Abstract

Road maintenance is important to maintain the safety and comfort of road users. Surveys are needed to determine the condition of cross-country roads. Road maintenance management along with budget costs based on the results of the correlation between the IRI method values (International Roughness Index) Software-based Roadlab Pro against the value of road surface damage by the PCI method (Pavement Condition Index) and Bina Marga can be done for the purpose of simplifying the survey process in evaluating road conditions and how to properly handle damage to the Pondok-Pulau Sangkar road section in Kerinci Regency. IRI value based on Roadlab Pro can be used to assess road conditions based on the PCI method because it has values that influence each other based on the results of correlation regression analysis with a coefficient value of 88.7%. Determination of the road maintenance budget is made based on 3 proposed scenarios which include maintenance according to needs or when damage occurs, maintenance every year, and periodic maintenance in the form of improvements in the first year, routine maintenance in the second year, and periodic maintenance from the third to the fifth year.

Abstract

Railway track subsidence at Km 206+100–Km 206+560 of the Gilas Emplacement, Divre IV Tanjung Karang, is caused by the interaction between saturated soil conditions, high groundwater levels, and an underperforming drainage system. Field investigations show that the 0–5 m soil layer is dominated by high-plasticity clay, while the 5–10 m layer consists of sandy clay, and the layer below 10 m is silty sand. Geoelectrical data indicate groundwater levels as shallow as 1.5 m below the rail head, causing soil saturation and resulting in pumping effects under dynamic train loading. This accelerates the formation of slip surfaces and decreases slope safety factors (SF < 1.5). This study evaluates drainage improvements by designing an open drainage channel system. Calculations show that the planned channel capacity is 2.6 m³/s, exceeding the runoff discharge in Area A1 (2.5 m³/s). Existing channel dimensions are also adequate to convey runoff. Additionally, subsurface drainage and vertical drain systems are required to lower groundwater levels and maintain slope stability. The recommended HDPE pipe diameter is 14 inches, adjusted to field availability.

Abstract

Efficient irrigation is essential for supporting agricultural productivity in Nganjuk Regency. The Ngudikan Kiri irrigation network, covering 645 hectares, was selected as the research object due to its suboptimal performance, which affects water distribution to farmers. This study aims to evaluate the network’s performance using the KP-01 (2013) guidelines and to formulate improvement strategies through the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Data were collected through field surveys, documentation, and interviews, and analyzed using a descriptive quantitative approach. The results provide priority recommendations for improvement strategies that align with actual field conditions. The results of the Water Balance analysis show that the highest water deficit during the rice planting season reached 7.58 m³/second in May I, while the maximum deficit during the secondary crop planting season was 1.56 m³/second in November I. AHP analysis revealed that the social support criterion has the highest weight of 0.23, with the main priority on channel rehabilitation (0.24), followed by scheduled irrigation (0.23) and measured water gates (0.20). This study emphasizes the need for improvements in irrigation management through infrastructure enhancement and more efficient water distribution regulation so that the irrigation system functions optimally and supports sustainable agricultural productivity.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and evaluate the application of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) using the HIRARC (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control) approach to improve the performance of workers in the environment of PT X's TTN-001 exploration well drilling project. The research method used is a descriptive quantitative approach through distributing questionnaires, field observations, interviews, and document analysis. A total of 80 respondents from the field workforce became the research sample. The results showed that the highest potential hazards came from work activities at heights, welding without eye protection, and high noise exposure. Risks were assessed using a risk matrix based on likelihood and impact levels. Risk control is carried out based on the control hierarchy which includes elimination, substitution, engineering, administrative, and the use of PPE as a last resort. The evaluation showed that although PPE had been provided, compliance with its use was still low. Recommendations were given in the form of strengthening training, periodic HSE audits, increased supervision and procurement of more ergonomic PPE.

Abstract

In land transportation, the terminal is part of the transportation service network as a node of a series of land transportation networks in each city. High travel rates by public vehicles such as buses that are not matched by good traffic arrangements will cause problems such as congestion. The study was conducted to determine the pattern of travel movements (Trip Distribution) of bus passengers in several regions in East Java in an Origin-Destination Matrix (MAT) using the Synthetic Method, namely the Unsconstrained Gravity Model. Alternative methods for calibrating parameters in the gravity model are α and β, which are parameters of the barrier function (accessibility) between zones . The approach used in this research is a quantitative descriptive approach using the Google Earth application media to measure the distance between one city and another. The results obtained Alpha (α) value of 5.82 and the best R Square of 0.0917 with y = 13.682x for MAT Power and Beta (β) value of 0.0098 and the best R Square value of 0.0635 with y = 1E - 10x.  The distribution modeling formula for East Java zone bus passengers .

Abstract

The study analyze the pumping capacity of the Pulopancikan Pump House in flood control efforts in Gresik Regency, Indonesia. The area frequently experiences inundation due to high rainfall, sedimentation, and tidal backflow. The research applied hydrological and hydraulic analyses using maximum daily rainfall data from three climatology stations (Tambak Ombo, Bunder, and Cerme) for the period 2014–2023. Rainfall frequency analysis was conducted usings: Gumbel, Normal, Log Normal, and Log Pearson Type II. Based on the Smirnov–Kolmogorov and Chi-Square goodness-of-fit tests, the Log Pearson Type III distribution was selected as the most appropriate model. The design flood discharge was determined using the Rational Method, yielding 23.654 m3 for a 10-year return period. The planned pumping capacity is 4.25 m3/s, consisting of three main pumps and one sludge pump, which is considered sufficient to manage the runoff volume within a two-hour operating time. Evaluation results indicate  the Pulopancikan pump system effectively reduces inundation when operated in stages. However, the existing drainage channel capacity needs improvement to accommodate combined flows from rainfall and pump discharge.

Abstract

An intersections are areas where two or more roads meet and often cause traffic conflicts that can lead to congestion and accidents, especially in locations near crowded centers. With the development of cities such as Bojonegoro, which has industrial, tourism, and educational activities, the volume of vehicles at certain intersections has increased rapidly, especially at certain hours. One of the busy intersections in Bojonegoro is the Four-Way, which requires effective traffic management through the use of traffic signal devices (APILL). However, the physical conditions of this intersection, such as unclear left-turn signs and limited visibility, increase the risk of vehicle conflicts. These conditions prompted the idea to conduct research analyzing the performance of the traffic signal system at the Four-Way Intersection of Jl. Lisman, Jl. Veteran, Jl. Ngampel, and Jl. Pemuda Timur in Bojonegoro using the PKJI 2023 method. This study aims to analyze the performance of the APILL at this intersection and identify alternative phases required if the APILL performance is inadequate, with the hope of improving understanding of traffic performance at this intersection, evaluating road service levels from a delay perspective, and providing useful data for relevant parties and future

Abstract

Construction projects in semi-arid coastal zones operate within complex environmental and managerial constraints that heighten vulnerability to multiple risks. This research analyzes those dynamics through a systematic application of Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) to identify, classify, and prioritize critical risk factors affecting project reliability. The results show that material shortages, heat exposure, and unstable energy supply are the most pressing risks, often intensified by weak procurement systems, inaccurate budgeting, and low compliance with environmental and safety protocols. A comparison of managerial and field-level perceptions reveals notable gaps: while both groups recognize similar degrees of severity, on-site workers view risks as more frequent and difficult to detect, reflecting unequal access to information and experience. When combined, the Probability–Impact Matrix and Risk Priority Number assessment indicate that most hazards fall within the high-risk category. The study argues that sustainable construction in such climates requires a move from reactive to anticipatory management. It recommends optimizing local resources through adaptive technologies, reinforcing safety culture and workforce skills, and ensuring transparency via digital governance tools. These integrated measures strengthen resilience, operational reliability, and environmental sustainability in resource-constrained construction contexts
