Abstract

High-fidelity two-qubit gates are essential for scalable quantum computation in superconducting transmon circuits. However, weak anharmonicity can induce leakage outside the computational subspace, while relaxation and dephasing reduce gate fidelity. This study presents a numerical simulation of a CNOT gate in a coupled two-transmon system. Each transmon is modeled as a three-level system, where |0⟩ and |1⟩ form the computational subspace, while |2⟩ is included to evaluate leakage. The control pulses are optimized using a two-channel chopped random basis (CRAB) method. The pulse u_1 (t) is applied to the control transmon as the main drive, while u_2 (t) is applied to the target transmon as a correction drive. The system is simulated under closed- and open-system conditions. In the open system, energy relaxation and pure dephasing are included through the Lindblad master equation. CRAB optimization improves the CNOT basis fidelity from 0.65 to 0.96 in the closed system and from 0.65 to 0.95 in the open system. The final leakage remains small, around 10^(-3). These results indicate that the correction drive can improve CNOT gate performance while keeping leakage low.

Abstract

Critical thinking is one of the essential competencies that students need to compete in the global era. One effective way to develop this competency is by implementing an appropriate learning model integrated with a relevant instructional approach. This study aimed to examine the effect of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by the Deep Learning approach on the critical thinking skills of fourth-grade students in learning norms within the Pancasila Education subject at SD Negeri 007 Samarinda Ilir during the 2025/2026 academic year. The study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The research participants consisted of an experimental class that received instruction through the Problem-Based Learning model integrated with the Deep Learning approach and a control class that received conventional instruction. The research instrument was a validated critical thinking skills test. The findings revealed a significant effect of implementing the Problem-Based Learning model with the Deep Learning approach on students' critical thinking skills. This was supported by the hypothesis testing result, which showed a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating that the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H₁) was accepted. Furthermore, the experimental class achieved a higher mean score than the control class, demonstrating that problem-based learning supported by the Deep Learning approach creates active and meaningful learning experiences while encouraging students to think more critically in understanding the concept of norms. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Problem-Based Learning model integrated with the Deep Learning approach has a positive effect on students' critical thinking skills in Pancasila Education. This learning model is recommended as an alternative instructional strategy to enhance students' active engagement and promote deeper conceptual understanding.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop an ethnoscience-based interactive physics learning media on sound waves that is valid and practical to support students' critical thinking skills. The development of the learning media was motivated by the fact that physics instruction remains predominantly conventional and has not yet integrated local culture as a contextual learning resource. The developed media integrates the concept of sound waves with the local culture of Lombok, particularly the Gendang Beleq tradition, using Articulate Storyline 3. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach based on the 4D model, consisting of the define, design, and develop stages. The resulting product was an ethnoscience-based interactive physics learning media accompanied by supporting instructional materials. Product validation was conducted by three expert validators and two practitioner validators. The practicality test involved 17 students of class XI MIPA B and two physics teachers at SMAN 10 Mataram. The research instruments included validation sheets, reliability sheets, and response questionnaires for both students and teachers. The results showed that the learning media achieved a validity score of 91.11% from expert validators and 98.33% from practitioner validators, both categorized as highly valid. The critical thinking skills instrument obtained validity scores of 91.67% from expert validators and 95.00% from practitioner validators, both categorized as highly valid, with a reliability score of 95.71%, indicating a reliable instrument. The practicality test results showed student and teacher response scores of 93.16% and 98.13%, respectively, both categorized as highly practical. Therefore, the developed learning media is considered feasible for use in physics learning.

Abstract

Physics learning on dynamic electricity material still faces problems related to low student participation and collaborative skills during the learning process. This study aims to describe the implementation of lesson study in collaborative learning using the guided inquiry model on dynamic electricity material to improve students’ collaborative skills. The study employed a quantitative descriptive approach involving 17 Physics Education students divided into four learning groups. The lesson study activities were carried out through three stages, namely plan, do, and see. The research instrument consisted of an observation sheet of collaborative skills with 15 assessment indicators using a 1–4 scale. The data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive techniques in the form of percentages. The results showed that the average collaborative skill of students reached 71.57% in the good category. The highest indicators were found in helping peers and open communication, while the lowest indicator was providing support to group members. The implementation of the guided inquiry model through practicum activities increased students’ activeness, interaction, and cooperation during the learning process. Abstract

This study was conducted to investigate the impact of integrating Padlet into the Think-Pair-Share strategy on EFL senior high school students’ reading comprehension and critical thinking skills. A pre-experimental design employing a one-group pretest-posttest approach was used in this study. The participants consisted of 36 tenth-grade students selected from one intact class at a senior high school in Bali. Data were collected through a pretest and a posttest and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics. The findings revealed that the mean posttest score (82.19) was higher than the mean pretest score (62.47). Furthermore, the paired-samples t-test indicated a statistically significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores (Sig. (2-tailed) = .000 < .05). These findings suggest that the implementation of Padlet-integrated Think-Pair-Share was associated with improvements in students’ reading comprehension and critical thinking skills. However, because the study employed a one-group pretest-posttest design without a control group, the findings should be interpreted with caution, and the observed improvements cannot be attributed solely to the treatment. Future studies employing more rigorous experimental designs with control groups are recommended to provide stronger evidence regarding the effectiveness of this instructional approach.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the environmental and technological dimensions of sustainable rice farming practices among rice farming communities in Jonggat Subdistrict, Central Lombok Regency. The research focuses on the integration of cultivation technologies, post-harvest processing, environmental sustainability practices, and the strengthening of farmer institutions to support sustainable agriculture. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed through field observations, in-depth interviews with 20 farmers, and secondary data analysis. Strategic analysis was conducted using the SWOT approach. The results indicate that the adoption of technologies such as the System of Rice Intensification (SRI), organic fertilizers, and the jajar legowo planting system can increase rice productivity by approximately 5–10%. Furthermore, these environmentally friendly agricultural practices contribute to improved soil quality, reduced dependence on chemical fertilizers, enhanced water-use efficiency, and lower greenhouse gas emissions, thereby supporting sustainable environmental management. Nevertheless, technology adoption remains constrained by limited capital, low technological literacy, and continued dependence on subsidized chemical fertilizers. Therefore, strategic efforts such as agricultural digitization, strengthening farmer institutions, continuous extension services, and the development of healthy food certification systems are recommended to improve environmental sustainability and increase the economic value of agricultural products.

Abstract

Batujai Dam Reservoir is a vital water resource infrastructure in Central Lombok Regency with significant potential as a sustainable agrotourism destination; however, its development remains suboptimal. This study aims to identify internal and external factors and formulate sustainable agrotourism development strategies in the Batujai Reservoir Area to support environmental conservation, local economic development, and sustainable regional management. A qualitative-descriptive approach with SWOT analysis was employed through in-depth interviews, field observations, and questionnaires directed at local communities and stakeholders. Results indicate that key strengths include the scenic reservoir landscape, local agricultural activities, and strategic positioning as a gateway to the Mandalika Special Economic Zone. Main weaknesses encompass limited tourism infrastructure and low human resource capacity in tourism management. Opportunities include growing trends in educational nature-based tourism and supportive government policies, while the primary threats are environmental degradation and competition from other tourist destinations. The SWOT matrix yielded four strategic groups: SO (integrated agrotourism package development based on local potential), WO (tourism infrastructure development and human resource capacity building), ST (carrying-capacity-based environmental management), and WT (regulatory and institutional strengthening). The priority strategy is integrated agrotourism development emphasizing education, conservation, and local community empowerment. The proposed strategy also promotes sustainable utilization of natural resources, protection of reservoir ecosystem functions, and enhancement of environmental awareness among local communities and visitors. These findings provide empirical contributions to sustainable tourism destination planning in reservoir-based areas across Indonesia.
