Abstract

High-fidelity two-qubit gates are essential for scalable quantum computation in superconducting transmon circuits. However, weak anharmonicity can induce leakage outside the computational subspace, while relaxation and dephasing reduce gate fidelity. This study presents a numerical simulation of a CNOT gate in a coupled two-transmon system. Each transmon is modeled as a three-level system, where |0⟩ and |1⟩ form the computational subspace, while |2⟩ is included to evaluate leakage. The control pulses are optimized using a two-channel chopped random basis (CRAB) method. The pulse u_1 (t) is applied to the control transmon as the main drive, while u_2 (t) is applied to the target transmon as a correction drive. The system is simulated under closed- and open-system conditions. In the open system, energy relaxation and pure dephasing are included through the Lindblad master equation. CRAB optimization improves the CNOT basis fidelity from 0.65 to 0.96 in the closed system and from 0.65 to 0.95 in the open system. The final leakage remains small, around 10^(-3). These results indicate that the correction drive can improve CNOT gate performance while keeping leakage low.

Abstract

Critical thinking is one of the essential competencies that students need to compete in the global era. One effective way to develop this competency is by implementing an appropriate learning model integrated with a relevant instructional approach. This study aimed to examine the effect of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by the Deep Learning approach on the critical thinking skills of fourth-grade students in learning norms within the Pancasila Education subject at SD Negeri 007 Samarinda Ilir during the 2025/2026 academic year. The study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The research participants consisted of an experimental class that received instruction through the Problem-Based Learning model integrated with the Deep Learning approach and a control class that received conventional instruction. The research instrument was a validated critical thinking skills test. The findings revealed a significant effect of implementing the Problem-Based Learning model with the Deep Learning approach on students' critical thinking skills. This was supported by the hypothesis testing result, which showed a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating that the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H₁) was accepted. Furthermore, the experimental class achieved a higher mean score than the control class, demonstrating that problem-based learning supported by the Deep Learning approach creates active and meaningful learning experiences while encouraging students to think more critically in understanding the concept of norms. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Problem-Based Learning model integrated with the Deep Learning approach has a positive effect on students' critical thinking skills in Pancasila Education. This learning model is recommended as an alternative instructional strategy to enhance students' active engagement and promote deeper conceptual understanding.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop an ethnoscience-based interactive physics learning media on sound waves that is valid and practical to support students' critical thinking skills. The development of the learning media was motivated by the fact that physics instruction remains predominantly conventional and has not yet integrated local culture as a contextual learning resource. The developed media integrates the concept of sound waves with the local culture of Lombok, particularly the Gendang Beleq tradition, using Articulate Storyline 3. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach based on the 4D model, consisting of the define, design, and develop stages. The resulting product was an ethnoscience-based interactive physics learning media accompanied by supporting instructional materials. Product validation was conducted by three expert validators and two practitioner validators. The practicality test involved 17 students of class XI MIPA B and two physics teachers at SMAN 10 Mataram. The research instruments included validation sheets, reliability sheets, and response questionnaires for both students and teachers. The results showed that the learning media achieved a validity score of 91.11% from expert validators and 98.33% from practitioner validators, both categorized as highly valid. The critical thinking skills instrument obtained validity scores of 91.67% from expert validators and 95.00% from practitioner validators, both categorized as highly valid, with a reliability score of 95.71%, indicating a reliable instrument. The practicality test results showed student and teacher response scores of 93.16% and 98.13%, respectively, both categorized as highly practical. Therefore, the developed learning media is considered feasible for use in physics learning.

Abstract

The Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) is one of the programs in the Merdeka Curriculum aimed at shaping students’ character in accordance with the values of Pancasila through project-based learning. However, in its implementation, teachers still face various challenges, particularly in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of P5 activities. This study aims to analyze the difficulties teachers face in implementing the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) at Gerimak Indah Public Elementary School No. 2 and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors that influence its implementation. This study employs a qualitative approach using a descriptive research design. The research subjects include the principal, teachers, and students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, structured interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research findings indicate that teachers face difficulties in developing project modules aligned with the P5 themes, managing the time allocation for implementation, conducting character-based assessments, and comprehensively understanding the concepts and stages of P5. Factors supporting the implementation of P5 include support from the school principal, collaboration among teachers, and the availability of supportive school facilities and environment. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include budget constraints, a lack of training, and a shortage of references and external partners. It is concluded that enhancing teacher competence through ongoing training and adequate resource support is essential to optimize the implementation of P5 in elementary schools.
