Abstract

Health cadres are the driving forces of posyandu. One of the roles of health cadres is to provide health education. Various factors cause this role to be less than optimal, including the factor of lack of knowledge. The purpose of this activity is to increase the knowledge of health cadres about first aid at home for children with health problems so that cadres are able to disseminate knowledge of mothers to the community, especially groups, and children. Activities in the form of training for cadres on the first aid at home for children with health problems in Rowocacing Village, Kedungwuni District, Pekalongan. Participants in the activity were 19 cadres. The method of activity carried out by providing cadre training for 2 days on emergency material in children includes choking, diarrhea, sprains, and injuries. Training activities are carried out using the learning lecture method, question and answer, discussion, demonstration, and re-demonstration by the participants. Evaluation is done in writing and demonstration. The average initial knowledge score was 48.3 and the final average score was 80.1, so it can be concluded that there is an increase in cadres' knowledge about first aid at home for children with health problems.

Abstract

Young people are the target market for cigarette products because they have a long span of time consuming cigarettes. Smoking is a risk factor for hypertension. Any increase of 20 mmHg in systolic blood pressure or 10 mmHg in diastolic blood pressure can increase the risk of death from ischemic heart disease and stroke. The results of identification of unhealthy student lifestyle behavior patterns are smoking habits and lack of exercise. Identification of average blood pressure is in the pre-hypertension and first-degree hypertension categories. This shows that college students are at high risk of experiencing hypertension in advanced adulthood. Therefore the purpose of this service activity is to educate students to increase awareness in maintaining heart health and avoiding unhealthy habits. The method used is health counseling and group discussions. The results of the activity show an increase in student knowledge and demonstrate a commitment to eliminating smoking habits and lack of exercise.

Abstract

The As-Sakinah Cooperative in Malang City is a cooperative that is in the process of converting to a sharia cooperative. However, this cooperative does not yet have a new draft of article of association and bylaws. Changes in the contents of the article of association and bylaws need to be made because there are some fundamental changes in the conversion to a sharia cooperative, such as changes to the organizational structure, name and operational activities. The service team tries to help solve the problem through workshops to discuss the contents of the new article of association and bylaws. This draft document, the article of association and bylaws, will be ratified through a meeting of cooperative members.

Abstract

This community service program is motivated by empirical facts that the management and preparation of financial reports are not in accordance with standard accounting financial reporting standards at BUMDes Taman Karya Menunggal Tamantirto, Kasihan, Bantul. There is a need to increase the capacity of human resources (HR) in BUMDes, especially in financial management capabilities. The purpose of this activity is to increase HR capacity in terms of financial reporting and company services owned by Tamantirto Village. The methods used were (1) focus group discussions with BUMDes Taman Karya Manunggal, (2) Training on making BUMDes financial reports, and (3) providing tools for preparing financial reports. The result of this activity was an increase in participants' understanding of 80% regarding the importance of BUMDes financial management and financial reports. In addition, there is also an 85% increase in knowledge of making a financial management system.

Abstract

The growth of the science and technology has a positive effect. One of them is infrared, which is employed as a tool for therapeutic purposes. Based on observations at the Puskesmas Kraton Yogyakarta, it is known that there is no new android-based infrared therapy device and that the quality of therapeutic communication with patients is still insufficient. In order to improve the quality of care provided to patients, this activity aims to increase the value of health professionals' understanding of the significance of therapeutic communication and cutting-edge therapeutic tools. The methodology uses grants for Android-based Infrared devices at the Puskesmas Kraton Yogyakarta as well as training and support for therapists' therapeutic communication. As a result of community empowerment, therapists' capacity to communicate therapeutically with patients has increased by up to 87%, and the effectiveness of therapy assisted by infrared devices has increased by up to 85%.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to overcome the problems that are being faced by traders in Tanah Abang regional market, where their turnover dropping drastically during pandemic. The solution offered to solve this problem is by selling on the digital market through social media such as Instagram and Facebook. However, due to their lack of knowledge about digital marketing, learning is needed so that they can use the features that exist in social media applications, including creating marketing content. The activity was carried out by involving one of the communities, namely Tanah Abang Traders Association (HIPTA). The method implementing the activities carried out with a community development model approach is provided in the form of assistance. The results of the activity show that this assistance can be received by participants effectively and participants are being ready to adapt to the digital market.

Abstract

Yudharta Advertising and Press is a productive business unit under the auspices of Yudharta Pasuruan University which is engaged in serving book publishing and printing for the general public. This existence aims to help the community in increasing book literacy. The purpose of this service is to increase service products in the productive business unit Yudharta Advertising and Press. Development activities are carried out with FGDs, creating websites, and developing partnerships. The result of this activity is that partners have increasingly varied service products and can be accessed easily by the wider community for their services to be utilized.

Abstract

The majority of Keranji Guguh Village's residents work in the agricultural sector, which looks after a land area of 805.42 Ha. The product produced is palm oil, while the production of vegetable crops is very low. In addition, the majority of the land near residents' homes is underutilized. This is due to the lack of public interest and knowledge about vegetable cultivation. The purpose of this program is to provide skills for the residents of the village of Keranji Guguh to use the hydroponic system. Hydroponics is a plant cultivation technique that uses water as a growing medium. The activity method is carried out by counseling and practicing how to plant with a hydroponic system. The events held in the village of Keranji Guguh were successful, and the participants could clearly grasp the idea of hydroponic vegetable cultivation using a wick system. As a result, empty yards can be used to grow vegetables.

Abstract

Several months have passed, the Indonesian economy has weakened due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The number of people who are positive for Covid-19 is increasing, while the community's economic strength is weakening. One strategy that can be utilized by MSMEs is the use of technology in marketing or digital marketing. This activity aims to provide counseling on how to build a digital ecosystem with online marketing or digital marketing during the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak. After the activity, partners are able to recognize digital marketing variants, especially using Google My Business to support the existence of MSMEs in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The prevalence of Diabetes Mellitus based on a Doctor's Diagnosis in Population Age ≥ 15 Years according to the 2018 Riskesdas, in the province of South Kalimantan itself is 1.8%. Thus, education regarding risk factors for diabetes mellitus is needed. The purpose of this community service is to provide education to adolescents so that they are able to handle or prevent the occurrence of diabetes mellitus in themselves or their families and are able to utilize health services optimally. The activity is carried out in the form of online counseling. The results of the activity showed an increase in adolescent knowledge regarding diabetes mellitus, its prevention, and herbal ingredients that can be used as medicine.
