Abstract

Background/Objectives: India has largest children population, but unfortunately this population has seriousenemies in the form of communicable diseases. Diarrhoeal disease is among the biggest killer of children inIndia. Our objective is to analyze the trend of mortality among Indian children due to diarrhea across threemajor age groups. Further to suggest ways to manage this disease effective by adopting preventive measures.Methods/Statistics: Secondary data is analyzed by using ANOVA, Tukey Post hoc and partial correlation. Results & Findings: There is a significant difference between the mortality due to diarrhoeal diseases ofchildren across Neonatal, Post neonatal and under five years of age in India. Post hoc test suggests thatmortality due to diarrhoeal diseases of children is significant for Post neonatal and neonatal age group. Thereis very strong and negative correlation has been found between Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of India andmortality due to diarrhoeal diseases in children.Applications: Better management practices are suggested to control number of cases of diarrhoeal diseasesbased on children age groups. To fight against Post neonatal and children under five years of age mortalitydue to diarrhoeal diseases, government in India can frame similar but effective policies.

Abstract

Oral health problem needs special attention around worldwide, including in Indonesia. This study analyzedfactors related to oral health problems, including tooth-brushing behavior, dental visit, and public healthcenters with many dentistsin all provinces in Indonesia. In this study, the ecological approach was carriedoutusing secondary data from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia in 2018.Data from 34provinces in Indonesia regarding tooth brushing behavior, dental visit, and public health centers with asufficient number of dentistswere analyzed against the proportion of oral health problems using crosstabulation. This study found that the ratio of oral health problems in Indonesia is in the moderate categoryandtooth brushing behavior, dental visit, and public health centers with many dentistsin all provinces. Thus, oral health promotion and preventionthrough increasing awareness of maintaining oral health and equaldistribution of dentists must be carried out to establish healthy community behavior in all provinces inIndonesia.

Abstract

Background: According to the Glossary of the American Association of Endodontists, resorption is definedas a condition associated with either a physiologic or a pathologic process resulting in the loss of dentin, cementum, or bone. It may present internally (pulpal origin) or externally (periodontal origin). Internalresorption is a rare, insidious, resorptive pathological process, starting from the pulp extending into thesurrounding dentin. Treatment is mainly focused on arresting the cellular activity accounting for theresorptive process.Methodology: A patient presented with an upper front tooth that was tender on percussion and a history oftrauma in her childhood which resulted in Ellis class II fracture of the tooth. Pulp sensibility testing showeda negative response suggestive of a non-vital tooth. A non-surgical endodontic therapy was carried out underthe microscope with calcium hydroxide dressings followed by the three-dimensional obturation techniqueusing thermoplasticized Gutta percha. Conclusion: The current case report discusses the etiology and symptoms of internal inflammatoryresorption, the contribution of cone beam computed tomography imaging in its diagnosis, and a step wiseprotocol for the three dimensional obturation of the resorptive lesion.

Abstract

Background: Cancer is the second leading cause of death globally. Most of the anticancer drugs showed poorselectivity. Medicinal plants have proven, historically, their value as a source of molecules with therapeuticpotential. Aim and objective: This study aims to optimize the method of extraction, identification, qualitativeand quantitative analysis of Capsaicin (CAP) from Jordanian Capsicum annuum (C. annuum), and toinvestigate the anticancer activity of the crude extract. Methods: The plants extract from C. annuum wasobtained by Soxhlet extraction, HPLC were used for qualitative and quantitative analysis, and Cytotoxicpotentials was investigated by Cell viability (MTT).Results: Our results showed that Hexan solventrepresented a convenient yield of extraction and the highest percentage of CAP yield with better purity ofextract in comparison with other solvents, Jordan Valley ‘’Al-Ghor’’ showed the highest percentage of CAPyield in extract. Additionally, C. annuum crude extract showed dose depended cytotoxicity activity againsta cancer cell. Conclusion, we have optimized the isolated, qualitative and quantitative analysis of CAP fromthe fruits of C. annuum growing in Jordan in fast and reproducible method.

Abstract

The Water resources Conservation Program is one part of environmental preservation in which is nowimplemented by the Government. Buy the Law Number 17 of 2019 on Water Resources. The regulation inthe context of its implementation is faced with aspects of legal awareness and legal compliance of all partieswho are often unaware of the significance of the water in life. The research result shows an irony whileunderstood that water conservation activities is a responsibility of some parties only. Many breakthroughs canbe used to maintain the environment preservation as a norm, implementation of the principle of participation, especially in the industrial area so that the sustainability of the environment system is maintained to maintainthe ideals of sustainable development and reduce the environmental hazard. One of the solutions offeredis based on the values of human resources concept, which is the foundation of the environmental law byadhering to the principle of participation in sustainable development.
