Abstract

With an average class grade of 86.9 prior to the Covid-19 epidemic, Journalistic Course Studying Achievements (CPMK) by learning news writing techniques was quite ideal. During a pandemic, the course manager expects that CPMK Journalism will continue to function at its best. As a result, academics are working on it and lecturers are putting interactive learning techniques for news writing skills into use via the WhatsApp Group. The one-group, pretest-posttest design of this study combined a descriptive quantitative technique with a pre-experimental design method. This study used interactive learning approaches for news writing skills utilizing the WhatsApp Group. The strategies were taken from Komara (2014). Based on the calculation of the mean (average value), the student received a pretest score of 70.5. Based on the calculation of the mean (average value), the student received a posttest score of 91.5. According to the research questionnaire's findings from ten assertions, students are generally open to using the WhatsApp Group to adopt interactive learning strategies. They also favor using the WhatsApp Group to master interactive news writing tactics.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to create a strategic management model for improving institutional performance at private tertiary institutions by increasing lecturer productivity. Researchers use the Four D Model research design with four stages and the Research and Development (R&D) strategy (Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate). The study was carried out at Universitas Putra Indonesia (UNPI) Cianjur, with the chancellor, head of the LPPM, dean, head of study program, and lecturer serving as informants. The collecting of data was done by observation, interviews, document studies, and focus group discussions (FGDs) in order to test the data, determine its meaning, and place the data in the appropriate theoretical frameworks. The study's findings indicate that strategic management for lecturer performance development has been successfully implemented because the average percentage of strategic management indicators for performance development achievement is 75.70%. With an achievement percentage of 80.55%, the strategic planning component had the highest success rate. The follow-up component, however, had the lowest success rate (67.73%). To boost lecturer productivity at private tertiary institutions, a performance development strategy management model that consists of a number of interconnected model components was designed.

Abstract

This study aims to hide developments from published research on digital leadership. This research aims to provide an overview of the topic of digital leadership so that it can provide input regarding the novelty of research in the field of digital leadership. publish This research uses the bibliometric method, namely a literature study that looks at statistics on a publication. The publication database used in this study is Google Scholar with a publication period from 2012 to 2022. To assist researchers in collecting bibliographic data, researchers use the Publish or Perish application. From the research results, 455 articles were obtained which were then processed using the MS Excel and VOSviewer applications. The results of this study indicate that research on digital leadership continues to increase every year, this is also in line with the citation rate which continues to increase before finally dropping in 2020 to 2022. Based on the research results, researchers found that there has been no in-depth research between digital leadership and school management. Directly, which can be seen in terms of quality, satisfaction, digital services and supervision that may be carried out by the heads of educational institutions.

Abstract

The corona virus (covid 19) has caused a shift in the educational landscape from in-person instruction to distance learning, which necessitates a digital transformation. For learning to continue to function successfully, teachers must be adept at selecting and implementing the appropriate strategy. The purpose of this study was to learn how teachers in junior high schools in rural areas approached their lessons during the Covid 19 outbreak. This study employs a descriptive qualitative methodology. Three school principals and 108 teachers served as the informants (interview subjects). In addition, a questionnaire was utilized by the researchers to collect information on the teacher's name, age, school's location, previous educational level, gender, and the learning tactics and resources she or he employed during the pandemic. The process of interasis analysis was employed during the data analysis, and it included data reduction, data presentation, and verification or conclusion. According to the study's findings, teachers in remote locations use offline, online, and hybrid teaching methods. Researchers also discovered that the learning strategy employed depends on the teacher's age.

Abstract

Physics learning is the process of students mastering mathematical concepts in life that are solved through complicated formulas. The research aims to determine the effect and increase in students' conceptual understanding and science generic skills in physics lessons. This research belongs to the experimental research type with a quasi-experimental design using the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Sample selection used Nonprobability sampling (total or saturated sample) consisting of 18 eighth-grade students. Data collection techniques used tests and observations. The statistical test results show that tcount < ttable indicates the influence of using the learning model. The study concludes that the use of the MASTER (Motivating, Acquiring, Searching, Triggering, Exhibiting, and Reflecting) learning model with discussion methods can improve students' conceptual understanding and science generic skills in physics. The application of the MASTER learning model is able to improve students' conceptual understanding and science generic skills as seen from the test results before and after treatment, with the post-treatment test results being higher than the pre-treatment test results. The research results show the N-Gain test results for the conceptual understanding variable at 0.18 and for the science generic skills variable at 0.7.

Abstract

The world is changing of the 4th Industrial Revolution and the digital era, it is urgent to apply digital transformation in education. Innovating teaching and learning methods in the digital environment based on enhancing self-learning capacity of learners is essential to achieve digital transformation effectively in education and training. This study has proposed three solutions for self-study based teaching method in the digital environment in higher training, especiall in technical universities: (1) experimental self-study in the digital environment, (2) innovating teaching method of self-study in the digital environment, (3) innovating the self-study teching method to improve memory capacity  in the digital environment. An objective of this study to clarify the term "teaching and learning in the digital environment". The research results to create a premise for further research, building a theoretical basis on how to teach self-study in a specific university training discipline (example for Electrical Engineering) to illustrate in the digital environment and implementing sample lesson plans and specific lectures to develop self-study competency of the students in a digital environment, achieving higher educational and training efficiency, and meeting current digital transformation requirements

Abstract

SMP Islam Terpadu Bina Insan Kamil Sidareja telah menyoroti keunggulan dalam pembinaan kepribadian Islami melalui evaluasi diri. Pendidikan berbasis agama Islam telah diintegrasikan ke dalam kurikulum sebagai strategi untuk menjaga mutu kualitas lulusan. Fokus utama adalah penguatan bina pribadi Islami, melibatkan siswa, guru, dan karyawan. Evaluasi penerimaan peserta didik baru menunjukkan bahwa 25-30% orang tua memilih sekolah ini karena motif pembinaan keislaman. Penelitian kualitatif ini bertujuan menganalisis dampak pembinaan kepribadian Islami terhadap perubahan signifikan siswa dalam aspek keagamaan dan motivasi orang tua memilih SMP Islam Terpadu Bina Insan Kamil Sidareja. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif, data diperoleh melalui analisis dokumen, wawancara, dan observasi program pondok pesantren. Hasilnya menunjukkan dampak positif penguatan bina pribadi Islami, dengan manajemen terintegrasi mendalam membedakan sekolah ini. Kesimpulan penelitian memberikan pemahaman mendalam tentang pentingnya pembinaan kepribadian Islami dan kontribusinya pada perkembangan jumlah penerimaan peserta didik baru, memadati kebutuhan pendidikan Islam Terpadu.

Abstract

This study explains how to improve critical thinking skills in junior high and high school students. The purpose of this study was to determine students' critical thinking skills in learning mathematics, especially at the junior and senior high school levels. The method used in this research is a literature study. The researcher concluded that the ability to think critically in learning mathematics can make students more active in learning. The critical thinking stage in learning mathematics goes through four stages, namely giving questions, dividing groups, thinking together, and giving answers. The conclusion of this research is evident from the results of another research that has been done before.

Abstract

The study aims to explore lexical collocations in master’s student reflective writings by classifying the collocations and figuring out the strengths of the word combinations using the Mutual Information (MI) scores. As a corpus-based study, the Corpus of Contemporary American English (COCA) was employed by the researchers. Therefore, the MI score of each lexical collocation could be carefully gathered and compared. The result of the study showed six types out of seven types of lexical collocations found in students’ reflective writings. Among the combinations, the noun and verb combinations were the most commonly found. The summarized data revealed that the number of word combinations with a stronger association was higher than the number of word combinations with a less significant association. Being get used to various English language inputs, the students were able to possess a wide range of lexical collocation repertoire and produce writings containing various word combinations with the significant association.

Abstract

ChatGPT is one of the AIs that really helps humans in answering all questions in various sectors including in the education sector if used wisely. This research aims to describe the answers of chatGPT related to vocational education using turnitin and chatGPT. This research is a descriptive research. There were 10 questions asked. After 1 answer appears, then click the generate response button to get other answers. Each question was taken 3 answers from ChatGPT. The results of turnitin checking were compared with the plagiarism rate table. The checking was done by pasting the answers plus a question ‘is this answer from chatGPT?’. Based on checking using turnitin, it is known that 8 answers have a low similarity index while 2 answers have a medium similarity index. Based on checking using chatGPT itself, it is known that chatGPT knows all the answers from him. Recommendations for further research are that paraphrase can be done using AI tools such as Wordtune and Quillbot. Then the results are checked for similarity index with many plagiarism tools.
