Abstract

ABSTRACT Diabetes Mellitus (DM) was a disease or disorder of chronic metabolism which be characterized by high blood sugar levels along with carbohydrate, lipid, and protein metabolism disorders as a result of insulin function insufficiency. Treatment of diabetes could be overcome by utilizing nutritious plants, one of which was thegaling leaves (Cayratia trifolia L. Domin.). The galing plant contained secondary metabolites such as alkaloids, phytosterol saponins, phenols, flavonoids and tannins. Flavonoids were suspected as an antidiabetic agent. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of some fractions of galing leaves extract in lowering blood glucose levels at mice which be induced streptozotocin (STZ). The research design used was a completely randomized design consisting of five treatment groups consisting of positive control (glibenclamide 5 mg) and negative control (Na. CMC 0,5%) with three replications. The results showed that there were significant differences in each treatment group (Fhit> Ftabel 0.05) of the antidiabetic effect, where ethyl acetate fraction had the best effectiveness in reducing blood glucose levels in Balb / C male mice that were STZ induced when compared with positive control of glibeklamid. Abstract

ABSTRACT Melanin is a color pigment in the skin, hair, eye choroid layers, and certain tumor cells. The process of melanin formation in the human body can reduced by several mechanisms, such as antioxidants, tyrosine enzyme inhibitors, and hormonal activity. The process of formation of melanin or pigment in human skin occurs with the help of biocatalysts (enzymes) and ultraviolet (UV) rays found in the sun. Biocatalysts that play a role in this browning reaction are tyrosine which can found in animals, plants and humans. The process of extracting black rice using methanol then continued by separation using column chromatography. The yield of ethyl acetate fraction was 3.26%. The highest yield was 4.1 mg with the characteristics: maximum wavelength of UV light at 298 nm, the name of the isovanillic acid compound and IC50 tyrosine inhibition test of 107.91 ppm Keywords: black rice, tyrosine enzym, isovanillic acid

Abstract

ABSTRACT Herba Lampasau (Diplazium esculentum Swartz.) contains of flavonoids, saponins and tannins which act as antibacterial, antiseptic, and astringent in wound healing with 20% concentration, to facilitate its use it is formulated in the form of ointment. This study aimed to determine the optimum ointment formula based on before and after of Borneo Journal of Phamascientech, Vol. 03, No. 02, Oktober Tahun 2019 ISSN-Print. 2541-3651 ISSN-Online. 2548 – 3897 Research Article 179 the freeze thaw stability test of its physical characteristics and stability with variations of hydrocarbon base, absorption, washed water, and water soluble. Ointment preparations were made by smelting method, data analysis method on organoleptic, homogeneity and viscosity descriptively while in pH test, spreadability and statistical adhesion of one-way ANOVA. The results showed that the whole formula was semisolida, blackish green, distinctive smelling, homogeneous preparation but after the freeze thaw stability test it was not homogeneous anymore, preparation pH was 5.14- 6.63, preparation spread was 0-66.27 g.cm2 / s, power sticks <1 second, and viscosity 8840-19380 cP. Statistically the value (p-value > 0,05) showed that was not significant before and after the freeze thaw stability test, the overall formula was stable but at pH testing for formulas 2-4 there was a significant change in stability. Abstract

Health services in Indonesia have not been maximized to cover the needs of patients who have moderate disease. Furthermore, Pharmacoeconomics approach is most recommended for cost and quality control namely Cost utility analysis. The interpretation of the cost-effectiveness ratio requires a cost-effectiveness threshold to determine whether a health technology is cost-effective or not. One approach that can be used is by finding the estimation of willingness to pay per quality adjusted life years. The research objective was to determine the estimation of willingness to pay per quality adjusted life year for the moderate disease community in Banjarmasin and to find out the factors that influence it. The research method used a cross-sectional approach. The survey was conducted tothe community in Banjarmasin in 2019 by using stated preference methods with the contingent valuation approach. The samplewas 100 respondents. The research instrument was questionnaire which was consisted of measuring the value of WTP using the dichotomous bidding game method, the measurement of utility used EQ-5D based on a hypothetical scenario of moderate disease utility value. Analysis used bivariate correlation analysis spearman. The findings showed that the average of WTP per QALY EQ-5D-5L was Rp. 19,538,910 and the analysis of the variable characteristics of the respondents to the WTP per QALY obtained R square 0.397 (p = 0.026), which means that 39% of the dependent variable together will affect WTP. per QALY. This research is expected to provide input on the CE-Threshold based on community preferences.
