Quasi Experiment method. Data collection is done through tests. Data analysis used the Ancova test. The sample of this study were students of SMA Negeri 2 Bengkulu City in class VII I and VII K. The results showed that: (1) there was a linear covariate effect of initial ability on students' mathematical literacy abilities with an effect of 26,5%, (2) there was an effect of Rigorous Mathematical Thinking learning on students' mathematical literacy abilities with an effect of 62,6%, and (3) there was a higher mathematical literacy abilities achievement for class VII students of SMP Negeri 2 Bengkulu City who are taught using Rigorous Mathematical Thinking learning compared to classes taught with conventional learning

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Search, Solve, Create and Share (SSCS) model on Problem Solving and creative thinking skills. This type of research is a quasi-experiment. The population of this study were all students of class XI MIA SMA Negeri 4 Kaur. The instrument of this research is a test of mathematical problem-solving ability and mathematical creative thinking ability. The results showed that there were: (1) the linear effect of initial ability covariates on students' problem-solving abilities with an effect of 7.9%. (2) the linear effect of initial ability covariates on students' mathematical creative thinking abilities with an effect of 42.9%. (3) the linear effect of initial ability covariates on students' mathematical creative thinking abilities with an effect of 42.9%. (4) the effect of using the SSCS learning model on students' problem-solving abilities by 7.7%. (5) the achievement of problem-solving abilities of class XI MIA SMAN 4 Kaur students who were taught using the SSCS learning model was higher than classes taught by conventional learning models. (6) the achievement of creative thinking abilities of class XI MIA SMAN 4 Kaur who were taught using the learning model SSCS is higher than classes taught by conventional learning models

Abstract

This study aims to examine whether the application of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model will improve the learning outcomes of class X students of SMK Negeri 2 Tondano in the matter of the linear equation system with two variables (SLPDV). The type of research used in this study was a quasi experiment with a posttest only control group design. This research was conducted at SMK Negeri 2 Tondano, class X MPLB 2 as the control class and X MPLB 3 as the experimental class. The results showed that the average learning outcomes of the experimental class with the implementation of the PjBL model was 76.21 while the average learning outcomes of students in the control class with the implementation of the conventional model were 54.63 through the administration of the final test (posttest). Because the significant value is lower than 0.05 (0.000 <0.05) then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, namely the average learning outcomes of students who study using the PjBL learning model are higher than the learning outcomes of students who study using conventional models. This means that the PjBL learning model can improve student learning outcomes in class X SPLDV material

Abstract

This study aims to determine the average difference in the learning outcomes of straight-line equations material for students who are taught using the Problem Based-Learning model and the average learning outcomes for straight-line equations material for students who are taught using the Direct Instruction model. The design of this research is the Posttest Only Control Design. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Tahuna in the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. The subjects in this study were taken into 2 classes, namely class VIII B as the experimental class and class VIII C as the control class. Data collection was carried out by giving tests in the form of questions to both classes after being given treatment. The research data were analyzed using t-test statistics and the calculation results showed that the t_count=5.48 > t_table=1.68. Because the value of t_count > t_table then reject H0. Thus it can be concluded that the average student learning outcomes straight line equation material experimental class is more than the average student learning outcomes control class

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Effectiveness of the Treffinger Learning Model in Improving the Ability to Understand Mathematical Concepts and Critical Thinking Skills of SMA Negeri 2 Bengkulu City Students in the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year with the research population being all students of class XI, totaling 1,284 students and a research sample of 72 students consisting of 2 classes namely class XI MIPA U as the experimental class and class XI MIPA A as the control class. The research instrument is a test of understanding mathematical concepts and critical thinking skills. Data analysis was performed using the multivariate analysis of covariance (MANCOVA) test. The results showed that there was an influence of the Treffinger learning model on understanding mathematical concepts and critical thinking skills together at 78.7%. Furthermore, the effect of the Treffinger learning model on understanding mathematical concepts is 72.3% and the influence of the Treffinger learning model on critical thinking skills is 78.6%. The average score of students in the class taught by the Treffinger learning model is higher than that of students taught by using the Scientific learning model. The average understanding of mathematical concepts in the experimental class was 80.667 and the control class was 62.5. The average critical thinking ability in the experimental class was 78.13 and in the control class was 58.76

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Intruction Connection Application Reflection and Extention (ICARE) Learning Model on Students' Problem-Solving Ability and Critical Thinking Ability. This type of research uses the Quasi Experiment method. Data collection is done through tests. Data analysis used the Ancova test. The sample of this study were students of SMPIT Darul Fikri Bengkulu Utara grades VII A and VII B. The results showed that: 1) There was a linear covariate effect of initial ability on problem solving ability with a significant influence of 50.3%. 2) There is a linear influence of the initial ability covariate on critical thinking skills with a large influence of 56.7%. 3) There is an effect of learning using the ICARE model on students' problem-solving abilities with a large influence of 59.9%. 4) There is an influence of learning using the ICARE model on students' critical thinking skills with a large influence of 59.4%.
