Abstract

The aim of this service activity is to empower the community by processing waste into fashion products using heat press techniques to increase community income in Senggigi Village, West Lombok Regency. The problem faced by partners is related to the large amount of plastic waste which, if burned, can produce dangerous compounds, apart from that, plastic waste can also damage the sustainability and beauty of the Senggigi tourism area. The method used to overcome this problem is in the form of community service activities which will be carried out to process waste into Fashion products using the Heat Press Technique, which is a new breakthrough in handling waste which can also increase income for the local community. As a result of partner activities, they have the ability to overcome the problem of increasing waste volume by managing waste into fashion products using heat press techniques.

Abstract

Compost fertilizer is a type of fertilizer used by the Nur Alam community to enrich their agricultural land. This fertilizer is needed in large quantities every week. In this community service activity, a composting machine was created to assist Nur Alam Tani with their fertilizer needs. The function of this machine is to accelerate the compost production process by shredding waste into smaller sizes. The machine has dimensions of 490 x 455 x 950 mm. An electric motor with a power specification of 1Hp is used as its drive. This machine is capable of processing waste at a rate of 5 kg/hour, producing shredded material with an approximate size of 10 mm. The output from this machine has greatly benefited Nur Alam Tani, as prior to the use of this device, they were only able to produce about 10 kg of fertilizer per week.

Abstract

Kelompok Tani (Poktan) Hidup Baru is located in Cempaka District, East Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Regency, 123 km away from Sriwijaya University. Poktan Hidup Baru was established in 2020 by farmers in Cempaka District and is led by Ali Fauzan. With 29 members, most of them are rice and fruit farmers. The limited technology and literacy of the farmers means that they are not able to innovate. Therefore, the main problem in the Community Partnership Empowerment Programme is the lack of digital literacy and agricultural knowledge management skills. Therefore, this PKM programme aims to introduce knowledge management and improve farmers' skills in using the internet and mobile-based agricultural applications. In addition, this PKM programme also aims to support the transformation of higher education through the production of scientific publications and audio-visual works.Service activities are carried out in five stages: first, preparation; second, production of materials; third, advice; fourth, support; and fifth, monitoring.  The team provides advice and training on the culture of knowledge sharing and the use of agricultural applications such as Plantix. This application can help solve agricultural problems in identifying pests and plant diseases, irrigation and marketing agricultural products. The positive response from the Hidup Baru farmer group indicates the need for similar training in the future to improve farmers' knowledge and skills.

Abstract

In the current industrial era, Indonesia is experiencing significant developments in the competition of goods and services. Business actors compete with each other to dominate market share, which drives them to develop innovations and improve productivity. The human factor is a key element in enhancing company performance, where effective management can improve efficiency and productivity. This research focuses on PT Rusunda Medika Abadi, a healthcare company specializing in male circumcision. The company faces challenges related to poor posture among doctors during procedures, caused by the use of manual techniques, which can lead to fatigue and musculoskeletal issues, ultimately affecting performance and workplace safety. This activity poses a risk of causing musculoskeletal disorders complaints among the workforce. Therefore, a posture analysis of the doctor was conducted to identify those risks and provide improvement suggestions. The Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA). methods is used to assess the workers' posture during activities. The research results are expected to provide improvement recommendations in accordance with ergonomic and biomechanical principles, thereby enhancing worker performance and health as well as reducing the risk of injury.

Abstract

Unpredictable climate change poses significant challenges for farmers at Gapoktan Lembang Agri in maintaining sustainable production. To support quick and precise decision-making, a mobile-based monitoring system has been developed, enabling real-time monitoring of greenhouse temperature and humidity through an Android application. This system utilizes IoT sensors to measure environmental parameters, with the collected data transmitted to a server via the internet and displayed directly in the application. The application is designed using Jetpack Compose to ensure a responsive and user-friendly interface, even for users with limited technical knowledge. Firebase is employed as a real-time data management platform to guarantee data accuracy and processing speed. Key features include live monitoring, access to historical data, and data export capabilities for further analysis. The system has been successfully implemented and tested in the greenhouse of Gapoktan Lembang Agri, demonstrating its ability to provide real-time monitoring and accurate data. Feedback from users indicates ease of use and the application's effectiveness in helping farmers respond proactively to environmental changes.

Abstract

This community service activity aimed to enhance the competency of vocational school teachers in the electro field across Bandung Raya by providing training on the utilization of IoT EduTrainer technology. The workshop followed the ADDIE model, covering both theoretical and practical aspects of IoT implementation, including case studies on smart greenhouse monitoring, RFID-based door locks, and automated watering systems. Participants engaged in hands-on activities, gaining practical experience in setting up IoT systems using Blynk and MQTT platforms. The evaluation of the workshop, conducted through Likert-scale-based questionnaires, revealed a high level of participant satisfaction in terms of content quality, material delivery, and the practical sessions. Although the workshop was successful in achieving its objectives, feedback suggested that allocating additional time for hands-on exercises would further enhance participant understanding and the application of IoT concepts. This training has equipped teachers with valuable skills for integrating IoT into their curricula and has supported the development of future-ready students capable of thriving in the Industry 4.0 era.

Abstract

Institut Teknologi Nasional Bandung (Itenas), in collaboration with Gapoktan Agri Lembang, has developed a web-based monitoring system to help farmers adapt to climate change. The system tracks temperature and humidity in real-time, allowing farmers to take quick actions. It uses technologies like Laravel, Firebase, and data visualization tools such as Chart.js and Plotly.js. The system integrates sensors to measure temperature and humidity, sending data to a server accessible through a web platform, updating every 15 minutes. When implemented in Gapoktan Agri Lembang's greenhouse, local farmers positively responded to the technology, recognizing its potential to improve greenhouse management. This system aims to enhance the efficiency and productivity of horticultural farming in Lembang and serves as a model for adapting agriculture to climate change.

Abstract

Disruption is an inevitable consequence of rapid technological advancements. It occurs when existing human resources struggle to keep pace with the swift evolution of technology. One effective way to address this issue is by organizing training sessions aimed at enhancing skills. The Telecommunications Systems Study Program successfully held a training event designed to improve participants' skills, particularly in technology. The participants, including students from vocational high schools (SMK), expressed high levels of satisfaction with the event. The topics covered ranged from cloud computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, to big data. The training did not merely provide theoretical knowledge but also included practical applications. This community service activity was organized by students serving as the event infrastructure team, with faculty members leading the event as the organizing committee. The participants were students from ten different vocational high schools (SMK) and took place over a period of one day, from 8 AM to 3 PM. Thanks to this training method, the student development significance value reached 33%.
