Abstract

The aim of the research is to find out and describe errors in the form of affixation in the exposition texts of class The affixations analyzed include prefixes, suffixes and combinations of prefixes and suffixes. The basis for raising this problem was because exposition texts written by students still found errors in the application of affixation.The research method uses descriptive qualitative. The research will be conducted at SMA Negeri 13 Bandar Lampung for the 2020/2021 academic year. Data collection uses assignment techniques or expository text writing tests. The results of the students' exposition texts were then analyzed based on qualitative affixation errors.The results of the research show that in the exposition texts of class Prefix errors in exposition text are the most common and frequently encountered errors. Errors occur because students have a wrong understanding of 'di-' as a prefix and di' as a preposition. Suffix errors in students' exposition texts were found but not as many as prefix errors. Mistakes occur because students are not careful in using the ending 'nya' in sentences, causing confusion in the meaning of the sentence. Confix errors in the exposition texts of class X students were found in the forms 'di-kan' and 'di-i'. A fatal mistake for students is using this confix because it separates 'di' from the endings 'kan' and 'i'.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop LKPD teaching materials for writing project-based procedural texts, determine whether this program is feasible and how effective it is for participants in class XI high school. This type of research is research and development (R&D). The method used in the three high schools (SMA) in Bandar Lampung which were used as research sample data was by using observation, interviews and questionnaire distribution methods. Products are tested on students and validated by experts and peers. The results of the research show that the LKPD for Writing Procedure Texts Based on Project Based Learning was successfully developed. Through validation from material experts, media experts, and practitioners, it was stated that the LKPD as a whole was "very feasible", with assessment percentages of 96.47, 88.5, and 94.5. Apart from that, the students' activity sheets succeeded in improving their ability to write procedural texts, with N-gain values ​​of 0.34, 0.33, and 0.53.

Abstract

This quantitative research aims to find out how the poetry writing abilities of class X students are in terms of the physical structure and inner structure of poetry. This research is quantitative research using data collection techniques in the form of performance tests (writing poetry), while the data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics. The research results showed that students' ability to write poetry from the perspective of the physical structure of poetry obtained an average score of 57 with a range of scores from 0 to 59; The inner perspective of poetry received an average score of 64 with a range of scores from 60 to 70. So, overall the ability to write poetry for class X students received an average score of 59 with a range of scores (0-59) in the poor category.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the implementation of Quizizz learning media as a diagnostic assessment tool for class XI students at SMA Negeri 4 Palembang. The research method used is classroom action research which involves active participation from students and teachers. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and analysis of Quizizz evaluation results. The research results show that using Quizizz as a diagnostic assessment tool can increase student engagement in learning and provide a more accurate picture of their understanding of the lesson material. These findings highlight the potential of Quizizz in increasing the effectiveness of the learning process in class XI SMA Negeri 4 Palembang. The practical and pedagogical implications of this research are discussed to enrich and expand learning practices in schools understanding of the use of learning media in the context of diagnostic assessment. understanding of the use of learning media in the context of diagnostic assessment.

Abstract

This development research is research which is the development of Android-based learning media which aims to help and see students' responses when given new media so that researchers can overcome the problems faced by teachers at school. This research is RND research which has a 4D design (define, design, develop, and disseminate). This research is located in the Sambas district of West Kalimantan, precisely at SMPN 2 Semparuk. The focus of the problem in this research was that from the beginning, the researcher started doing an internship and looked at the problems in the class, by looking at the responses of students who were bored with learning, the researcher tried to find a way out of the problem and thus created the development of Android-based learning media to support the Merdeka curriculum which prioritizes student creativity in learning. Android-based learning media for Indonesian language subjects, fiction and non-fiction book material, has been tested for suitability by three media experts, obtaining an overall average of 95% in the "Very Appropriate" category. Meanwhile, the results of testing by three material experts obtained an overall average of 93% in the "Very Good" category. The results of student responses with an overall score of 94% are included in the "Very Good" category. So overall it can be concluded that the learning media developed is very suitable for use in the Indonesian language learning process in fiction and non-fiction material.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to identify the similarities and differences between the two in Sapardi Djoko Damono's novel "Rain Bulan Juni" and Ayu Nesia "Madrasah Cinta". This type of qualitative descriptive research. As intertextual support in the novel, this research data is information that is used as an object of study in every word and sentence expression. Madrasah Cinta by Ayu Neisa and June Rain by Sapardi Djoko Damono. This data was collected through the library method, which means the data was collected through literature. From the analysis data that has been found, it can be informed that the similarities in the novel Rain Bulan Juni and the novel Madrasah Cinta are related to the theme, namely that they are both related to how to live a life-love relationship. The plots both use a mixed plot and both use a third person point of view. Meanwhile, there are differences in background aspects, both in terms of place, time and atmosphere. Apart from that, the difference is related to the message contained in the novel June Rain, namely the existence of tolerance between religious communities. Meanwhile, the message contained in the love madrasa novel as conveyed by the author (Habiburrahman El Shirazy) is that our lives must be neatly arranged, planned... Marriage is the sunnah of the Prophet, don't delay when the time comes.

Abstract

Speaking skills relate to human speech organs that are verbally spoken. Oral language can also determine movements that correspond to the words produced by the speech apparatus. We can combine learning about spoken language by using the dramatization method. This method is a learning activity by staging a story situation from a point of view played by students. By playing roles, students are able to pronounce the words as well as possible so that the message in the story the students act out is conveyed well. This method is considered suitable because it has advantages, including making learning more fun, students interacting with each other in playing existing characters. It also fosters students' critical thinking in determining the message implied in the story. The problem that occurs in the field is that students are less interested in learning because they use methods that are still conventional and that's all. Lack of student concentration in unfocused learning. Students have not been able to solve the problems posed by the teacher as a group. The aim of this research is to improve oral language learning using the dramatization method. Using this learning method in class so that students can understand the roles of characters so that students are able to tolerate them. Learning is more fun by using this dramatization method. The results of this research showed an improvement from cycle I to cycle II. In cycle I there was an increase, namely the average student score in classical was 50.5% with the percentage of classical completion and cycle 2 reaching 83%.

Abstract

The problem discussed in this research is the relationship between mastery of sentence structure and the ability to write paragraphs. This is what becomes an obstacle for students in writing paragraphs that are not good, whereas in a good essay, paragraph by paragraph must be interconnected, and become a unified whole. As a collection of sentences, a paragraph requires coherence between sentences and must show unity of thought in expressing one idea. Meanwhile, students often write several sentences and put them in a collection or group of sentences, but talk about more than one idea that is not related to each other. Students' deficiencies in writing paragraphs are usually in the areas of vocabulary, spelling, and mastery of sentence structure and syntax. Therefore, a user of a language needs understanding to master sentence patterns in a particular language. In relation to conveying ideas in written language, someone will use an essay, which contains paragraphs or paragraphs. The population in this study was class VIII students at SMP Negeri 10 Bandar Lampung, even semester of the 2024 academic year, totaling 210 people. This research was conducted using quantitative descriptive methods. This was done because apart from presenting data, this research also used simple statistical analysis. The technique used in this research is a proportional random sample according to Stratified Proportional Random Sampling. Because the level of student ability varies from one student to another. The selection is taken randomly by showing class ranking.

Abstract

Forms of speech and types of speech in communication are the objectives of this research. The data collected for this research is speech, because qualitative descriptive methods are used. Research and data collection was carried out using note-taking techniques. Speech acts are the subject of this research because of the forms and types of language speech acts in student communication. In everyday conversation, the form of speech is indicated by the speaker and the conversation partner. The three types of speech in communication are declarative, interrogative, and imperative. On the other hand, students use two types of speech: indirect and direct.

Abstract

True or False Questions are the most familiar question type, and it is widely used in testing. The objective of this research is to determine whether or not the True or False Question strategy can improve students' reading ability. Based on the preliminary research at the tenth class of SMA Negeri 1 Punduh Pedada, the writer found that students got difficulties reading especially in reading narrative text. They have problems finding the main idea of the text and comprehending the text. True or False Question is believed can improve their reading ability. In this research, the writer used the experimental method and the population of this research was 238 students in 6 classes. The sample in this research was taken by using the cluster random sampling technique. In the data collecting technique, it was used a written test, the writer gives a test reading test sheet. The kind of test is multiple choice which consists of 40 items, each item consists of five options: A, B, C, D, and E. The point of each item is 2,5. The data analysis by using the t-test formula with the distribution with dk=78 obtained t-table= 0.05 or a significance level of 5% was equal to 1.67 and t-table= 0.01 or a significance level of 1% was equal to 2.39 and t-test= 3.27, it means that t-test was higher than t-table with the significance level 5% and 1% {(3.27>1.67), (3.27>2.39)}. The average score of students' reading ability in the experimental class who were taught by using True or False Questions was higher than students in the control class who used the conventional teaching technique (78.21 was higher than 72.12). Therefore, the writer concluded that a True or False Question was able to increase students' reading ability and activity.
