This study discusses the katakana mastery of grade X students in SMAN 4 Pariaman. The aim of this study was to find out the katakana mastery of grade X students in SMAN 4 Pariaman. This research is quantitative research which the samples were the students of X IPA 3 consisting of 25 students for each class. The data in this study are done by using the grade X students' scores of the katakana test results. Based on the results of data analysis in this research, it can be concluded that the katakana mastery of grade X students in SMAN 4 Pariaman after using Katakana Memory Hint application is categorized in good qualifications with 81.76 as the average score. Meanwhile their mastery of katakana before using Katakana Memory Hint application is in more than sufficient qualifications with 61,92 as the average score. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, it is concluded that there is a significant effectiveness and use of Katakana Memory Hint application on katakana mastery of grade X students of SMAN 4 Pariaman because of the value of thitung>ttabel (6,08>1,68).

Tindak tutur asertif memiliki begitu banyak fungsi yang berbeda sehingga, sulit untuk membedakannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji lebih dalah tentang tindak tutur asertif beserta fungsi dan bentuk kalimatnya dalam anime Nichijou karya Keiichi Arawi. Penelitian ini termasuk kedalam salah satu penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif analisis. Penelitian kualitatif dipilih karena data yang diteliti berupa tuturan yang perlu dijelaskan dan dideskripsikan dengan kata-kata. Setelah dilakukan pengumpulan dan analisis data, pada penelitian ini ditemukan fungsi memberitahukan sebanyak 27 data, fungsi menyatakan sebanyak 4 data, fungsi menyarankan sebanyak 10 data, fungsi menyombongkan sebanyak 2 data, fungsi mengeluh sebanyak 16 data dan fungsi menuntut sebanyak 2 data. Sedangkan bentuk kalimat, kalimat berita sebanyak 37 data, kalimat tanya sebanyak 11 data dan kalimat perintah sebanyak 12 data. Fungsi memberitahukan merupakan fungsi yang paling dominan dibandingkan dengan fungsi lainnya karena tindak tutur asertif sendiri erat kaitannya dengan penyampaian atau pemberitahuan suatu keadaan. Selain itu anime Nichijou yang menceritakan tentang kehidupan sehari-hari anak SMA dengan permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh massing-masing karakter anime ini. Hal inilah yang menjadi alasan mengapa dalam hassil penelitian ini fungsi memberitahukan lebih mendominasi.

Japanese lessons in Indonesian schools have limited learning methods, especially in ability to speak Japanese which has an impact on student’s interest in speaking Japanese. Therefore, a method is needed such as a role play method to help improve student’s speaking ability in Japanese. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the role play method on ability to speak Japanese in class X IPS 4 SMAN 7 Padang. This research was a quantitative research with a quasi-experimental type, with a posttest only control group design. While the sampling technique used purposive sampling technique. The sample in this study were students of class X IPS 4 with a total 32 students, 16 students as the control class and 16 students as experimental class. The data in this study are the posttest result from the control class and the experimental class. The result of data analysis,obtained t_count and t_table a significant level of 0,05% is 2.04 with degree of freedom dk=n1+n2. This means t_count > t_table (2,72>2,04). The hypothesis is accepted, because t_count > t_table. So, the role play method has an effect on the ability to speak Japanese in class X IPS 4 students of SMAN 7 Padang.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui a) jenis campur kode dan bentuk pada tataran kata, b) faktor yang melatarbelakangi campur kode yang dilakukan oleh anak pernikahan antar bangsa melalui media sosial. Informan dalam penelitian ini yaitu anak-anak hasil pernikahan antarbangsa Bali-Jepang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa anak-anak hasil pernikahan antarbangsa dalam berkomunikasi menggunakan media sosial seperti Line, Direct Message dan whatsapp anak-anak tersebut mencampurkan bahasanya pada saat berkomunikasi dengan temannya melalui fitur chat Line, Direct Message, dan whatsapp. Dalam penelitian ini terdapat satu Jenis campur kode yang ditemukan yaitu Campur kode keluar. Selain itu terdapat faktor yang melatarbelakangi anak-anak tersebut mencampurkan bahasanya seperti faktor lingkungan sekitar, faktor kurangnya memahami kosa kata yang tepat, hingga pada faktor dari kebiasaan. Serta terdapat analisis mengenai bentuk kebahasaan campur kode pada tataran kata dalam bahasa Jepang yang terdapat dalam obrolan anak hasil pernikahan antar bangsa dengan temannya.

Dalam kategori I-Keiyoushii terdapat dua kata sifat mempunyai arti yang sama namun makna nya berbeda dalam kalimat bahasa Jepang, yaitu tanoshii dan ureshii. Oleh karena itu, penulis melakukan penelitian mengenai tanoshii dan ureshii ditinjau dalam segi maknanya berdasarkan kemampuannya. Dari hasil penelitian ini penulis merumuskan permasalahan, yaitu bagaimana kemampuan tanoshii dan ureshii mahasiswa tahun masuk 2019 prodi pendidikan bahasa Jepang Universitas Negeri Padang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif yang pengambilan datanya menggunakan tes yang diberikan kepada mahasiswa Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang angkatan 2019 Universitas Negeri Padang. Dari hasil penelitian, ditemukan rata-rata kemampuan tanoshii dan ureshii secara keseluruhan mahasiswa pendidikan bahasa Jepang angkatan 2019 Universitas Negeri Padang adalah 64,5 cukup baik dalam penggunaannya. Berdasarkan maknanya terdapat : (1) tanoshii bermakna menikmati suatu keadaan dengan rata-rata 60,5 (2) tanoshii bermakna menyatakan kesenangan yang berkaitan dengan kegiatan dengan rata-rata 70,6 (3) urehsii bermakna menyatakan senang sebab sesuatu yang diharapkan sesuai keinginan dengan rata-rata 65 (4) ureshii bermakna sebab mendapatkan sesuatu yang berharga dengan rata-rata 65,2. Dan dengan adanya penelitian ini diharapkan dapat dijadikan evaluasidalam penyampaian materi pada proses pengajaran penggunaan kedua kata sifat tersebut, sehingga pemahaman pembelajar menjadi semakin baik lagi.

Japanese has the concept of apologizing, because in Japanese there are levels of language. There are also various apologies in Japanese, one of which is the sumimasen expression. In learning Japanese, especially in basic learning, sumimasen expressions are often found. This is because the expression sumimasen means formally apologizing or is included in learning aisatsu which is basic learning in Japanese. The purpose of this research was carried out because the expression sumimasen does not have a meaning as an expression of apologizing only, but can be used in different situations according to the context. This study used a qualitative descriptive method using a pragmatic approach. The technique used in this research is note tapping technique, in which the researcher himself acts as an observer in processing the data contained in the data source. This research focuses on the meaning of the sumimasen expression in the anime Bungou Sray Dogs by Kafka Asagiri. The results of this study are that although the expression sumimasen has 4 different meanings according to the context and situation of the speech, the meaning that is widely available and used is the meaning of apologizing. From these results, it can be seen that in Japanese the meaning of the expression sumimasen is used more as apologizing than the meaning of expressing gratitude, asking for help, or attracting attention or expressions of excuse.

Code mixing is a phenomenon that can be encountered in everyday life, but there are still many who do not realize that when communicate, sometimes we do code mixing. Youtube is a video-based social media that has social interactions in it. One type of video found on YouTube is a video blog and we can found code mixing on several video blogs. This study aims to describe the forms and causes of code mixing on the Erikacang YouTube video blog channel. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive methods. In this study, 17 data were found in the mixed code in the form of insertion, 28 mixed code for alternation forms, and one data for the form of congruent lexicalization. Meanwhile the findings of the cause of code mixing were 32 data caused by the habits of the speakers, three data was caused by there are no proper words in the used language, and 11 data because the speaker wanted to show off his learning or position.

This research is motivated by the average Japanese language value of 10th grade students below the KKM, which is 75, because they are unable to study effectively in a pandemic situation. This study aims to describe the effectiveness of learning using google classroom on students' Japanese learning outcomes. Population of this study were all 10th grade students of SMAN 16 Jakarta as many as 280 people. Meanwhile, for the sampling, the researcher used purposive sampling technique and the sample was class 10 Mipa 1 SMAN 16 Jakarta which consisted of 40 students as the experimental class. The method used in this research is quantitative with the type of quasi-experimental research and pretest-posttest design. The test instrument is in the form of multiple choices objective test. The results revealed that the t test of the sig value test. > significant 0.05 (0.722 > 0.05). This indicates that H0 is acceptable. Based on the results of the t-test, it can be concluded that learning using google classroom on students' Japanese learning outcomes is not effective.

This study discusses the effectiveness of using Kahoot on Hiragana mastery for high school students. The purpose of this study was to describe the effectiveness of using Kahoot on the mastery of hiragana for high school students. The type of research used is quantitative with quasi-experimental research methods and posttest only control group design research. The population of this research is class XI SMAN 12 Padang who learn Japanese as many as 226 people. As for the sampling, the researchers used class XI IPS 3 and XI IPS 5 at SMAN 12 Padang as many as 78 people. The test instrument is a multiple choice test. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that the mastery of Hiragana in class XI SMAN 12 Padang using Kahoot media was in very good qualification with an average value of 87.62. While the class without using Kahoot is in good qualification with an average value of 78.22. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, it is concluded that Kahoot is effective because the value of tcount > ttable (2.96 > 1.69).

Gairaigo is a type of Japanese vocabulary that comes from a foreign language and then adapted to the Japanese linguistic rules. Along with its development, many gairaigo underwent language changes of meaning compared to its original meaning. This will make Japanese language learners confused because it can lead them to different perception and will result in misinterpretation about the gairaigo meaning. This study aims to describe the semantic change of gairaigo which derived from English on the Marisol website. The type of research is a qualitative research with descriptive method. The data collection technique used in this research is to use watch method and note-taking technique. The data analysis techniques used in this study are match method and determining element sorting technique. The data used in this study is gairaigo which has changed the meaning contained in the Marisol website. The data source is the Marisol website. The result of this study showed that there were 39 data that have semantic change (underwent changes of meaning), there are 14 data whose meanings change broadly, 24 data meanings change to narrow and 1 data have total change in meaning.
