The southern coastal area of Lumajang Regency experiences high shoreline dynamics due to Indian Ocean waves, ocean currents, river mouth sedimentation, and human activities. Shoreline changes in the form of erosion and accretion affect coastal geomorphology, ecosystem stability, and socio-economic activities. This study aims to analyze shoreline dynamics in the Watu Gedek and Muara Gede areas, Tempursari District, Lumajang Regency, using Landsat imagery from 2020–2025. The methods include shoreline extraction using MNDWI, quantitative analysis with the Digital Shoreline Analysis System (DSAS), and prediction approaches using QSCAT and Random Forest machine learning. The analyzed parameters include NSM, EPR, LRR, and SCE. The results show that erosion dominates approximately ±74% of the transects, with a maximum rate of -11.49 m/year. The most severe erosion occurs in the central segment, while limited accretion occurs in the eastern and western parts with rates up to +2.45 m/year due to local sediment supply. QSCAT and Random Forest results show consistent patterns with DSAS. These findings highlight the importance of adaptive and spatial-data-based coastal management.

Landslide in high plasticity stiff overconsolidated clays frequently occur despite high safety factors obtained from analyses based on undrained shear strength. This is because the parameters used in such analyses do not adequately represent slope conditions subjected to repeated deformation and weathering. This study aims to identify the fully softened and residual shear strength parameters, to examine their relationship with the liquid limit (LL) for this soil type, and to find out the suitability of the relationship graph with that developed by Stark & Hussain. Fully softened and residual shear strengths were obtained from direct shear slow reversal test. Remoulded specimens prepared using the slurry method and consolidated under normally consolidated conditions were used. Soil samples were collected from three landslide sites in Semarang. The test results indicate very high LL values (94-105%) with clay fractions exceeding 50% at all sampling locations. Overall, the results show consistency with the regression bounds relating LL to fully softened and residual friction angles developed by Stark & Hussain. The correlation demonstrates good agreement and is applicable to local clayshales.

This study aims to examine the occupational safety and health (OSH) management system in a construction company, specifically in the Viar or Tosa showroom construction project. It also analyzes workplace accident prevention efforts and the impact of occupational health on work quality. The study employs an observational approach with a descriptive method, while data were analyzed quantitatively using SPSS software. The findings reveal that most workers (92.3%) understood the implementation of the OSH management system, supported by the availability of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as helmets, vests, gloves, and safety shoes. In terms of accident prevention, 88.4% of workers were involved in planning OSH programs, reflecting the company’s commitment to workplace safety. The study further shows that all workers consistently applied the use of PPE during construction activities. Moreover, occupational health practices were found to have a significant influence on work quality, as the majority of workers recognized the importance of the OSH management system in ensuring safety and improving productivity.

The presence of antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) in raw water has become a major concern in water treatment due to their role in accelerating the spread of antimicrobial resistance. Conventional treatment processes are often unable to effectively remove these genetic contaminants. This study aimed to evaluate the adsorption behavior and capacity of plasmid-encoded ampicillin resistance genes (ampR) using various types of activated carbon. Batch adsorption experiments were conducted using ten types of activated carbon, consisting of five coal-based and five wood-based carbons. Adsorption kinetics were analyzed using pseudo-first-order and pseudo-second-order models. The results showed that ampR adsorption on activated carbon followed the pseudo-second-order model. The adsorption rate constants ranged from 8.10 × 10⁻¹² to 6.19 × 10⁻¹¹ copies mg⁻¹ min⁻¹ for coal-based activated carbon and from 3.32 × 10⁻¹¹ to 2.66 × 10⁻¹⁰ copies mg⁻¹ min⁻¹ for wood-based activated carbon. The findings demonstrate that activated carbon has strong potential as an adsorbent for removing ampR in water treatment systems and support the development of more effective water treatment technologies.

Hydrometeorological disasters, such as the flash flood in West Aceh Regency in November 2025, caused severe damage to the houses of affected residents. This study aims to analyze economic, social, physical, and livability conditions and to establish post‑disaster housing intervention priorities. A quantitative descriptive method with percentage analysis was used on 187 affected households. Results show that 51.3% have very low income (

The clean water distribution network is a critical infrastructure for meeting the needs of the community. However, problems such as low water pressure, uneven distribution, and high water loss frequently occur in piping systems. This study aims to evaluate the performance of the clean water distribution network in the Lobunta Housing Complex, Banjarwangunan Village, using EPANET 2.2 software. The methodology employs quantitative descriptive analysis and hydraulic simulation based on pipeline network data, water demand, elevation, and customer usage patterns. The parameters analyzed include pressure, flow rate, flow velocity, and the level of water loss (Non-Revenue Water/NRW). The simulation results estimate that the network consists of 172 junctions with a total pipe length of approximately 9,988 meters. Water pressure ranges from 12.19 to 20.05 meters and meets the technical standards of Ministry of Public Works Regulation No. 18/PRT/M/2007. However, the maximum flow velocity of 0.27 m/s remains below the established minimum standard. Furthermore, the water loss rate of 40.75% indicates that the distribution system is not yet operating efficiently. Therefore, an evaluation and improvement of the network are necessary to enhance distribution efficiency and the quality of clean water service.

Human error remains one of the leading causes of accidents in construction projects due to the complexity of work activities, dynamic working conditions, and various hazards present on construction sites. Safety knowledge, safety skills, and the work environment are recognized as important factors in reducing human error. However, studies that integrate these factors into a single validated framework remain limited. This study aims to identify and validate the factors and indicators influencing human error reduction in construction projects. Data were collected through questionnaire surveys administered to Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) personnel working in construction companies in Indonesia and were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results identified four key factors, namely safety knowledge, safety skills, work environment, and human error reduction, represented by 17 valid and reliable indicators. The findings indicate that safety knowledge, safety skills, and the work environment contribute significantly to reducing human error in construction projects. This study provides an empirically validated framework of factors and indicators to support the development of safety management strategies aimed at reducing human error and improving safety performance in construction projects.
