Abstract

Computational thinking and coding are thinking skills that are recently expected to be acquired by elementary school children as the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 requires students to be familiar with the use of technology. In some developed countries, the two skills have been included in elementary school curriculum. However, the situation is different in the context of Indonesia since teachers or instructors who are able to provide these skills are inadequate. Therefore, this training was intended to socialize and educate the application of coding and computational thinking, especially to elementary school teachers so that they have the ability to equip their students with those skills. The participants of this training were teachers of Labschool UPI Purwakarta. The training was conducted in one day containing the concepts and practices of ICT and computational thinking as well as coding for kids. The result of satisfaction questionnaire distributed to the participants after the training shows a good level of satisfaction in terms of training materials, delivery of materials, and the usefulness of activities as much as 71,4%, 57,1% and 92,9% consecutively. The teachers hope that follow-up trainings are carried out to increase their knowledge and ability in developing technology-based learning.

Abstract

The provision of electricity is crucial, so efficiency must be done because electrical energy is a top priority for residential, industrial, and outdoor lights. All tiers of society must support the government's efforts to ensure the stability of the nation's energy supply through initiatives to boost supply and conserve energy. The public, particularly the lower middle class, do not yet understand the existing technology well; the information of its benefits and drawbacks have not been equally spread. Energy researchers and experts assert that the domestic or household sector's contribution to the attempt to cut power usage is very significant due to the comparatively high share of residential consumers. A project must be carried out to provide counseling in the form of instruction on cost savings when utilizing electrical and electronic gadgets in homes and schools. The counseling results revealed that the teachers of SDN 09 Pontianak Timur were genuinely interested in what they were hearing and in the presented curriculum. Through the counseling technique it is observed that the community is becoming more conscious of the need to utilize electrical energy more intelligently and is gaining new insights into how to do so. These insights help the community promoting energy efficiency in daily life.

Abstract

High Schools of Technology or abbreviated as STT Humble and STT Berea, are two institutions that are under the Director General of Christian Guidance in monitoring and reporting but must be integrated with the Ministry of Education and Culture through a Neofeeder. So far, the existence of STT Humble in Bengkayang Regency and STT Berea in Ansang, Darit, Landak Regency has become the prima donna for undergraduate higher education for prospective Christian teachers and prospective ministers such as missionaries and pastors. However, in practice, the limitations of information technology-based services in both STTs make it very difficult to see the unavailability of IT personnel. For example, the need to coordinate with each other is not documented in meeting minutes until the existence of the Pddikti feeder application, which has turned into a Neofeeder through monthly updates and a SISTER service for BKD services for each lecturer. Through this community service, the implementation of digital-based meeting minutes for STT Humble, and an online cloud for neo feeder, to the management of VMware-based SISTERs for STT Berea were designed.

To accelerate the development of the competence, the community service team of Unisda implemented assistance to exemplify copious literacy-based activities both in school and in the community at Kalen village where the problem of the inappropriateness of literacy-based practices, and the unavailability of a literacy support environment were found. The program was targeted to children of elementary school age of Kalen Village, Lamongan, East Java, Indonesia. Several planned programs were accomplished through three phases; preparation that included identifying community problems and deciding on offered solutions, implementation that covers the execution of the planned programs in twelve weeks, and evaluation. To evaluate the activities, an analysis of observation, interview, and a survey was conducted qualitatively. The result indicated that three major programs were evidenced to accelerate children's literacy competence. The success of the program, therefore, was urgently suggested to be a continuous program to be arranged by the village government.

Abstract

Monitoring learning outcomes in the form of report cards of competencies from students is a routine agenda of teachers to students in each semester. SLBN Cinta Asih Soreang in collaboration with the Politeknik Negeri Bandung Community Service prgram since 2021 has developed a student report card desktop application. This application has been run and successfully implemented, but not all devices are compatible to run the application. In addition, filling out reports can only be done at school because the desktop application storage can only be stored in a local area. In order to overcome these problems, it is necessary to develop an online-based system for digitizing student achievement reports. The proposed solution is the development of a Web-based online application for an information system for student progress report cards at SLBN Cinta Asih Soreang. The result reveals that more than 90% of participants feel this application is useful and can be utilized in the future.
