Abstract

Purpose: his community service program aimed to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of financial administration at BUMDes “Suka Makmur” through digital financial reporting. The partner BUMDes still used manual bookkeeping, causing slow processes, frequent errors, and non-compliance with the PDTT Decree No. 136/2022. Traditional marketing also limited product reach. Methodology: The implementation method consisted of several stages: (1) socialization of the importance of financial digitalization; (2) training on the use of a simple accounting application tailored to BUMDes needs; (3) intensive mentoring in preparing digital financial reports; and (4) digital marketing training through e-commerce platforms and social media. Evaluation was carried out through observation, interviews, and assessment of participants’ reports. Results: The program improved administrators’ ability to prepare standardized digital financial reports and utilize digital tools for marketing. It also enhanced transparency, accountability, and trust from the community and local government. Conclusions: The community service activity conducted at BUMDes Suka Makmur, Ibru Village, has successfully enhanced the capacity of BUMDes managers in digital-based financial management and digital marketing. Limitations: The short duration, implementation in only one BUMDes, limited facilities, and participants’ varying digital literacy constrained the optimal application of the digital system and limited long-term impact assessment. Contributions: This program offers a practical model for digital transformation in rural development and contributes to agribusiness, development economics, and accounting information systems through improved digital financial and marketing competencies of BUMDes managers.

Abstract

Purpose: This community service program aims to evaluate the effectiveness of participatory training in empowering Banaran Village farmers to adopt plant-based pesticides based on onion peel waste, in order to reduce dependence on synthetic chemical pesticides. Research Methodology: This participatory research involved 12 participants from nine farmer groups. Evaluation used pre- and post-tests (10 essay questions), practical skills observations, and an adoption interest questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted using paired t-tests and percentages. Results: There was a significant increase in knowledge, with the average score increasing from 42.3 (pretest) to 86.5 (posttest). Ninety-one-six percent of participants (11 people) successfully formulated the correct ratio, and 83.3% (10 people) expressed a high level of interest in adopting the technology. Conclusions: This program is effective in improving farmers' literacy and technical skills regarding botanical pesticides. Utilizing local waste has the potential to lower production costs and support sustainable agriculture. Limitations: This research was limited to one village with a short duration, a limited number of participants, no laboratory tests were conducted on the quality of the extract, and the evaluation only covered short-term impacts. Contributions: This research contributes to the field of sustainable agriculture and organic waste management, and can be a model for community empowerment based on local potential for other villages.

Purpose: This study aims to enhance the technological competence of vocational high school students through the introduction of Python programming and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to improve their digital literacy and computational thinking skills. Methodology: This study was conducted at Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Sultan Iskandar Muda, involving 44 tenth-grade vocational high school students. The program applied a quasi-experimental approach with a pretest–posttest design to measure students’ understanding before and after training. The training activities included lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on coding practice using Python 3.10, Google Colab, and Microsoft PowerPoint as learning tools. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and evaluation tests to measure the students’ knowledge of programming concepts and AI applications. Results: The results showed a significant improvement in students’ understanding after they participated in the training program. The average pretest score of 53.5 increased to 82.8 in the post-test. Students demonstrated better comprehension of Python programming concepts, including syntax, variables, data types, and input–output commands, as well as greater awareness of Artificial Intelligence applications in everyday life. Conclusions: The training program effectively improved students’ technological competence and increased their interest in learning programming and in emerging technologies. Limitations: The study was limited by the short training duration and differences in students’ initial knowledge levels. Abstract

Purpose: This community engagement program aimed to strengthen the leadership capacity of church leaders through transformational leadership training within a local association of church leaders in South Tangerang, Indonesia. Research Methodology: The program was conducted on February 19, 2026, using a hybrid format combining offline and online participation. More than 50 church leaders, including pastors, ministry coordinators and theology students, participated in the study. Training was conducted using a participatory educational approach through lectures, theological reflection, interactive discussions, and case-based dialogue. The materials focused on four dimensions of transformational leadership: idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration. Results: The training improved participants’ understanding of transformational leadership, shifting their perspective from administrative responsibilities to vision-driven, relational, and empowering leadership, while also strengthening collaboration among churches and encouraging shared ministry initiatives. Conclusions: Transformational leadership training can serve as an effective community engagement strategy to enhance leadership capacity in faith-based organizations. Integrating leadership theory with biblical perspectives provides practical guidance for church leaders to manage ministry, foster collaboration, and promote sustainable organizational development. Limitations: The activity involved participants from a limited regional network and relied primarily on qualitative feedback rather than on long-term evaluation. Contributions: This study contributes to community development practices in religious organizations and highlights the importance of leadership education in strengthening faith-based institutions.
