Abstract

Kreativitas siswa pada pembelajaran Seni Budaya dan Prakarya (SBdP) khususnya dalam menggambar perlu ditingkatkan dengan melakukan inovasi model pembelajaran yang tepat, terutama yang mendorong siswa untuk aktif dan kreatif selama proses pembelajaran. Inovasi model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PJBL) muncul sebagai solusi yang dapat menyelesaikan tantangan yang dihadapi saat ini untuk meningkatkan kreativitas siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki pengaruh inovasi pembelajaran model Project Based Learning (PJBL) sebagai upaya peningkatan kreativitas siswa menggambar komik edukatif pada mata pelajaran SBdP kelas V. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara dan observasi dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik triangulasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan mengimplementasikan inovasi pembelajaran model Project Based Learning (PJBL) dapat meningkatkan kreativitas siswa menggambar komik edukatif pada mata pelajaran SBdP kelas V di SD ‘P’ kapanewon Rongkop. Berdasarkan hasil observasi kreativitas siswa terdapat 6 dari 10 siswa yang belum berkembang. Setelah dilakukan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan inovasi pembelajaran model Project Based Learning (PJBL) melalui menggambar komik edukatif maka hasil kreativitas siswa meningkat. Terbukti 1 dari 10 siswa sudah mulai berkembang (MB), 7 dari 10 siswa sudah berkembang sesuai harapan (BSH), 2 dari 10 siswa berkembang sangat baik (BSB). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu inovasi pembelajaran model Project Based Learning (PJBL)melalui menggambar komik edukatif terbukti beperengaruh terhadap peningkatkan kreativitas siswa pada mata pelajaran SBdP kelas V.

Abstract

The effort to meet the target material according to the applicable curriculum often leads to a learning approach that focuses on the quantity of material taught rather than ensuring that students truly understand each concept taught. The essentialist principles advocate for a focus on the comprehension of key concepts rather than mere breadth of content. Amid discussions on various learning approaches in science education at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, questions arise regarding the relevance and application of essentialist principles. This research aims to explore the implementation of essentialist principles in science education at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. The study took place at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Nurul Qomar in Palembang. The method employed was a qualitative approach with data collection conducted through interviews. Data analysis followed the framework outlined by Miles and Huberman. The findings of this research can be summarized as follows: the implementation of essentialist principles in science education at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah has a significantly positive impact. The application of essentialist principles assists students in gaining a deeper understanding of fundamental science concepts, focusing on core knowledge and skills, and enhancing their interest in the subject. Therefore, this approach can serve as a strong foundation for improving the quality of basic education in the field of science.

Abstract

This case study looked at the effect of task-based instruction on students' higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) in an assignment on learning design's course. Students completed the task in Indonesia after studying the module either in English or the translation in Indonesian. Forty-seven students engaged in the completion of the task. Students provided reflections following their assessments to evaluate HOTS. This research demonstrated that task-based learning has a beneficial impact on HOTS. Engaging in extensive reading, with or without the assistance of translation tools, enhances understanding. Objective examinations that are well-designed provide an effective evaluation of the grasp of concepts. Reflections showed the challenges students encountered in their learning, emphasizing the significance of comprehensive reading and repeated reading to complete the task sucessfully. This study validates the capacity of task-based learning to improve HOTS, demonstrating the overall advantages of comprehensive reading and the need for well-designed evaluations and self-analysis.

Abstract

Learning motivation was identified as a crucial aspect in enhancing students' critical thinking abilities. The presence of learning motivation in students triggered them to sharpen their critical thinking skills during their educational journey. This study aimed to conduct a literature review examining critical thinking skills from the perspective of student learning motivation. The research method employed was the Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Data collection involved identifying and examining all articles that shared the same research topic. A total of 22 national and international journal articles from various sources were used. The research found that learning motivation in mathematics played a significant role in students' critical thinking abilities. Students with low learning motivation tended to learn out of obligation, impacting their critical thinking skills. They were inclined to solve problems procedurally, without deeply engaging or critically analyzing the issues and answers.

Abstract

Improved critical thinking skills are essential for students to face the challenges of the 21st century. The level of student readiness to learn is a factor that affects critical thinking skills. The concept of readiness to learn is closely related to the initial ability of students. The purpose of this study was to describe mathematical critical thinking skills based on students' learning readiness. This study used a type of qualitative descriptive research and focused on three grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Mantup Lamongan as research subjects. Each student represents a different stage of learning readiness, namely: one newly developing learning readiness student, one learning readiness student is developing, and one learning readiness student is proficient. Research data were obtained from the results of cognitive diagnostic assessments, test results of mathematical critical thinking skills, interview findings, and observations. Data analysis of cognitive diagnostic assessment results was used to categorize students' learning readiness. While the analysis was carried out on the results of mathematical critical thinking skills tests and interviews, using FRISCO critical thinking ability indicators, namely Focus, Reason, Inference, Situation, Clarify, and Overview. Research findings show that there are variations in students' mathematical critical thinking skills based on readiness to learn. Students with readiness for new learning develop only meet 1 indicator, namely focus. Students with a growing readiness to learn meet 2 indicators, namely focus and reason. Students with readiness to learn have proficiently met all FRISCO indicators.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how the influence of children's song media on improving English pronunciation skills of fourth grade students of MI Bina Ummat. This study has a single group pretest and posttest design and is experimental in nature. Thirty children from the fourth grade of MI Bina Ummat became the study population. The t test was used in the analysis of this research data. The findings of the study showed that the children's song media had an impact on students' English pronunciation, with t count 8.101 > t table 2.042, an average value of 54.00 for pre-test data and an average value of 80.64 for post-test data . The difference in the average value is 24.64 with a percentage of 42%. The results show how much the student's pronunciation ability changes. The use of children's song media has an impact on improving the English pronunciation skills of grade IV students at MI Bina Ummat, according to these findings.

Abstract

This research aims to determine students' understanding of Indonesian fauna through collage learning. This research uses a qualitative research approach. The sample in this research is class 2 students at SD Negeri Puro Pakualaman 1 consisting of 7 children. The data collection techniques used are observation and tests. Data analysis in this study used a comparison of the average pretest and posttest results. The research results showed that the average score had increased by 22%. Thus, collage learning was able to increase students' understanding of Indonesian fauna. The collage learning carried out is able to foster children's enthusiasm for participating in the learning being carried out.

Abstract

Mathematics plays an important role in developing a systematic, rational, and critical mindset, as well as the development of contemporary science, science, and technology. This study discusses the importance of the ability to communicate mathematically in the context of mathematics learning and to find errors in mathematical communication in everyday situations, especially in terms of understanding the concept of fractional numbers. The purpose of this study is to improve the understanding of mathematical communication skills by using Guided Discovery Learning model. Secondary data were collected from articles and journals related to the Guided Discovery Learning model in this study. This model is considered as a solution to improve students' mathematical communication skills by actively involving them in discovering and understanding mathematical concepts. The literature method was used in this study. Understanding the concept of fractions, measuring mathematical communication skills, and analyzing mathematical communication errors in daily conversations are the topics of discussion. This research shows that mathematical communication skills are very important in learning mathematics, and the Guided Discovery Learning model can help students discover things by themselves. In conclusion, this study highlights the importance of mathematical communication skills in mathematics learning and suggests Guided Discovery Learning model as an effective method to improve mathematical communication skills.

Abstract

The importance of quality education in building a society that contributes to national development. The quality of education in Indonesia is currently still low. The problems often faced in the quality of education are economic factors and budget funds. Therefore, the government launched a compulsory education program and a free school program. This research aims to determine (1) the quality of education at SMA Negeri 1 Pagar Alam, (2) the positive and negative impact of free schools on the quality of education at SMA Negeri 1 Pagar Alam and (3) solutions to minimize the negative impact of free schools on the quality of education in Pagar Alam 1 Public High School. The method in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results of this research are (1) the quality of education is very good, seen in every component of education, both input, process and output, (2) the positive impact is to provide opportunities for students who are less fortunate but have good academic and non-academic achievements to learn. at SMA Negeri 1 Pagar Alam, while there is no negative impact on the quality of education, and (3) the solution to minimize the negative impact of free schools on the quality of education is by coordinating with parents and guardians, monitoring student success levels and utilizing available facilities and infrastructure. there is a maximum.

Abstract

Lengger was originally a means of fertility ritual ceremonies and was danced by men, but now due to the transformation of social and cultural values in Wonosobo, lengger has turned into a means of entertainment and as a performing art. The dancers are performed by women and the performance also has a more mature concept. The aim of this research is to find out the social and cultural values that occur in Wonosobo society so that Lengger art also changes and learning efforts. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach using the literature study method. The objectives of this research are: Socio-cultural values of the people in Wonosobo. Lengger transformation form in Wonosobo. Application of socio-cultural values to lengger transformation in Wonosobo. The socio-cultural values of the people in Wonosobo include mutual cooperation, respect for opinions, no distinction between race, ethnicity and religion, tepo selira, tolerance, preserving traditional arts and culture, developing and advancing culture, etc. The form of lengger transformation in Wonosobo occurs when the community takes part and plays an active role in the development of the show. The application of socio-cultural values to the transformation of lengger in Wonosobo for learning lengger art in Wonosobo uses the educational concept of Ki Hajar Dewantara, namely the tricenter of education. The three educational centers include: the family realm, the school realm, and the youth movement (community) realm.
