Abstract

Abstract This research focuses on the development of SIFAKUS (Sistem Informasi Fasilitas Khusus), a mobile-based application designed to digitalize the facility borrowing process for passengers with special needs at Aji Pangeran Tumenggung Pranoto Airport, Samarinda. The primary issue addressed is the inefficiency of the current manual system, which leads to response delays and data integrity risks. Utilizing the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, the system was built using the Flutter framework, Supabase (PostgreSQL), and Firebase Cloud Messaging for real-time operational support. The research results demonstrate that the implementation of SIFAKUS significantly improves operational efficiency, reducing the average service processing time from 15 minutes under the manual system to less than 3 minutes.Based on the evaluation using a Likert Scale through a User Acceptance Test (UAT) involving IT experts, airport practitioners, and users, the application achieved an average score of 87.5%. This score categorizes SIFAKUS as "Highly Feasible" for operational implementation. Technical validation via Black Box Testing also indicated a 100% functional success rate. Thus, SIFAKUS is proven to be an innovative, transparent, and inclusive digital solution in enhancing minimum service standards for disabled passengers in modern airport systems.

Abstract

Proses perancangan mengikuti tahapan UCD, yaitu understand context of use, specify user requirements, design solution, dan evaluate against requirements. Abstract The advancement of information technology has significantly transformed various industries, including the food and beverage sector, by shifting manual ordering systems to web-based digital platforms. DiSEL Cafe at Universitas Alma Ata has implemented a web-based ordering system; however, several usability issues were identified in terms of user interface (UI) and user experience (UX), such as the absence of a menu search feature, non-real-time stock updates, lack of order time information, and an unintuitive interface that affected both customers and administrators. These limitations reduced operational efficiency and user satisfaction. This study aims to redesign the UI/UX of the DiSEL Cafe ordering website using the User Centered Design (UCD) approach, which emphasizes active user involvement throughout the design process. A mixed-method approach was applied, combining qualitative data from interviews with five participants (customers and admin) and quantitative data collected through the System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire from 20 respondents. The design process followed four UCD stages: understand context of use, specify user requirements, design solution, and evaluate against requirements. The results demonstrate a significant improvement in usability, with the SUS score increasing from 39.38 (not acceptable category) in the existing system to 77.76 (acceptable category) in the redesigned prototype. This 38.38-point increase indicates substantial enhancement in usability quality. The proposed prototype can serve as a practical reference for future system development and optimization in similar campus-based food service environments.

Abstract

Abstract Digital transformation has become a crucial necessity for coffee businesses like Deka Coffee to keep pace with competitive industry dynamics and ever-increasing customer expectations. Currently, Deka Coffee still relies on a manual reservation system and conventional services. This condition limits the dissemination of information regarding menus and promotions, making it difficult for customers to check real-time seat availability before visiting. To address these operational issues, this study aims to design the User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) of the Deka Coffee website. The system design integrates the Design Thinking approach, which is centered on user empathy, and the Scrum framework to ensure a collaborative and iterative development process. The design process encompasses five main stages: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and testing. Usability testing was conducted by involving participants representing the target users through task scenarios using the Maze platform and the System Usability Scale (SUS) measurement. The test results showed an excellent task success rate of 93% and a SUS score of 71.1. These figures confirm that the website design falls into the 'acceptable' category with a Grade C rating. The findings of this study confirm that the Deka Coffee website prototype is feasible for implementation and can effectively enhance user convenience and experience in online ordering.
