Jurnal Agrohut lahir atas inisiasi tim dosen yang tergabung pada Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Darussalam Ambon. Nama Agrohut terlahir dari potongan kata Agro yang "mencerminkan" pertanian dan hut yang menunjukkan identitas "kehutanan". Terbitan pertama Jurnal Agrohut tersedia bulan Oktober 2010 dan terus berupaya menyampaikan kedalaman analisis yang memadai tiap volumenya. Sejak terbitan pertama, tidak semua volume tersaji dengan lengkap. Namun perlahan kami akan melengkapinya dengan sajian yang sesuai. Memasuki tahun 2018, setelah melewati masa panjang selama 8 tahun sejak terbitan pertama, editorial menyajikan Agrohut secara daring dengan alamat http://e-journal.unidar.ac.id/index.php/agrohut . Namun, terdapat kendala teknis pada akhir 2019 sehingga kami memindahkan rumah jurnal dari rumah lama dan bergabung dengan e-journal.id menggunakan alamat baru https://unidar.e-journal.id/agh.

Abstract

The biology of the Lompa fish (Thryssa baelama, Forskall, 1975) in the waters of Kabauw Beach, Central Maluku is not yet known. This research aims to analyze fish size, the relationship between length weight and condition factors of Lompa fish. A total of 628 fish samples were collected using cast net fishing gear, from October – November 2023. The results showed that the total length of the fish ranged from 6 – 6.5 cm and body weight ranged from 1,703 – 13,072 grams. The relationship model for the length and weight of male fish W = 0.0102L2.8294 and female fish W = 0.0119L2.7501, and the combination of male and female W = 0.0111L2.7885. The condition factor (K) of male Lompa fish (Thryssa baelama) ranges between 0.695 – 1.3728 (0.993 ± 0.0779) and for females ranges between 0.7912 – 1.3783 (1.0056 ± 0.0807).

Abstract

The lola snail (Trochus niloticus) is a species of sea snail that has important economic value. This research aims to determine the density and distribution patterns of lola snails in the coastal waters of Malaku Village, Central Maluku. Sampling used a stratified random sampling method with line transects, the research location was divided into 3 stations. Stations I and III have plank coral substrates and dead coral fragments, while station II has rocky substrates and coral flats. The results of the research found that the total number of lola snail individuals found at the research location was 110 individuals spread across 3 research stations. The maximum size of lola snails found was 99.41 mm in diameter and the minimum size found was 47.18 mm in diameter. The highest density of Lola snails at each research station was 0.08 ind/m2 and the lowest was 0.05 ind/m2. The distribution pattern of Lola snails at the research location is a clustered pattern.

Abstract

Coffee plants are one of the plantation commodities that have been cultivated for generations by farmers in Leihitu District, Central Maluku Regency. So far, there has not been much information about various studies related to the morphological diversity of these commodities. The research aims to analyze the morphological and descriptor characteristics of coffee plants cultivated in Leihitu District, Central Maluku Regency. The research was carried out in three coffee plant distribution locations in Leihitu District, Central Maluku Regency, namely Seith, Hitulama, and Hitumessing Villages in December 2023 - February 2024. The results of the morphological analysis of coffee plants which were characterized using Hierarchical Cluster Analysis (HCA) based on 69 morphological characters showed two groups with a dissimilarity coefficient of 20%, where the first group consisted of 29 accessions that were clustered with 84% similarity, while the second group only consisted of one accession with dissimilarity coefficient of 20% to the first group. The results of Principle Component Analysis (PCA) on coffee plants showed characteristic characters in the form of leaf length, leaf area, leaf width, stipule diameter, plant height, green bean weight and mature bean length. The characterization results provide information that the type of coffee cultivated by farmers in Leihitu District, Central Maluku Regency is Robusta coffee.

Abstract

Clove jinten are one of the local cloves cultivated in Wakasihu Village, West Leihitu District, Central Maluku Regency. Until now, there has not been much information about various studies related to the morphology of cloves Jinten. The research aims to analyze the morphological characters of local cloves jinten and identify the plant's descriptor characters. The research was carried out in Wakasihu Village, West Leihitu District, Central Maluku Regency, Maluku Province in January - May 2024. The research results based on Hierarchical Cluster Analysis (HCA) showed two large groups with a dissimilarity coefficient of 14.30% (similarity of 85.70%). Group I consisted of 4 accessions clustered with a dissimilarity coefficient of 12.80% (similarity 87.20%) and group II consisted of 26 accessions with a dissimilarity coefficient of 12.50% (similarity 87.50%). Group II in the grouping is also divided into two groups, namely group II-a which consists of 20 accessions with a dissimilarity coefficient of 11.80% (similarity 88.20%) and group II-b which consists of 6 accessions with a dissimilarity coefficient of 12% (similarity 88%). Characteristics of cloves jinten based on Principle Component Analysis (PCA) were obtained in the form of leaf length, leaf area, leaf stalk length, flower stalk length, fruit length, fruit width and fruit weight.

Abstract

Cengkih Zanzibar merupakan salah varietas cengkih lokal unggul asal Kepulauan Maluku yang banyak dibudidayakan oleh petani cengkih di Kecamatan Tehoru Kabupaten Maluku Tengah. Sejauh ini keragaman morfologi dalam populasi cengkih Zanzibar belum banyak diinformasikan. Penelitian bertujuan menginformasikan keragaman morfologi dalam popuasi cengkih Zanzibar beserta karakter pencirinya. Penelitian dilakukan di 3 desa di Kecamatan Tehoru Kabupaten Maluku Tengah Provinsi Maluku, yaitu desa Tehoru, Haya, dan Yaputih. Karakterisasi dilakukan terhadap 30 sampel tanaman cengkih Zanzibar Merah dan 30 sampel tanaman cengkih Zanzibar Putih berdasarkan 54 karakter morfologi. Hasil karakterisasi berdasarkan Hierarchical Cluster Analysis (HCA) didapatkan 2 kelompok besar cengkih Zanzibar dengan koefisien ketidakmiripan sebesar 13.80% (kemiripan 86.2%). Kelompok pertama terdiri atas 30 aksesi cengkih Zanzibar Merah yang mengelompok dengan kemiripan 87.5% (ketidakmiripan 12.50%), sedangkan kelompok kedua terdiri atas kelompok cengkih Zanzibar Putih yang mengelompok dengan kemiripan 91% (ketidakmiripan 9%). Karakter penciri berdasarkan Principle Component Analysis (PCA) didapatkan karakter penciri cengkih Zanzibar Merah berupa lebar kanopi U-S, lebar kanopi T-B, berat tangkai bunga, sedangkan Zanzibar Putih berupa warna daun tua, warna pucuk, dan panjang buah.

Abstract

Papaya ((Carica papaya L.) is one of the leading fruit commodities that are strategic to meet most of the food needs of the Indonesian people. The research aims to obtain nformation on the management of organic California papaya cultivation in Tial Village, Salahutu District, Central Maluku Regency. The research was conducted from October to November 2020 and used a survey method. Direct observations and interviews were conducted with farmers who cultivate the California papaya plant. The samples were taken as many as 15 heads of household farmers who cultivate organic California papaya. The results showed that the land ownership in the research location was their own and the land topography was flat to wavy. Overall, the organic California papaya farmers at the research location apply the concept of organic agricultural cultivation the The production of organic California papaya fruit in Tial Village reaches 100-130 kg of trees.

Abstract

Clove Raja is classified as an intermediate clove type because it has morphological characteristics similar to cultivated-type cloves from the aromatic group and wild-type cloves from the non-aromatic group. The morphological similarity indicates similarities in the essential oil components between Raja clove, cultivated, and wild-type cloves. The study aims to identify the essential oil components of one of the Raja clove variants by comparing them with the results of previous essential oil component analysis in cultivated type cloves from the aromatic group represented by Tuni cloves and wild type cloves from the non-aromatic group represented by Hutan cloves. The material for distillation comes from the flower part of one of the Raja clove variants. Raja clove flower oil distillation was carried out using the steam-hydro distillation method. In contrast, the equipment for analyzing essential components used Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) in the form of Agilent Technologies 7890. The critical component data obtained were analyzed using R Stat 3.1.0 software to produce a heatmap profile of essential oil grouping. The results of the Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) analysis obtained seven crucial components of Raja cloves, namely eugenol (75.35%); caryophyllene (9.63%); Germacrene-D (3.73%); I-Isopropyl-4,7-dimethyl-1,2,3,5,6,8a—hexahydronaphtalene (1.65%); humulene (1.36%); 2'-3',4' trimethocyacetophenone (1.22%); α-cubebene (1%). The characteristic components of Raja clove oil in the heatmap profile are indicated as eugenol; germacrene-D; α-humulene; 2'-3',4' Trimethocyacetophenone, I-isopropyl-4,7-dimethyl-1,2,3,5,6,8a-hexahydronaphtalene. The identification results show that Raja cloves have similarities in the main component of eugenol with the results of previous studies on cultivated cloves represented by Tuni cloves, while the similarity to wild-type cloves represented by Hutan cloves is in the form of  germacrene-D.

Abstract

Dalam upaya mempersiapkan bibit yang baik, diperlukan media tumbuh yang sesuai, untuk mendapatkan media tumbuh seperti yang diharapkan dapat dilakukan dengan mencampur tanah dengan bahan organik. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menjelaskan peran pemanfaatan bahan organik dari limbah penyulingan minyak kayu putih sebagai media tumbuh untuk mendorong perkecambahan benih dan pertumbuhan bibit tanaman cengkeh hutan. Penelitian dilakukan di Desa Batu Merah Kecamatan Sirimau Kota Ambon, Maluku berlangsung selama tujuh bulan sejak bulan Agustus 2022 sampai Maret 2023. Sumber benih diambil dari tanaman cengkeh hutan milik petani di kecamatan Leihitu Kabupaten Maluku Tengah. Perlakuan bahan organik terdiri dari 5 taraf, yaitu : P0 = tanpa bahan organik; P1= bahan organik 20 %; P2 = bahan oganik 40 %; P3 = bahan oganik 60 %; P4 = bahan oganik 80 %. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Berblok dengan 3 ulangan. Setiap satuan percobaan dipilih 3 bibit tanaman sampel. Variabel yang diamati meliputi persen daya kecambah, vigor benih, tinggi bibit, jumlah daun, dan luas daun, faktor koreksi (fc) 0.65. Data dianalisis secara statistik meliputi Analisis Sidik Ragam (Anova) dan uji beda Fisher’s. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakukan bahan organik memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap perkecambahan benih dan pertumbuhan bibit tanaman cengkeh hutan dengan nilai R2 untuk perkecambahan benih sebesar 76.5 %, korelasinya sangat kuat (r = 0.87). Sementara nilai R2 untuk pertumbuhan bibit sebesar 73.83 % dengan nilai korelasi (r = 0.85). Perkecambahan benih dengan daya kecambah 93.33 % dicapai pada taraf perlakuan 40 % bahan organik dan perlakuan 20 % bahan organik mampu menghasilkan pertumbuhan bibit cengkeh hutan yang baik dengan tinggi bibit mencapai 24.9 cm, jumlah daun 5.4 helai dan luas daun sebesar 26.68 cm2.

Abstract

Ikan demersal merupakan ikan dasar (karang) yang bernilai ekonomis tinggi memiliki pangsa pasar ekspor luas, dengan harga yang tinggi. Kebutuhan dan permintaan pasar yang terus mengalami peningkatan sehingga membutuhkan kontinuitas bahan baku. Untuk memenuhi permintaan pasar yang terus meningkat , menyebabkan intensitas penangkapan semakin meningkat. Peningkatan intensitas penangkapan terjadi hampir di seluruh wilayah perairan indonesia termasuk di perairan Laut dusun Telaga Indah, Kecamatan Huamual Belakang, Kabupaten Seram Bagian Barat. Intensitas penangkapan menyebabkan ikan Demersal mengalami penurunan ukuran stok yang tertangakap dari segi ukuran individu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui, pengaruh waktu perendaman jaring insang dasar (Bottom gillnet) terhadap hasil tangkapan ikan demersal. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret – April 2018 bertempat diperairan dusun Telagah Indah. Pengambilan sampel ikan dilakukan setelah melakukan pengoperasian jaring yang didapatkan dari hasil tangkapan yang mana dalam pengoperasiannya di lakukan tiga kali sehari yaitu: Pagi, Siang, dan Malam, Analisis data pengaruh waktu perendaman jaring insang dasar terhadap hasil tangkapan ikan demersal dengan menerapkan metode eksprimen. Analisis yang digunakan adalah Analisis Varian (Anova) dengan penggunaan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang sesuai dengan asumsi yang digunakan pada saat penelitian. Tiga taraf perlakuan yang digunakan adalah : Hasil tangkapan pada pagi hari, pada siang hari, dan hasil tangkapan pada malam hari. Satuan percobaan pada penelitian ini adalah alat tangkap jaring insang dasar, sedangkan respon yang di ukur adalah berat dan jumlah individu hasil tangkapan pada setiap kali operasi penangkapan. Berdasarkan hasil yang telah diuji dengan menggunakan uji ANOVA didapatkan nilai Fhitung = 3.9323 > Ftabel = 3,354 pada α 0,05, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa waktu penangkapan berpengaruh terhadap hasil tangkapan ikan dengan alat tangkap Bottom Gill Net. Sementara itu uji lanjutan dengan mempergunakan Uji t Student untuk melihat perbedaan waktu penangkapan terhadap hasil tangkapan menunjukkan bahwa pada waktu malam berbeda nyata dengan waktu siang (2,5953 >2,2621) pada α 0,05 dan tidak berbeda nyata dengan waktu pagi (0,3701 < 2,2621) pada α 0,05. Sedangkan pada waktu pagi berbeda nyata dengan waktu siang (3,6839 > 2,2621) pada α 0,05.

Abstract

Pulau Osi is a coastal area with substantial potential for developing community-based mangrove ecotourism. This study aims to analyze the management and development strategies of the mangrove ecotourism area in Dusun Pulau Osi, West Seram Regency, using a qualitative descriptive approach and SWOT analysis. The findings indicate active community participation through the formation of groups such as Mangrove Lestari and Mina Mangrove Lestari. Internal strengths include abundant natural resources and scenic landscapes, while weaknesses lie in limited infrastructure and insufficient promotion. Externally, economic potential and technological advancement present key opportunities. The recommended strategy is an aggressive one, emphasizing the optimization of internal strengths and external opportunities through infrastructure development, digital promotion, and the creation of mangrove-derived products. The study concludes that the success of ecotourism management relies heavily on collaboration among communities, government, and private stakeholders in promoting conservation-based and locally-driven tourism development
