The aim of JIEMAR ( Journal of Industrial Engineering & Management Research is to publish theoretical and empirical articles that are aimed to contrast and extend existing theories, and build new theories that contribute to advance our understanding of phenomena related with industrial engineering and industrial management in organizations, from the perspectives of Production Planning/Scheduling/Inventory, Logistics/Supply Chain, Quality Management, Operations Management and Operational Research. The contributions can adopt confirmatory (quantitative) or explanatory (mainly qualitative) methodological approaches. Theoretical essays that enhance the building or extension of theoretical approaches are also welcome. JIEMAR selects the articles to be published with a double bind, peer review system, following the practices of good scholarly journals. JIEMAR is published monthly (on-line versions), following an open access policy. On-line publication allows to reduce publishing costs, and to make more agile the process of reviewing and edition. Abstract

This study aims to understand the condition of global maritime defense and the efforts that can be made by Indonesia to build a strong and sustainable maritime defense industry. The defense industry requires different policies, regulations, actions and operations from conventional defense strategies. The maritime defense industry is an important key for Indonesia to further increase its strength to protect a sovereign Indonesian region. This study use a qualitative design perspective which is validated through a triangulation process. The results of this study indicate that the dynamics of global political conditions in various regions are very diverse and efforts to control the area of a particular country are important, so it is important for a major country Indonesia to build a maritime industrial defense to provide an adequate supply of defense and security tools in preparing themselves to face the threats. This is a special concern for the government to encourage the development of maritime defense in accordance with the interests of the times in the global era.

Abstract

In the property and real estate industries on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2016 to 2019, this study intends to evaluate and analyze the effect of Debt to Asset Ratio, Cash Position, and Firm Size on the Dividend Payout Ratio with Profitability as a mediating variable. The population for this study will be property and real estate companies that have been listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for at least four years. Purposive sampling was the method adopted in this study. A deductive strategy was applied in the research. The data collection technique employed in this study was a documentation study, and the type of data used was secondary data. The data is processed using the SmartPLS application and the Partial Least Square data analysis approach is used in this study. The findings of this study show that debt to asset ratio and firm size have no impact on dividend payout ratio, however cash position has a positive impact. The study's findings also reveal that profitability has no effect on the dividend payout ratio when debt to asset ratio, cash position, or business size are taken into account. It is advised that other mediating variables such as business value be replaced in future studies.

Abstract

The postpartum blues are still considered as something worth considering canceled neglected. Family as a Mother-Against Environment that Protects Mother's Development. The function of the family in providing support and satisfaction in the relationship between husband and wife must be optimized properly because it can improve itself as a wife in her new role as a mother. This study discusses family relationships and marital satisfaction with the incidence of postpartum blues in postpartum mothers in the Puskesmas Kramatwatu. This research was conducted using quantitative methods using cross sectional. The sample in this study was obtained proportionally randomly with 69 randomly selected postpartum mothers. The results of the study stated that there was a relationship between family and postpartum blues (P value = 0.016) and there was no correlation between marital satisfaction and postpartum blues (P value = 0.674). Mothers who improve postpartum blues must be helped by, because the mother's role is very opposed to children's development also in opposing the role of mother in the family.

Abstract

The workload of workers affects the performance of these workers. Workers are faced with tasks that must be completed at a certain time. Factors that affect a person experiencing a workload are divided into two factors, namely external factors in the form of work station conditions, form of work, and length of time working as well as internal factors in the form of workers' health conditions and psychological conditions of workers. This study discusses the effect of work shifts on the workload of maintenance operators. Information about the workload on the work shifts to the operator can be known based on the subjective workload measurement using the NASA-TLX method as a psychological load measurement. The operator's workload information serves to determine whether the work carried out is in accordance with the workers' abilities so that they can work optimally. The results showed that the mental load conditions of all maintenance operators were included in the high level mental workload with an average score of 62.08 workload on shift I and 69.02 shift II. The calculation results obtained that FCount (3.7)< FTable (4.414), then H0 is accepted, meaning that the work shift has an effect on the Operator's Mental Burden. In addition, the results of the calculation show that FCount (3.698) < FTable (4.414), then H0 is accepted, and it means that the average workload in shift I and Shift II is not significantly different.

Abstract

This The existence of Indonesia's strategic geographical location, which is located between two oceans and continents, including the Indian and Pacific oceans and the continents of Asia and Australia. Dimann Indonesia is located as a strategic maritime axis, both for various relations and world trade routes. In addition, Indonesia has regulations regarding state sovereignty that must be maintained and guarded from various forms of threats, both from outside and from within. Then Indonesia must have various TNI defense equipment capabilities that are quite adequate and reliable for defense and security tools in maintaining the sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia and guarding from various disturbances, threats and challenges as well as various obstacles that exist both from abroad and from within the country. For this reason, in overcoming this, the development and development of the defense industry is very necessary. In this study, there are main issues, namely the policy of the defense industry in supporting maritime defense in Indonesia. The method used in this research is qualitative in the form of descriptive and juridical analysis that is needed to analyze problems regarding the implementation of defense industry policies in supporting Indonesian maritime defense due to the strategic location of Indonesia's territory. The results of the analysis and study of the problem show that the defense industry owned by Indonesia is very strategic so that defense equipment has an important role in protecting Indonesia's sovereign territory. The defense industry policy started with the establishment of the KKIP (Defense Industry Policy Committee) based on Presidential Regulation (Presidential Regulation) No. 42 of 2010 and Law (Law) No. 16 of 2012 concerning the defense industry and Presidential Regulation (Presidential Regulation) No. 59 of 2013. On this basis it can show where the defense industry will be developed in the territory of Indonesia, to get a defense industry that has the reliability to produce defense equipment in maintaining the sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia

Abstract

This research is due to concerns in preparing a competent workforce according to the expectations of the business and industry world (DUDI), Vocational Schools need to make new breakthroughs, one of which is the Teaching Factory learning program so that students are more skilled, independent, competitive and entrepreneurial. The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze Teaching Factory Learning Management in Growing the Entrepreneurial Spirit of Vocational High School Students with qualitative methods. The results of this study reveal that: (1) Teaching Factory Learning Management Planning in Growing the Entrepreneurial Spirit of Vocational School Students, is in accordance with the needs of the Business/Industry World (DUDI) through link and match collaboration; (2). Organizing Teaching Factory Learning Management in Growing the Entrepreneurial Spirit of Vocational School Students, hierarchically the school principal has carried out an organization that can assist the implementation of entrepreneurial activities in accordance with the planned program; (3). Implementation of Teaching Factory Learning Management in Fostering the Entrepreneurial Spirit of Vocational School Students by forming a small team to assist the task of implementing entrepreneurial activities that are considered to have met the criteria; (4). Evaluation of Teaching Factory Learning Management in Developing the Entrepreneurial Spirit of Vocational School Students conducted by teachers on entrepreneurship activities that are carried out regularly and continue to make improvements and improvements to the learning process on a regular basis; (5). Supporting factors and inhibiting factors for Teaching Factory Learning Management in Fostering the Entrepreneurial Spirit of Vocational School Students where creative and innovative teachers have been able to develop production units, especially Honda motorcycle repair shops, while the constraint on budget allocation is still limited; (6). The concept of Principal Leadership through Teaching Factory Learning Management in Growing the Entrepreneurial Spirit of Vocational School Students, entrepreneurial attitudes have been reflected in students who are practicing industrial work, this can be seen from the ability of students to try something, do not feel satisfied quickly, dare to take risks, and compete to get the best results.

Abstract

The contribution of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to the economy has indeed been proven, but on the other hand, business actors of this scale also still face many problems, and one of them is in managing their finances, especially in using accounting information in making various decisions. The manager's perception is strongly suspected to be one of the keys. This study aims to obtain information about the perceptions and accounting knowledge of SMEs, and their effect on the use of accounting information for decision making. This research was conducted by using the object of SME owners in the Mojokerto Regency area, which were selected and surveyed randomly. The analysis was carried out descriptively using Chi Square analysis. . Abstract

The threat of underwater warfare in the future is increasing with technological developments. The Indonesian Navy has the task of building and fostering maritime defense forces, one of which is the capability of underwater warfare. Underwater warfare capabilities are fostered by carrying out research and development in order to increase the independence of the national underwater maritime defense industry. In carrying out research and development, it is necessary to analyze the partners of higher education institutions based on the specified criteria. The results of the AHP analysis show that ITB has the highest value compared to ITS and UNHAS.

Abstract

Penelitian ini akan membahas tentang implementasi dan analisa metode peramalan kepada permintaan produk minuman kopi di CV Fajar Timur Lestari yang berlokasi di Kawasan Industri Medan, Sumatera Utara. Saat ini metode peramalan di CV Fajar Timur Lestari kurang efektif dan akurat di mana hanya menggunakan data satu periode sebelumnya untuk memperkirakan permintaan di periode berikutnya. Di dalam penelitian ini metode peramalan yang akan dikaji adalah metode peramalan exponential smoothing dan weighted moving average. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan rekomendasi kepada CV Fajar Timur Lestari akan metode peramalan yang tepat di mana meminimalisasi error atau deviasi antara forecast dan data actual permintaan sehingga akan meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas dalam manajemen operasional dan mata rantai pasokan produk minuman kopi tersebut. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah dengan wawancara, observasi, pengambilan data historis dan studi literatur yang berhubungan dengan pembahasan ini. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa metode penelitian terbaik dari metode weighted moving average dan exponential smoothing untuk permintaan produk minuman kopi K di CV Fajar Timur Lestari adalah exponential smoothing dengan α= 0.2 dan peramalan untuk bulan Juni 2022 adalah 3040 units.
