Abstract

The interpretation of the Qur'an related to education in preserving and protecting the environment has significant relevance in addressing current global environmental challenges. This article aims to examine Qur'anic verses that emphasize the importance of a harmonious relationship between humans and the environment and their implications for ecological education. A thematic approach is employed to analyze Qur'anic verses such as QS. Al-Baqarah: 205, QS. Al-A'raf: 31, and QS. Ar-Rum: 41, which highlight humanity's responsibility as stewards (khalifah) on Earth. This study reveals that the Qur'an provides fundamental principles for maintaining ecosystem balance, including the prohibition of corruption (fasad), wise resource management, and respect for Allah's creations. In the context of education, these values can be implemented by integrating Qur'anic teachings into formal and non-formal education curricula to foster ecological awareness from an early age. The findings of this study are expected to contribute both theoretically and practically to developing an education paradigm based on the values of rahmatan lil 'alamin to achieve environmental sustainability.

Abstract

Literature review using Systematic Literature Review (SLR) on differentiated mathematics learning (MDI) related to content, process, and product differentiation is still rare. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to conduct a literature search on MDI related to content, process, and product differentiation. The stages of SLR are planning, article search, analysis, and interpretation of results. The digital libraries used are Scopus and Science Direct. The selection process uses the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematics Reviews (PRISMA) method. Based on the selection process, two main articles were obtained. The article analysis process was carried out in two stages, namely bibliometric analysis to determine the relationship between words used in previous studies, and article analysis by answering research questions compiled in the planning stage so as to obtain the state of the art. The results of the article review analysis obtained that there is no continuous teacher professional development on content, process and product differentiation based on multiple intelligences, learning styles, learning readiness levels, learning motivation, self-concept, critical and creative thinking abilities of students, no development of mathematics instruction for problem solving, connection, communication, reasoning, critical thinking, or mathematical creative thinking, no assessment of students' affective responses to MDI, and no clustering of students using the K-Means and K-Medoids methods. The results of this study are expected to provide knowledge and further research development related to MDI.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and explore in depth the perceptions, views, and beliefs of parents of students at the PGRI Kindergarten in Samba Bakumpai Village regarding the role or contribution of physical education in optimising the development of their children's gross and fine motor skills at an early age. The method used is a qualitative approach, involving in-depth interviews with parents of children aged 3-6 years at PGRI Kindergarten in Samba Bakumpai Village. The findings of this study confirm that parents generally recognise the importance of physical activities that can develop motor skills in young children. However, their perceptions of the specific role of physical education in developing structured motor skills still need to be improved. Parents' understanding of physical education in children's motor development indicates the need for more intensive socialisation from the school/early childhood education institution to parents. Explanations regarding the objectives of the physical education curriculum, the types of motor skills developed, and how parents can support them at home would be highly beneficial. Additionally, collaboration between schools and families is crucial. Schools can provide suggestions for simple physical activities that can be done at home, while parents can create an environment that supports children's movement.

Abstract

This research explores the effect of competitive anxiety on peak performance among adolescent basketball athletes from XX Club in Denpasar. Competitive anxiety, often unaddressed, can significantly impair athletes' concentration, emotion regulation, and overall performance. Using a predictive correlational quantitative design, data were gathered from 42 student-athletes through standardized scales for anxiety and peak performance. Statistical analyses, including Pearson correlation and simple linear regression, revealed that anxiety significantly and positively affects peak performance (p = 0.030). Although contributing only 11.2% to performance variance, the results indicate that adaptive levels of anxiety may enhance athletes' mental preparedness. Implications for psychological training programs are discussed.

Abstract

Self-confidence is a fundamental aspect of early childhood personality development, influencing children’s readiness for social interaction, learning, and independent task completion. UNICEF (2022) highlights that children with higher self-confidence are more adaptive to challenges, more sociable, and better prepared for formal education. In Indonesia, strengthening character and personality has been emphasized in the Merdeka Curriculum and Early Childhood Education (PAUD) programs, including at the kindergarten level. Nevertheless, data from the Ministry of Education and Culture (2021) indicate that over 40% of children aged 4–6 still demonstrate low self-confidence, particularly in remote island regions with limited resources. This study applied Classroom Action Research (CAR) in TK B SPS Negeri Bale, aiming to enhance self-confidence through the implementation of Reward Asyik during Sabira Island play activities. The results revealed significant improvement across two cycles, where in Cycle I only 15–30% of children reached the Developing Very Well (BSB) category and the Undeveloped (BB) category remained high at 25–10%, while in Cycle II the proportion of children in the BSB category increased to 20–40% and the BB category dropped sharply to 5%. These findings suggest that well-designed and enjoyable rewards can effectively foster self-confidence, encouraging children to actively participate, take initiative, and engage more confidently in learning activities.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the improvement of early literacy skills through environmental introduction activities at Sekolah Alam Jingga, Bekasi Utara. The background of this study is based on the importance of literacy as a fundamental skill for early childhood, serving as the foundation for cognitive, language, and social development. However, preliminary observations indicated that children’s early literacy skills were still varied, literacy activities were often perceived as monotonous, and the use of the school environment as a learning resource had not been fully optimized. The research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The study was conducted in two cycles with first-grade students at Sekolah Alam Jingga as the research subjects. Data collection instruments included observation sheets, field notes, and documentation, focusing on indicators of early literacy development such as vocabulary mastery, pre-writing skills, and symbol recognition. The findings revealed that environmental introduction activities significantly improved students’ early literacy skills. This was evident from the increased active participation, curiosity, enthusiasm, and the ability to recognize symbols, letters, and simple words through direct experiences. Learning based on environmental exploration made the process more contextual, meaningful, and enjoyable. Therefore, it can be concluded that integrating environmental introduction activities with literacy learning is an effective strategy to enhance early literacy development in young learners.

Abstract

Enhancing Positive Character of Children Aged 5-6 Years Through Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) Activities at BKB PAUD Pelangi, East Jakarta (2025). Undergraduate Thesis. Jakarta: Universitas Panca Sakti Bekasi. 2025. This study aims to enhance the positive character of children aged 5-6 years through Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) activities at BKB PAUD Pelangi, East Jakarta. The development of positive character in early childhood serves as an essential foundation for personality growth that will influence their future life. PHBS activities were chosen as a learning medium because they integrate physical health aspects with character building through the habituation of positive daily behaviors. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (lCAR) with the Kemmis and McTaggart model, carried out in two action cycles. Eachl cycle consisted of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that consistent and structured PHBS activities can foster the development of positive character traits in children, such as discipline, responsibility, independence, and environmental awareness. The habituation of PHBS not only improves children’s health but also stimulates the development of positive character from an early age. This research concludes that PHBS can serve as an effective strategy to improve positive character of young children in educational settings.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the expressive language skills of children aged 4–5 years through roleplaying activities at TKIT Insan Kamil. The research employed the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method using Kurt Lewin’s model, conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were 20 children in group A. Based on the overall results, in the pre-cycle the children’s expressive language skills were at 33.00%, increasing to 43.00% in cycle I, and showing a significant improvement in cycle II, reaching 81.00%. Role-playing activities proved effective in encouraging children to expand their vocabulary, construct simple sentences, and build confidence in speaking. The improvement from the pre-cycle to cycle II indicates that the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method had a significant positive impact on the development of children’s expressive language skills. Thus, role- playing activities are proven to be effective in enhancing young children’s expressive language abilities by encouraging them to broaden their vocabulary, form simple sentences, and develop self-confidence in communication.
