Abstract

Cases of bullying can occur at all levels of education, from elementary to tertiary levels. Bullying in schools is a serious social problem that must be paid full attention to by the school, especially the principal who leads the school. The purpose of this research is to explore how principals deal with bullying in their schools. The research was conducted in schools where bullying had occurred. Qualitative methods and purposive sampling were used in this study. Three principals were selected and became research participants, the three participants came from two elementary schools and one senior high school. There are three main themes obtained from the results of this study. The first theme is knowing the causes of bullying in schools. The second theme is implementing intervention strategies to prevent bullying in schools. The third theme is the role of the principal in overcoming bullying in schools. Recommendations in this study are given to assist school principals and the entire School Management Team in managing bullying in schools. The first recommendation is that all schools must have a policy on how to deal with bullying in schools, and this policy must be communicated to all educators and students in schools. Consequences for not complying with the policy must be implemented. Second, hold regular meetings with parents to discuss student behavior. Third, sensitive to strange events around and paying attention to the target and the culprit. In conclusion, the principals did their best to implement several strategies to solve the bullying problem.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to understand the role of educators or teachers in implementing the curriculum of Al-Islam Kemuhammadiyahan in the Aisyiyah Children's Park Bustanul Athfal Palopo. Methods are used through qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. In this study, the head of the school and the teacher were six informants. Located at Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal I, II, and II schools in Palopo Data collection methods involve observations and in-depth interviews, while data analysis is done by applying triangulation. The results of the research showed that (1) the learning planning on the curriculum of Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal City Palopo School involves the semester activity plan, weekly activity plan, and time allocation. During two semesters of 34 weeks, the curriculum covers a wide range of themes, such as Me, My Family, Environment, Animals, Plants, Vehicles, the Universe, and My Country. These themes are scattered into diverse sub-themes, tailored to a variety of children's developmental environments. (2) Implementation of learning on the curriculum of Bustanul Athfal Palopo is carried out through several learning methods, including methods of giving examples, the method of listing, the method of advice, prohibitions, and orders, as well as methods of experiencing physically and internally, applied by the teacher based on the plan of implementation of daily learning.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to establish a correlation between the practice of watching English language films and the utilization of English subtitles as a substitute method to enhance students' English reading comprehension. The research was carried out at SMA Negeri 1 Tirtayasa. This study seeks to ascertain the extent to which students' comprehension improves by regularly watching English films with subtitles. The employed methodology is quantitative, focusing on a population of students in classes XII Science 1, 2, 3, and 4. Subsequently, a total of 76 students were included in the sample. The collected data pertains to the English reading comprehension test of the students. The independent variable in this study refers to the practice of watching English films with English subtitles, whereas the dependent variable pertains to the English reading comprehension skills of the students. The investigation yielded substantial data. The term "2-tailed" refers to a statistical test that considers both directions of an effect or relationship.The data acquired from the control class was 77.29, whereas the data from the experimental class was 79.63. Consequently, the treatment has had a notable impact on the kids' reading comprehension, resulting in a commendable level of proficiency. The employed methodology is highly effective in enhancing the students' English reading comprehension.

Abstract

Implementing curriculum accommodations through learning intervention is critical to supporting learning and special programmes in sociology lessons for students with special needs in class X. The objective of this work is to describe the evaluation of learning intervention for students with visual impairments in order for them to be agile in social mobility and communication orientation (OMSK) and skilled in learning sociological paradigms as part of curriculum accommodation that has been carried out. This study applied a descriptive qualitative method based on the Context-Input-Proccess-Product-Outcome (CIPPO) evaluation model, with data collected through interviews, observations, and document evaluation. The learning material was sociological paradigm that was carried out using several methods, including the observation method assisted by peer reporting to analyse the social facts paradigm; the action motive interview method to analyse the social definition paradigm; and reward type interviews to determine the social behaviour paradigm. The results of this study highlighted the successful implementation of curriculum accommodation as observed through the CIPPO technique, with all components completed. The impact of curriculum accommodation is an improvement in OMSK, for example, the special needs student is more agile for getting around the school. Furthermore, the special needs student is skilled at conducting well-mannered and polite interviews with teachers or staff members at school.

Abstract

Fenomena globalisasi telah diakui sebagai faktor penentu terkikisnya prinsip-prinsip moral dan integritas pribadi, sehingga menimbulkan kekhawatiran besar sehingga memerlukan keterlibatan banyak pihak terkait. Guru mempunyai peran penting sebagai pengajar dan pendidik yaitu mendidik karakter siswa. Tujuan dari analisis kebutuhan ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana guru dapat memanfaatkan kearifan lokal dengan lebih baik untuk meningkatkan Profil Pelajar Pancasila melalui penggunaan media. Pada penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan tiga teknik pengumpulan data yaitu teknik wawancara, teknik angket kebutuhan, dan teknik observasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru kelas V SDN Bancaran 3 Bangkalan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah guru membutuhkan suatu media yang mampu memfasilitasi guru untuk mengajarkan peserta didik tentang permainan tradisional Madura dengan rinci.

Abstract

Bunuh diri menjadi salah satu isu kesehatan mental pada remaja. Faktor pendorong bunuh diri berasal dari adanya ide bunuh diri. Faktor protektif dapat menjadi hal yang dapat mencegah munculnya ide bunuh diri pada remaja. Beberapa penelitian telah menghasilkan temuan faktor protektif ide bunuh diri remaja. Namun belum ada sintesis ilmiah mengenai faktor protektif tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui faktor protektif ide bunuh diri remaja. Metode penelitian menggunakan Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan alur PRISMA. Hasil terdapat 32 artikel yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan menjadi objek kajian. Temuan penelitian faktor protektif ide bunuh diri remaja sebanyak 20 faktor protektif aspek pribadi/internal diri remaja, 17 faktor protektif aspek sosial/eksternal diri remaja, dan 1 faktor protektif aspek akademik/eksternal diri remaja. Kesimpulannya adalah kajian ini dapat menjadi landasan ilmiah untuk membuat kebijakan pencegahan bunuh diri remaja. Penelitian lanjutan menjadi kebutuhan berikutnya untuk merancang eksperimen intervensi yang dapat mengurangi ide bunuh diri remaja sesuai konteks lokalitas masing-masing daerah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis Damar Kurung sebagai salah satu Budaya Lokal Kabupaten Gresik melalui Penjelajahan Museum Virtual Masmundari pada Mapel Bahasa Indonesia di Sekolah Dasar. Peserta didik tingkat Sekolah Dasar perlu dikenalkan dengan Budaya Lokal setempat untuk membentuk karakter anak, dengan identitas dan jati diri leluhurnya. Fokus masalah yang akan diteliti oleh peneliti yakni terkait banyaknya Peserta didik tingkat Sekolah Dasar yang kurang bahkan tidak mengenal Budaya Lokal yang ada ditempatnya. Hal ini tentu sangat disayangkan, mengingat Budaya Lokal Gresik khususnya Damar Kurung merupakan seni tradisi daerah yang harus dilestarikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi deskriptif kuantitatif, yang mana pengumpulan datanya dilakukan menggunakan metode penelitian survei dengan Menyusun kuesioner dan melakukan wawancara sehingga dapat ditemukan bahwa analisis Damar Kurung melalui penjelajahan Museum Virtual Masmundari dapat menjadi inspirasi pengenalan budaya dalam aspek (menulis, membaca dan memahami, berbicara dan mempresentasikan) pada mata Pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di kelas IV Sekolah Dasar.

Abstract

In this modern education era, affective assessment has become extremely important. This is because affective assessment not only focuses on students' knowledge and skills, but also on their emotional aspects and attitudes. The reality in the field shows that there are still challenges and obstacles in the implementation of affective assessment. Therefore, this research needs to be conducted. The purpose of this research is to understand the dynamics of affective assessment in MI Schools and to seek solutions for challenges in its implementation. The research method used is qualitative research with a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach, which involves observation, interviews, and document analysis. The results of the research show that affective assessment is generally carried out through observation and recording of student behavior by teachers, as well as input from parents. However, there are still challenges in the implementation of affective assessment, especially related to objectivity and interpretation of results. Several strategies and solutions have been used and proposed, such as training and workshops on affective assessment, the use of more systematic and efficient assessment tools, and collaboration with students' parents. From this research, it can be concluded that improving the quality of affective assessment in MI Schools requires efforts from various parties, not only teachers but also parents and the school community. For further research, it is suggested to conduct experimental research to test the effectiveness of the solutions proposed in this research and the development of more systematic and efficient affective assessment tools.

Abstract

This study looked at the effectiveness of using English music as a learning tool to improve listening skills in a group of 132 students. Snowball sampling was used to select a sample of 54 students. This research uses a quantitative research methodology, with two groups: an experimental group that uses English songs as a learning tool, and a control group that uses traditional teaching methods. This research should explain how English songs can improve students' listening skills. In addition, this research seeks to understand the causes of students' poor listening skills so that appropriate treatment can be implemented in the classroom. The research results revealed a significant positive impact on students' listening skills when learning through English songs. This method substantially improved the listening skills of the experimental group. This research shows that incorporating songs and lyrics into the classroom is the most effective method for improving students' listening skills. These positive results were caused by good student responses and improved listening comprehension skills. In conclusion, this study advocates the integration of English music into language education as a powerful tool for developing listening skills. Positive feedback from students and demonstrated improvements in listening comprehension underscore the effectiveness of this innovative pedagogical approach. This research provides valuable insights for language educators and curriculum developers seeking innovative and engaging methods to improve language acquisition.

Abstract

Penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan bertujuan untuk membuktikan korelasi antara gaya kepemimpinan, kepuasan kerja dan komitmen organisasi terhadap kinerja guru yang ada di SMK Muhammadiyah Lasem. Keseluruhan guru yang mengajar di SMK Muhammadiyah Lasem yang berjumlah 30 guru merupakan populasi penelitian. Metode pengambilan sampel yang dipilih dalam penelitian yang dilakukan adalah mengacu pada teknik sampel jenuh. Sampel pada penelitian yang telah dilakukan yakni keseluruhan guru SMK Muhammadiyah Lasem yang berjumlah 30 guru. Analisis regresi linier berganda menjadi teknik analisis yang diterapkan pada penelitian. Kuesioner menjadi teknik pengumpulan data yang dipilih oleh peneliti yang disebarkan kepada 30 guru. Temuan penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan dan kepuasan kerja berkorelasi secara positif tidak signifikan terhadap kinerja guru. Sedangkan komitmen organisasi berkorelasi secara positif signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Mengacu pada pengujian determinasi diperoleh besaran nilai Adjusted R Square adalah 0.829. Hal ini menegaskan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan, kepuasan kerja dan komitmen organisasi dapat menjelaskan terhadap kinerja guru sebesar 82.9%, sedangkan sisanya yakni senilai 17.1% kinerja guru dipengaruhi atau dijelaskan di luar model yang diajukan pada penelitian ini.
