Abstract

This study aimed to determine the relationship between physical fitness and learning outcomes among fifth-grade students at Sejahtera 4 Elementary School, Bandar Lampung. This research employed a quantitative approach using a correlational method. The population of this study consisted of all fifth-grade students totaling 30 students. Data collection techniques included the Indonesian Physical Fitness Test (Tes Kebugaran Jasmani Indonesia/TKJI) Phase C to measure students’ physical fitness, while learning outcomes data were obtained from the Mid-Semester Assessment scores in Physical Education (PJOK). Data analysis was conducted using the Product Moment correlation test with a significance level of 5%. The results showed a significant relationship between physical fitness and students’ PJOK learning outcomes at the elementary school level, with a correlation coefficient of r = 0.413 and a significance value of p = 0.023 (p < 0.05). This indicates that the better the students’ level of physical fitness, the higher their PJOK learning outcomes. Therefore, it can be concluded that physical fitness plays an important role in supporting the achievement of PJOK learning outcomes among elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of wall-rebound training on underhand passing skills in volleyball among students participating in the volleyball extracurricular activity at SMA Negeri 10 Bandar Lampung. The research employed an experimental method with a pre-test and post-test design. The sample was divided into an experimental group that received wall-rebound training and a control group that received conventional training. The research instrument was an underhand passing skill test in volleyball. Data were analyzed using the normality test, homogeneity test, and t-test with a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that the data were normally distributed and homogeneous. The first hypothesis test indicated a significant effect of wall- rebound training on underhand passing skills in the experimental group, with t- value = 19,379 > t-table = 2.145 and Sig. = 0.000 < 0.05. The second hypothesis test revealed a significant difference in underhand passing skills between the experimental group and the control group. Furthermore, the third hypothesis test showed a significant difference in the improvement of underhand passing skills between the experimental group and the control group, with t-value = 2.107 > t- table = 2.048 and Sig. = 0.044 < 0.05. It can be concluded that wall-rebound training is effective in improving underhand passing skills in volleyball among students participating in the volleyball extracurricular activity at SMA Negeri 10 Bandar Lampung

Abstract

Student Activity Unit (UKM) Badminton Surabaya State University is a means of developing the interests and talents of students in the field of sports. Member interest plays an important role in supporting the participation and success of SME activities. This study aims to determine the level of interest of badminton SME members of Surabaya State University. Research using quantitative descriptive methods with survey techniques. The subjects of the study were 117 active members of badminton SMEs for the period 2024/2025 male and female. The research instrument is a Likert scale questionnaire that includes intrinsic factors (attention, feelings of pleasure, and activity) and extrinsic factors (role of coach, facilities, family, and environment). The results showed that the interest of badminton SME members was in the medium category as many as 66 respondents (56.41%). High category of 14.53%, low category of 17.95%, very high category of 5.13%, and very low category of 5.98%. Intrinsic factor and extrinsic factor are both in the medium category. It can be concluded that the interest of badminton SME members of the State University of Surabaya is quite good but not optimal, so efforts are needed to increase internal motivation and external support to increase member participation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the correlation between lower limb power, balance, and roundhouse kick ability in students participating in the extracurricular Pencak Silat program at SMP Negeri 1 Pardasuka. A quantitative approach with a correlational design was used. The sample consisted of 31 students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through physical tests to measure lower limb power and balance, as well as an assessment of roundhouse kick ability. The results showed that lower limb power has a significant correlation with roundhouse kick ability (r = 0.582), with a coefficient of determination of 33.9%. Balance also showed a significant correlation with roundhouse kick ability (r = 0.514), with a coefficient of determination of 26.4%. Furthermore, the combination of lower limb power and balance provided a greater contribution to roundhouse kick ability, with a multiple correlation of 0.656 and a coefficient of determination of 43.0%. Based on these findings, it is recommended that the extracurricular Pencak Silat training program focus on improving lower limb power and balance to enhance students' roundhouse kick technique.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of badminton learning for students with intellectual disabilities at the Mandiraja State Special Needs School in Banjarnegara, Jawa Tengah. The study used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects included physical education teachers and students with intellectual disabilities. The results showed that badminton learning still faces several obstacles, especially in adjusting learning objectives, implementing activities, modifying learning, and evaluating learning outcomes. Differences in students' motor and cognitive abilities are the main factors that influence the learning process. Nevertheless, teachers have implemented adapted learning strategies through simplifying materials, modifying equipment and game rules, and evaluating according to individual student abilities. Adapted designed badminton learning can support student engagement and help develop motor skills gradually.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the development of athletes achievement through volleyball activities in improving physical abilities, social skills, and self-confidence of students with speech impairments at Special Needs School. The data analysis technique used is the Miles and Huberman model, which consists of data reduction, namely selecting and simplifying data according to the research focus; data display by organizing data in the form of tables, matrices, or narrative descriptions; and conclusion drawing or verification by summarizing the evaluation results based on the CIPP model. The population of this study includes all students with speech impairments at Special Needs School who participate in volleyball training programs. The research sample was determined using purposive sampling, which involves selecting informants based on the consideration that they have in-depth knowledge of the achievement development process. The sample consists of three students with speech impairments who participate in volleyball training, one physical education PJOK teacher as the coach, the school principal as the policy maker, and several parents as sources of additional supporting information. The results show that the objectives of the volleyball learning and coaching program at Special Needs School are aligned with the goals of adaptive physical education, namely developing motor skills, social abilities, and achievement potential of students with intellectual speech impaired. The program is also directed as a means of participation in competitive events such as O2SN. This indicates that, at the policy level, the school has demonstrated a commitment to the development of sports achievement for students with special needs. However, program planning has not been fully developed based on an analysis of individual student needs. The learning program still refers to the general curriculum with limited modifications, so it has not yet fully accommodated the characteristics of intellectual limitations, such as the ability to understand instructions, concentration, and short-term memory capacity.

Abstract

Accuracy is the key to success in passing rugby. Rugby accuracy tests have been developed and applied for a long time in western countries. However, its application in Indonesia only imitates previous tests by the country without validation and reliability tests. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to find out whether the measuring tool for rugby passing accuracy is suitable for use in the sport of rugby for athletes in Indonesia. The research was carried out by carrying out an accuracy test on 30 participants and then the results were processed and analyzed using IBM SPSS 26. This study uses a quantitative method to identify the results of the validity and reliability data of accuracy test instruments. The data analysis technique used Pearson correlation and Cronbach alpha indicator on IBM SPSS 26. Based on the results of the validity test, the results of Pearson correlation analysis with 30 athletes were declared valid, namely 0.703 > 0.361 and reliable with a Cronbach's alpha value of 0.810. Thus, the instrument can be declared suitable for use as a measuring tool in the research data collection process.
