Abstract

Purpose: This Community Service (PKM) program aims to accelerate SDG 4 (Quality Education) by assisting Universitas Islam Riau students in preparing comprehensive scholarship application packages (essays and motivation letters) for the Pertamina Foundation scholarship. Method: The implementation method consists of four structured stages: preparation, intensive interactive mentoring, final evaluation, and achievement metrics data analysis. Results/findings: The intensive mentoring approach successfully improved participants' technical readiness. This is statistically indicated by a 9.99% increase in average pre-test to post-test scores (from 60.76% to 70.75%), backed by a 100% participant satisfaction rate on a Likert-scale survey. Conclusions: Through a responsive, two-way coaching approach, this program has demonstrably succeeded in enhancing the conceptual understanding, technical readiness, and learner autonomy of students at the Universitas Islam Riau in preparing scholarship application documents. Limitations: The scope of this study is constrained by technical network asymmetry, limited mentoring duration, and short-term evaluation metrics. Additionally, the study does not capture long-term sustainability effects, as post-intervention outcomes beyond the observation period were not assessed. Contributions: This program contributes to Academic Capacity Building and institutional SDG 4 acceleration by providing a highly effective, replicable intervention model for student financial attainment.

Abstract

Purpose: This program aims to reconstruct youth character and reduce consumer gadget addiction by integrating traditional Kompangan arts with digital technology Research Methodology: Conducted in Mendalo Indah Village, Jambi, this quantitative study involved 15 youths purposively sampled using a One-Group Pretest-Posttest design. Primary data were collected via a Google Forms questionnaire. The intervention involved training in the Kompangan interlocking rhythm ensemble. Data were analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk test and Paired Samples T-Test via SPSS. Results: Evaluations indicated significant character improvements. The Paired Samples T-Test showed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), with average scores increasing from 57.50 to 75.17. Discipline, responsibility, and cooperation were in the high category, while love of culture was in the very high category. Conclusion: Digitally adapted Kompangan art is an effective pedagogical tool. It successfully transformed youth behavior, breaking the cycle of gadget-induced individualism and fostering collective rhythmic commitment. Limitations: The study is limited by a small sample size (15 youths), a lack of longitudinal post-program monitoring, and the absence of specific psychometric instruments to quantitatively assess reductions in gadget addiction. Contribution: Practically, this study serves as a reference for village governments in developing youth policies. Academically, it enriches literature in the sociology of art, social pedagogy, and cultural studies regarding local wisdom preservation.

Abstract

Purpose: This study evaluates the service quality of the 2024 Entrepreneurial Skills Education Program in Motorcycle Automotive Engineering using the integrated Service Quality (SERVQUAL) and Importance–Performance Analysis (IPA) approaches.Research Methodology: A quantitative descriptive approach was employed involving 40 young automotive entrepreneurs in Riau Province. Data were collected using a SERVQUAL-based questionnaire and analyzed through SERVQUAL gap analysis and IPA.Results: The SERVQUAL analysis showed negative gap scores across all service quality dimensions, indicating that participants' expectations exceeded perceived performance. Responsiveness recorded the largest gap (?3.400), followed by empathy (?1.675) and assurance (?1.175). The IPA results identified workshop cleanliness, workshop equipment, and service equipment reliability as priority areas for improvement, while clear communication and fair service should be maintained. Conclusions: The integration of SERVQUAL and IPA effectively identifies service quality gaps and improvement priorities, providing practical guidance for enhancing entrepreneurial training quality in the automotive sector.Limitations: The study was limited to 40 participants from a single training program in Riau Province, which may limit the generalizability of the findings.Contributions: This study extends the application of the SERVQUAL–IPA framework to vocational entrepreneurship training and provides practical recommendations for training institutions and policymakers to improve service quality.

Abstract

Purpose: This community-service article reports hygiene and sanitation conditions identified through environmental health inspections and describes targeted food-safety feedback delivered at three food premises in the Nusantara Capital Authority office area, Indonesia.Research Methodology: This descriptive cross-sectional case series involved one snack outlet and two class-A1 restaurants. Compliance was assessed using Ministry of Health Regulation No. 17 of 2024 checklists, with scores calculated from applicable compliant items. Data were analyzed descriptively, and immediate educational feedback was provided during inspections. Results: Premises A, B, and C recorded 13/86, 25/225, and 23/225 nonconforming items, producing compliance scores of 84.88%, 88.89%, and 89.78%, respectively. Raw nonconformity counts were not directly compared because checklist denominators differed. Identified gaps concerned personal hygiene, protective clothing, nail cleanliness, covered waste bins, internal labeling, freezer arrangement, thawing procedures, kitchen temperature, fly control, training documentation, and annual health-examination records. Conclusions: The inspections identified premise-specific corrective priorities and enabled immediate, context-specific feedback. Findings were limited to the three inspected premises and cannot demonstrate intervention effectiveness, behavioral change, contamination, or wider regional compliance. Limitations: Limitations included a single inspection, no posteducation reassessment, microbiological or chemical testing, severity weighting, or inter-rater reliability assessment. Contribution: This article provides a transparent inspectionfeedback procedure for similar community-service activities, with appropriate local adaptation, current regulatory references, and follow-up evaluation.
